Dr. John Cho grew up in southern California. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, graduating magna cum laude from UCLA. He then earned his dental degree from the prestigious University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Dr. Cho is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and local dental society. He is committed to continuing education courses as a way to offer the best and modern dentistry available. Dr Cho strives to provide caring, nurturing, and painless dentistry. His dedication to lifelong learning ensures you and your family the best dental care available, both today and in the future.

In his free time, Dr. Cho and his wife Cindy, enjoys spending time at the movies and playing golf. Dr. Cho is also an avid Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Dodgers fan.

I’ve been Dr. Cho’s patient for well over a year now. I am in the process of 3 implants. The easy-​going and friendly but always professional and knowledgeable Dr. Cho Never hurts me. He has a tricky way of numbing your mouth so that you get plenty of topical numbing agent and his special delivery injection of lidocaine is practically a light pinch if anything at all. And he has always sent me home with adequate pain control and antibiotics when necessary. I still have work to be done and I’m glad I’m having it done at Dr. Cho’s office. The staff is terrific. I usually see Jessie, the dental assistant and Linda cleans my teeth. Rose and Lauren run the office so they keep my appointments on track and squeeze out as much as possible from the insurance. It’s hard to find a dds you can trust but you can definitely get top quality care and relax in Dr. Cho’s office and the fees are very competitive.

Dr. John Cho and his staff are very welcoming and make coming to the dentist really easy… I recently had a temporary crown that I had for nearly 20 years. I had been putting it off because even the thought my first root canal experience made me avoid getting the permanent crown. I’ve only been coming to Dr. Cho for a year and he made me feel comfortable finally getting the permanent crown done! Thank you!

About six months ago I had to have all four of my wisdom teeth taken out, one of which was deeply impacted into the bone. Dr. John Cho and his staff were more than courteous and made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure, which went very smoothly. He personally followed up with me every couple of days to see how I was progressing and scheduled several check-​ups to ensure that my wounds were healing properly. Six months later, the holes were my wisdom teeth used to be have completely closed up and I had not experienced any problems post-​surgery. I would definitely recommend Dr. Cho to anyone who is terrified of going to the dentist (like myself) as he performs amazing work and truly cares about the well-​being of his patients. I will be going back to him for any future dental work that I may need.

I dont normally leave reviews but i think dr cho definitely deserves a recognition. No one enjoys going to the dentist. Lets be real. But if u have to go then this is where u wanna be. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Great dental hygienists. Great dental assistants who constantly check on u to make sure u are comfortable. And of course last but not least dr cho. He will keep it real w/​u. He wont do any unnecessary procedures. He will tell u exactly what needs to be done and go over the xrays with u. And if its out of his scope of practice he will refer u out to a specialist. He even numbs u w/​a gel before injecting the actual lidocaine injection which can be very painful. As much as i dislike visiting the dentist, it has to be done. And why not go somewhere where it will be the least painful? Honestly with fillings and root canals that i have done w/​dr cho… i have had no pain. Unfortunately u cant get around the sounds of the tools that sounds like theyre drilling a hole through your teeth, but ur welcome to bring headphones if that bothers u.

Dr. Cho is amazing. I’ve never had a dentist that I genuinely enjoyed going to. The entire staff is great and they are willing to work with you! The atmosphere and just the people working in his office make the place feel comfortable. His customer service is great as well. All my scheduled appointments have been on time and they even worked to squeeze me in when I had an emergency. Overall this will be my dentist I go to until I move or Dr. Cho closes his practice. If you want to take a chance with a dentist this is the right place to go!

Dr cho is the best dentist ever!!! I had a dentist I loved for 15 years who sold her practice and moved out of state. I took a chance with Dr. Cho because I had such bad dental trauma in the past and it was hard for me to trust anyone! He is that Dr you are looking for! Not only did he understand my fears of dentists but instinctively knew what was important to me. Personability, knowledge, and compassion. I know right, from a dentist! His office is equipped with state of the art technology and up to date procedures and options (no more metal fillings for me). His staff is without a doubt the nicest and accommodating to my needs and that is just as important. It is easy to get an appointment and in an emergency he is always available. I had a nerve die in one of my teeth and not only did he walk me through how to get through it but saw me at 6am the next morning! I can’t say this about many of my Heath care practitioners but he’s a keeper… until he moves haha. When you think of dentists you always picture Steve Martin from the little shop of horrors and let’s be honest, most of us are just too polite to switch or correct them on bad chair side manners. (Most of us aren’t Drs and feel like there’s a reason for mediocre healthcare). But if you want a dr who will really talk to you about what’s best for you Dr. Cho is the horse to bet on. After all healthcare has the word CARE in it. and that’s what he does, point blank!!! If you’re looking for a new dentist, just do it. you can thank me later :)

I visited Dr. Cho’s office to get a crown for one of my molars. I’ve had my share of painful drill to teeth experiences, so I was not excited about this visit. However, Dr. Cho and his staff made the procedure swift and painless. Naomi (I’m not sure if this is the correct spelling) was a pleasure and provided undivided attention during the whole procedure.
My experience here has made me want to move to Long Beach and become a regular at John H. Cho DDS. The overall experience and relaxing ambience at this place makes the long drive worth it! Dr. Cho is very knowledgeable, honest, kind, trustworthy, and very skilled at his profession. I look forward to my next visit!!!

Great doctor & staff. Everyone is very kind & helpful. By the time I left my cleaning after they told me I had 3 cavities that should be filled, the ladies already had a print out of how much I would have to pay for the fillings & got me scheduled. Cavity process was completely painless & I was out of there in 45 minutes with 3 cavities filled.
I had been nervous to leave my dentist I had been going to for 15 years when I got new insurance, but Dr. Cho is great & so far everything has been very easy & pain free! They also have a very homey, clean, neat environment that does not feel like a sterile dentist office and that always helps! :) Two thumbs up!

I’ve had wonderful experiences with Dr Cho and his office staff. I had about 7 months of braces (6 Month Smile), the staff and Dr Cho were very attentive, and got everything taken care of. The outcome was excellent. All of the routine work, cleanings, x-​rays, are a non-​issue as welI.

The moment you walk in the office you are greeted with big smiles & a welcome. The staff was super nice, friendly & professional. They made me feel comfortable. I can see where they get it from because Dr. Cho is just as amazing! I had a tooth ache he walked me through what the cause of it was and broke it down to me so that I can understand. During the procedure they constantly ask «how are you doing?» Or «your doing great!» Like am I in a dentist office? Lol Dr. Cho & his staff win my teeth! Lol

Office was very efficient. My appointment started exactly on-​time (I didn’t even have time to sit down in the lobby). The hygienist (Linda) did an excellent job. She explained everything that was going to happen, and was comforting when things were a bit tender. Dr Cho was great, took his time to show what work needed to be done and how it was to be performed. So far, I am glad I found this office.

Excellent Dentist! I’ve just recently found Dr. Cho and I’m so glad I did. My wife and I have had some good and some bad experiences in the past with other dentists. This is as good as it gets for a dentist’s office. I made an appointment online, they called me back right away. Easy to find, large free parking lot. Clean office, latest technology, nice and professional staff. Lindsay, one of the dental hygienists (sp?) was accommodating, nice, and very professional. Dr. Cho was the exact same. Quick, efficient, professional, and all the while explaining everything in a non-​judgmental way (which was really important for me since I have a terrible dental track record). Only took me 30 years, but I’ve finally found my permanent dentist. You should check them out too.

It’s not easy to find a good, reliable dentist. I’ve been seeing a different dentist locally but recently received a recommendation to go see Dr. Cho for a dental work I had to get done immediately.
I went to a local dentist who was unable to perform a root canal and instead left me with a referral to go elsewhere. In frustration, disappointment (and pain) I decided to give Dr. Cho a try and it turned out to be a great decision. He is detail oriented, takes time with patients to explain the procedure thoroughly and most importantly gentle at his work. making dental visits less dreadful. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a good dentist and I plan to continue going back with my husband for routine check ups as well. Thank you Dr. Cho and staff for a pleasant visit.
