Okay never go here if you’re getting an oil change. For my BMW 325i 2001, they were loosening the drain plug, and it broke in half. So they were telling me that I need to change the oil pan. They told me it costs around $ 200, $ 100 for labor and $ 100 for the oil pan.
This was just a simple oil change they had to do. They told me that they didn’t have the tools to fix it at all. Suggesting me to spend $ 200 ON THIS. It was only suppose to be $ 20 but become a much bigger problem. Had to tow my car to my house and get it fixed myself. Never get your oil change here please. Find someone you trust or do it yourself. Mechanics are hard to trust when you’re only a young person and think we don’t know anything. I just don’t get your oil change here!

Great service! Before purchasing a 2004 BMW 325ci i brought the car to Alfredo where he gave the car a diagnostic at an affordable price and super helpful. I ended up getting a new starter on the car and was running low on time and was afraid I wouldn’t make it to work on time. Alfredo let me use his own PERSONAL car so that I could be on my way. Very trustworthy and friendly! Go here!

First off: Let me say that Alfredo (the owner) was very kind, well-​spoken and determined there was nothing wrong with our car nor it’s new battery and he recharged the battery and tested it. We were not charged for any services. The matter of accurate diagnosis is still questionable as our vehicle could not be started the following day and we will have to tow it once again. This time, We will be taking the vehicle to a Dealership for the repairs and diagnostic testing.
Unfortunately, a local towing company who delivered our vehicle to this shop did in fact damage our vehicle while delivering to this mechanic’s shop after hours. It has cost us an insurance claim and only after this Unilocal review did the Tow truck driver come forward and confess his responsibility. The Driver from the Towing company has offered to pay for our out of pocket expenses to repair the damages to the body of the vehicle. It’s unfortunate, because now the Dealership won’t be able to run proper diagnostics and repairs until AFTER the body work is complete primarily because the damage caused by the Towing company will not allow our drivers side door to close. We now have needed to rent a car on top of everything else.

Had a major car incident on the freeway, long story short had to get my radiator replaced along with major, major work with my engine, as water went into the motor due to overheating. Alfredo got everything fixed and was able to work with my insurance. Honest guy, talked to me strait and gave me all the information. I have a 2012 Camry. No job to big or too small. So, now I sound a new great mechanic in Long Beach.

Car stalling on freeway while heavy traffic very scary situation. Alfredo performed electronic diagnostic then test drove car. Fortunately transmission was ok and block was ok. Radiator problem as well as thermostat issue. Alfredo called and got me the best price for a new radiator and saved me $ 200. Then he had mechanic drop me off at Starbucks while they made repairs. Furthermore he offered to tow my 2004 Ford Expedition to his facility and diagnose. No charge for tow. Great to find an honest mechanic whereby I will now send my granddaughters to his facility for mechanic repairs

I have been coming here to get my car serviced for the past few years and it has been a great experience each time. Alfredo is honest, fair, and trustworthy. I know that every time I come here I am going to get great service with reasonable prices. I won’t go anywhere else!

Alfredo looked and worked on my car. Great service, reasonable priced. brought my car in for a check engine light on the AP sensor. He recommended to just clean it, it worked, saved me a lot. Car runs like new again. He Also replaced my fog lights. Took only an hour and I was on my way.
He also previously fixed my AC, Rack and pinion over a year ago. Still working.

Exellcent service, he was very patient and kind. Usually men ruin over women and he doesn’t’t do that. Amazing prices.

Gallo Automotive pacific and Burnett you need go no further. Full service automotive. Honest and best mechanics. What more can you ask for. Im here today for a oil change. Once again Im very satisfied with the service.

So… I came here for a basic oil change. & filter replacement.
Since my car takes Mobil One full synthetic. I buy my own oil. Cheaper that way.
Well this really nice guy did the job… used my oil and change my filter. I payed a decent price. I will be back in future for oil changes.

Everyone here is so nice and eager to help. I bought a used car and two days later it wouldn’t start I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out what was wrong and convinced I had bought a lemon. the three other shops I called before Gallo were over-​booked and one was even dismissive about my problem. But I talked to Alfredo Gallo and he was able to look at my car immediately. Aaaaaand it was just the battery. What a relief!
But he picked up on my concern about the fact that I’d just bought this used car, so he took it upon himself to inspect it for me to ensure nothing else was wrong with the car. I’m so glad I came here and I’ll continue to bring my car here from now on.

My boyfriend get his oil change in this place. People are very attentive and helpful. Answers all your questions and has very good prices. You can’t go wrong about this place. Also its a plus that its near my neighborhood.

This shop gets my 100% support, They worked really hard on my BMW 3 series and never once complained. I know how hard it could be to find new parts for foreign cars and they searched and made phone calls to find a brand new cheap fuel pump for a 2012 BMW 3 series. They found the part in 30 minutes and i have to admit that i was really suprised at the price and in one hour the intire job was complete and i saved lots of money. They even threw in a complete oil change with new air filter and i havent had a problem out of my car sense. You would have to be insane not to try this place out espeacially if your looking for affordable reliable service i really appreciate these guys for their hard word and determination. Make sure to mention that you found them on Unilocal and you save a few bucks. I really Appreciate the hard work, Thanks Gallo Automotive.

Got an oil change here and it was fast and cheap. Just like the reviewers below said, there was only one guy working but I know that it isnt always like that. All in all, how many people do you think it takes to change oil people?! The guy was good, no problems with my vehicle afterwards.
I think the low rating reviews below are people who had problems with their car prior to taking their car in for simple oil changes, because I have to give credit to a good shop, especially if other people are not.

Great place to get your vehicles full diagnostic, to ensure that your vehicle is dependable for any trip. I have been getting all my vehicles serviced there since 2007, from my 53 Desoto to my 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. I travel to Texas every year and I never get on the road without my vehicle being inspected for long distance travel by Pedro or Alfredo Gallo.

I’m going to echo all of the other one-​star experiences here and advise everyone to STAY AWAY from this place!
They changed our oil, but didn’t know how to fix the numbers or get rid of the service light. They tacked on weird extra charges. The customer service sucks balls.
I don’t like to be a dick, but these folks are highly incompetent, and doing business with them is an extremely frustrating experience.

DO’NT GO! This place is DEPLORABLE! AWFUL and anything else you can think! As stated by the others, they get you in to charge you up the wazoo for things that should already be included in an oil change. Like the extra quart of oil and oil filter. REALLY!!? I will NEVER take my car back. My car has been sounding funny and running rough since I went there for a simple oil change. I dont’ know what the mechanic did to my car, but he did something! ONCE AGAIN! DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE!!!

I’ve been going to Gallo Automotive for years now. I love that they are family owned. I’ve always received great service from them and have had none of the problems other reviewers have faced. Im always greeted with a smile when I arrive and they always take good care of me.
Alfredo let me know when the Living Social deals came out and I purchased one. I’ve now used all three of my oil changes without problems and my deal came with a free filter which I received too. When I got the filter with the first oil change I did have to wait a little bit because they didn’t have it in stock but it wasn’t a huge inconvenience.

Fortunately I was able to redeem my living social deal before it got crazy like the reviewer below me said. I got ripped off at another place recently so I wanted to give this place a shot. This place is pretty unprofessional on three major counts:
1. There was only one guy working when I arrived and after 5 minutes of not being acknowledged, I finally had to go up to him and tell him I had an appointment.
2. They forgot to reset my oil percentage meter. It still said 60% when I checked it after the oil change. I went to go have lunch and for all I know, they could have just changed the sticker on my window.
3. A mechanic (very short young guy) asked if my car was a year 2001 or a 2010. WTF WTF WTF you’re a freaking mechanic that freaking deals with cars all the freaking time! You’re supposed to know what year my car is, or at least be able to know that it’s not 10 years old!
