I’m sad today, as Karol retired.
She and this library, doors down from my mom’s house gave this latch key kid my first pc experience, a/​c in the summer, and a love of books that still lasts. when they went native with the garden, my mom would sneak in native water saving plants that are still there. when i graduated college i came back and asked what they needed… money? Karol said books!
this library lets kids come in and be kids. kids that in this area could be selling drugs are being a nuisance get a chance to get some reading and homework help!
