Black O’dowd and Associates DBA BOA Architecture was founded in 1961. Our current work encompasses new construction as well as rehabilitation projects, including institutional, municipal, commercial and residential. We have extensive experience in the areas of building retrofit/​repair, historic preservation, and accessibility primarily on behalf of the public sector clients, including municipalities, State and Federal agencies. With over four decades of continuous practice, the firm’s professional staff of architects, planners, and design specialists has designed and master planned over 600 projects for over 40 municipalities, public agencies, and residents alike.

The company’s corporate office and principal is Edward Lok Ng, a licensed Architect int eh state of California. BOA has beenin continous business since 1961.

Business Owner

Edward Lok Ng, Principal and Project Architect of BOA Architecture, has been a member of BOA since 1982. Mr. Ng has over 36 years of experience in all phases of the design process. he has personally designed and managed over 500 municipal facility projects. He leads a talented team of designers and consultants to ensure that design solutions effectively meet and exceeds the clients and users needs while adhering to schedules and budges constraints. His experience, commitment, and dedication has led to numerous honors and commendations for BOA Architecture.
