Bellflower Smog 3

Let’s face it: smog stations are not intended to be glamorous (yeah, I saw a cockroach and have a pic to prove it, but what can you do?) I went here recently to get my 2009 Jetta TDI tested (I know; don’t get me started!) and 15 minutes later was on my way! It was 50.00 and easy as pie! The place is right in the flight path so bring some tunes and headphones if the noise is an issue for you!

Kinda expensive for a smog but I was able to check in with Unilocal to get a $ 10 dollar discount which came out to $ 60 total. The older gentlemen was nice enough to take care of me and don’t waste your time on the young kid cos he doesn’t know jack SH#%!!! Overall their smog station was easy and parking wasn’t bad at all. Shop around.

Quick and easy, relatively inexpensive smog check. Been coming here for years. In and out in about 30 minutes.

The technician erroneously failed me thinking I had an illegally modified exhaust but I did not. Although the emissions test passed, the stubborn technician still failed me. I immediately took my car to some other spot and passed. Don’t waste your time here if you have a custom exhaust system. The tech was nice but I think it was a misunderstanding and there may have been a language barrier.

I have been here a couple of times, but I just recently went in to get my Jeep smogged for it’s first time. It was relatively quick & painless, the staff was courteous & professional. My original bill was $ 70, but then since I checked in on Unilocal they had a $ 10 discount which I was able to utilize (Woo Woo).
They definitely get the job done here, and in a jiffy.

I’ve had my two cars smoged here for years. But ownership changed and it’s awful now. I was kept waiting for service awhile; although there were two guys behind the counter and just one other person in front of me. When I was finally «helped,» the guy told me their machine for testing older cars was not available. I left and found a place that did it in 20 minutes! Bellflower Smog #3 is awful and I do not recommend.

Got my car smogged here a long time ago. They did it in a quick timely manner. The shop had a couch I was comfy: D and the price was cheap.

These guys are great. I always come here for my Test Only Smog Checks. They’re quick, professional and located in a convenient spot. AND they have the cleanest and most pleasant restroom I’ve ever seen in an automobile-​related business. In fact, it’s nicer than some restaurant restrooms. They also sometimes offer a Unilocal Discount if you check-​in.

I took my truck in to have a smog check and it failed. No problem. I’ve been going to this place for the last 6 years and customer service gas been great… until you meet Ryan. they’re smog tech. guess it was too early for him that day… he was out if it and didn’t give me any other info after I failed… other than a re test… some good info would have been to let me know that after I had my smog related issue fixed, that I was supposed to drive it 200 miles to let the computer reset itself. good job Ryan… stay home next time… Vincent was way more helpful even though he seemed irritated to work there too. and yes we all know that you are not responsible for any failed vehicle. But you do have a responsibility for good customer service. in that you Failed… George P, it would be in your best interest to train your employees the proper way to keep a customer.

I was looking to get my smog check done somewhere quick and easy. The friendly staff over at bellflower smog 3 assured me that since my car was made after 2000 that it was a no pass no pay situation, uiwever if it was older I would receive 50% the next smog check if it fails.
There were a few cars ahead mine, but with two workers doing checks I didn’t wait over 15 minutes. I definitely recommend getting your smog check done there.

I went here on 7÷3÷2015. The staff was friendly & attentive. As soon as you arrive you need to fill out a short form providing miles & vin #. I waited approx 15−20max & I was out the door. Fast service! In & out!

I brought my 1979 MG Midget in for smog. These old cars are tough because of how strict the state is about them (even though they’re over 30 years old).
Anyways, he knew it wouldn’t pass just by the sound and looks of some of the emissions components. I appreciated that, since he didn’t charge me anything and he had gone through about 40% of the process all ready.
I’ll be back when the smog is due on my 2015 Golf TDI.
As for my MG, it needs quite a bit of work to pass California tests… That’s a whole ‘nother story.

Bad customer service. They could care less.
I happened to pull into the bellflower smog parking lot behind another car. The smog center was empty. There was no other cars being checked and only one employee in sight. The smog employee waved the car in front of me directly up to the smog check station and the customer handed his paperwork directly to him. So i pulled up in back of that car to be next in. I waited about twenty minutes idle in my car with the windows down and paperwork in hand. Even reversed back when the employee reversed the finished car out instead of driving forward to exit on the other side.
The customer and the worker walked over to the desk together and i moved my car up to the cusp of the smog check station threshold and got out to wait for the attendant to finish. As i was standing there a couple pulled up and got out and was greeted by another guy who came out of nowhere. As the new guy crossed through the service station to pull their car in. I said to him that i had been the only one here waiting. he just said «I have their paperwork in hand I’m doing them first»
i walked over to the desk where the original employee who had serviced the car in front of me was straight kick back chillaxin. He was all… «well you should have come up to the desk there is another guy here.»
The employee basically ignored me as i waited instead of taking a second to advise me to go check in at the desk. A protocol that for some reason didn’t apply to the customer in front of me because they may have been buddies.
So basically my time was wasted because they didn’t care enough to apply a little customer consideration. They let me sit there in plain sight. Then just passed over me. A twenty minute process took fifty minutes of my time because of their lackadaisical attitude towards the customer. It was especially frustrating because they weren’t even busy.
Chose another smog check location. Do not patronize this place.

I had my car smog checked yesterday. Great experience. Walked in, filled out form. My car was put on the test equipment immediately. I had a brief seat in their waiting area. Next thing i knew Felipe said it was done. Super quick service. I would recommend Bellflower Smog #3 to all.
I was a little skeptical because of the previous Unilocalers experiences. But I did not have any issues what so ever.
