An absolutely pleasant experience. I am thoroughly pleased with my «NEW» Haircut and Highlights! The atmosphere was relaxing private and it’s a petit gem. Phillip the stylist that transformed my hair was Awesome I would recommend him to anyone. It’s apt. Only but they offer a variety of services plus a small boutique of hair products and jewelry. This is a local personable business to try no hustle n bustle here they give you their full attention. Cheers

AQUA BELLA IS THE BEST! Sally has been doing my hair since I was born and she is be far THE BEST. Literally, she gave me my first hair cut. She does my moms hair, my grandma’s hair, my great-grandma’s hair… We all love her like family. She does an amazing job every single time and the salon itself is beautiful. I will go to Sally forever.

Heather was amazing! She took more time with me than any other stylist as she wanted to make sure she understand exactly what I wanted. I live on the peninsula so this was perfect! I have gone to Hollywood stylists who charge $ 125 for a cut and I am thrilled that I finally found someone who is talented, I can trust and will focus her full attention on details. Best highlight and cut I truly think I have ever received… not going anywhere else… thanks Heather!!!:)

I have pretty crazy, curly hair, that I am very particular about, and Heather has done an amazing job on it every time I have come in. I’m definitely a repeat customer and will continue to be. She has done trims and layers and this time I asked for a pretty drastic cut and she did it expertly. She is professional and considerate of what I was asking for, while still giving me helpful suggestions and guidance. I will continue to come back to this adorable salon and my hair wizard Heather.

I went back on Monday and Heather redid the lowlights with more foils and there was definitely a difference! In the future, I want a slight variation of the color (more red than brown), but that’s not her doing – just color choice :) Looks good! Glad I got the Amazon Local deal!

I don’t know what all the bad reviews are referring to here. I purchased a deal off of Amazon local for a cut and color from Heather and it’s great! I waited to write a review because I always feel like I need to settle into a new haircut. About a week later and it’s all good here.
I came in with a bit if a color problem (trying to grow out some black hair color without having a crazy line of demarcation) and Heather was the most knowledgeable stylist I’ve talked to about it. I have had see crazy things done to my hair in attempts to help grow it out. It always ends with me re-​coloring it black just to not look so freaky. Heather did a great job of subtly altering my color in a way that will keep my hair healthy as it grows out. The cut is good too! She layered it heavily to get as much of the black off as we could. It is not an air dry cut but she warned me it wouldn’t be. With a little styling it’s adorable! I finally feel like I’m getting my hair back where I want it. I totally recommend Heather. She did a great job. She also made sure to tell me to come back in if I didn’t like it and let her fix it, and called the next day to check in. I’ll be going back to keep my hair on track to healthy again.

I just got highlights and a trim from Heather. She was very nice and did a great job. I’m super pleased. On top of that, it was much less than I expected to spend. Nice salon, nice hairdresser.

I purchased a LivingSocial deal for a haircut and color for this place. When I called, Heather answered and said she will be taking care of me.
Getting there was not super fun as Long Beach is really not so close to me. Traffic was bad. Once I got there, I realized they don’t have parking for their salon. It’s either street parking with meters or free at the residential area.
The place is actually very clean and not the type of stylish hip type of salon that I am used to. But no problem, a nice simple place could be fine too. First, I put my handbag and jacket on a hook to the lower left side below the mirror in front of me. The hook was pretty low and luckily my jacket was short and didn’t touch the floor. Then I presented the LivingSocial voucher to Heather and she explained to me that the color included in the LivingSocial deal was only 4 ounces. Thus I should just color the roots since I still have color on the rest of my hair and the color would fade anyway. Ok, sure, not a problem and we discussed how I want it cut.
When I was waiting for my color to get done, Heather came and asked me about my personal information. There was no explanation of what that information will be used. I assume it was just for her records. Honestly, I was not too comfortable with it but I gave it to her anyway.
Then after washing the color off, it was time for the cut. She asked me every step how I wanted it. It’s not a bad thing but I do appreciate stylist to recommend something that is suitable for me instead of keep asking me what I want. But that’s just me.
Here is where the two stars came in. As she finished off the cut, she took the cape off to clean out the hair on it. The problem was once she shook everything off in front of me, all the hair went to my jacket and stuck to it. OMG! I was pissed! I told her immediately and she couldn’t hear me because the salon was noisy as hell and she started blow-​drying. All the four stations next to us were stylists talking to their clients loudly. Actually I didn’t realize how noisy this place was until now. Ok, I decided to tell her at the end since there is not much she was going to do about it as she is already drying my hair.
I expressed my dissatisfaction at the end of the service and Heather got me a lint roller. It doesn’t seem to bother her at all and didn’t apologize. Needless to say, I left unhappy.
After I got home, I looked at my hair and it was really not a good cut. The layer was done really choppy. I would not advise anybody to go there.

This is such a great salon! Sally Spaid is phenomenal, so very dependable & sweet. Charming little shop up on the 2^nd floor, with lots of sunshine & you can watch people along 2^nd Street. Fun place & very professional.

I recently got the Yuko Japanese Straightening procedure from Heather. I am so happy! My hair is stick straight and it will be until it grows out! Heather is very attentive by asking what I wanted. She takes time to do a thorough consultation before doing anything, which is very important to me!
She is definitely an expert at straightening because she has also done the Brazilian Blowout on my frizzy-​curly hair.
Her shampoos are heavenly, the salon has a nice vibe and I look forward to going back to Heather.

My bf found this deal on Living Social and I’m really glad he did because I finally found someone who knows how to deal with my long semi-​curly, semi-​thick mane! Heather was awesome! She was so attentive and responsive. I loved my haircut and highlights!!! I got exactly what I wanted for a really good price. The salon was really cute and in a nice area. I’m definitely going back!

I made my first visit after purchasing deal from Living Social 10 weeks ago. I went back last week my sister tag along she loves haircut and color of my hair. She complimented Heather and I love color my hair wavy and layers go great. RED my favorite And I will continue to visit salon Heather very friendly and takes time to explain does not rust in or out.

So this a pretty small and cool salon in long beach ‚(On the second level) My friend and i found a deal on living soical for hair cut and full hair color just for 60 buck! Ask for heather! she has done a great job on our hair cut and color. We like it but not love it. anyway, it a pretty great service for a 60 buck ! Hair color llooook great, hair cut look simple. She cut how much we wanted! she ‘s not like any other hair dresser who like to cut all ya hair, if you tell her you wan just 1inch to be cut! YOU GOT 1 inch! so we like her, Further more, she is nice and not so talkative like the others. As that day we were realy tired and all we wanted is our hair done and not talk so much, but she did talk alittle tho, such is kinda okay too. We will definitely go again!!!

I just got my hair cut and colored by Heather after purchasing a deal on Living Social last week. First off, she was super friendly and took the time to explain what had happened to my hair (it was in bad shape!) and what she thought would be the best cut for my face shape and hair thickness. I SO appreciated that she took the time to communicate her ideas and thoughts — it’s so rare to find these days — and it put me at ease. She went to work and was really nice and easy to talk to… when Heather was done I couldn’t believe the results. I haven’t had this nice a haircut in a LONG time. I was so happy (and relieved) to find a hairstylist who finally knows not only how to cut and style hair, but does so without busting the bank! She explained every step to me and gave me suggestions on how to style my hair… she also said I could use the same price for the deal I bought on future haircuts. I am SO happy right now. I have gone to many hairstylists in LA and few bother to spend the time to think about or explain what would look the best on you. She has really reasonable rates and is really friendly, courteous and lovely as a person. Also, the salon is nestled in beautiful Belmont Shore, which is SUPER fun. I live in West LA, but have a lot of friends who live in LB so have been enjoying every minute of this neighborhood which is chalkfull of cute boutiques, coffee shops and Powell’s candy shop (where I got some YUMMY gelato before my appointment). I HIGHLY recommend this salon and in case you were wondering, HEATHER IS THE BEST! Thanks so much for making me a happy LA hair girl!

I am a frequent customer w. Anastasia. Anastasia is a great stylist. She always gives me a cut that I want, and her suggestions a are really good about changing my style. Anastasia is the best stylist
She colored my hair and matched it to the hair extensions that she put it. She finished everything in under 2 hours. She did an amazing job with a cheery outlook and passion for her profession. The salon is clean, cozy, and most importantly professional. I have been coming to Anastasia for trims, cuts, highlights and up do’s for years. She really is an incredible stylist. She is a perfectionist and knows what she is doing she will not mess up your hair. I will never go to any other stylist.
