** Update 12.3.07 — Dr. Rosetti has left Harriman Jones and moved out of state. She hand-​picked a replacement, but we haven’t had an occasion to see her yet. I’ll try to post a link when we’ve been in.

Dr. Rosetti is a pediatrician, but that wasn’t a choice — family practice was as close as I could get.
I’ve been taking both of my kids to her for 2 years now, ever since I got fed up with my older son’s group of pediatricians in Los Alamitos.
Rosetti gets 5 stars for her care, follow up and general knowledge, but I take one star off for her office staff, which is actually something I’m going to address when I see her today.
Several times I’ve had non– and miscommunication issues with them, most recently last week. The woman in her front office didn’t tell me that I’d have to have a TB skin test read 2 days after it was given, which put us on a Saturday (test Thursday, reading Saturday.) Well, we had plans Saturday, and I was also under deadline to get the paperwork into his preschool.

Rosetti’s part of the Harriman Jones Medical Group (which was recently bought by Healthcare Partners,) and the building’s suffering a bit. There are big signs that they’re doing their best to refurbish the place, but I haven’t seen any vast improvements other than the addition of computers to the exam rooms for charting. If you’re looking for that upscale, state-​of-​the-​art thing, it’s not going to be found at Harriman Jones.
But then again, what’s more important? Expensive décor or good health care?
Regardless, in the sea of mediocrity in pediatric care, Rosetti is fresh and knowledgeable, and if you can put up with the less than mediocre front office staff, then I’d say go for it. She’s worth wading through it.
She has privileges at Long Beach Memorial if you’re having a baby there and need someone to come in and see it.
