After I injured my shoulder at work, they got rid of the Case Manager Nurse who violated my HIPAA rights; helped me change doctors for the best surgeon; then settled my case for an amount that is reasonable, but more than I thought I would get. Everyone in the office is professional and knows their job. I’m so glad that I didn’t have to figure out this Worker’s Comp maze on my own. They know what to do and had my best interests at heart. I would personally recommend the Law Offices of Ainbinder and Pratt to ALL my family and friends. I had initially hired an attorney that never returned my calls, I had no idea what was going with my worker’s compensation claim. I had no money coming in and was in a lot of pain. Luckily a friend referred me to Ms. Pratt the staff was always helpful if my assigned assistant was not available. I could have not made a better choice. I’m very happy with my results. Last year I was injured on the job and truthful had no clue what to do or how I was going to do it. After searching around, I chose Ainbinder & Pratt to represent me for my case. Given my age, I have no clue how Workman’s Comp works nor did I ever think I would be placed in a position where I would be injured enough to need it. It was a scary experience but now that it is all said and done, I am so thankful I chose Ainbinder & Pratt for my case.
The staff is very friendly and prompt. They explained the whole process to me step by step and my case also settled approximately to when they said it would. Malia was very informative whenever I called. I had so many questions and she had an answer for all of them. They made sure I was seeing the right doctors to receive the help Workman’s Comp was denying me and basically lifted all the burden off my back so all I had to worry about was my recovery.

Last year, I encountered a personal injury and chose Ainbinder & Pratt Law to represent my case. I chose their office due to the close proximity to my home, but stayed with them because the initial contact when I first called, put my mind at ease.
I spoke with Malia on the phone and she was very pleasant and professional. Despite the many questions I asked, she answered what questions she could… and I never felt like she was trying to get me off the phone. She was patient and understanding and advised me to come in for a consultation with Ms. Pratt so that she would be able to better answer any questions that Malia could not. I set an appointment and went in.
During my office visit, the application process was easy and meeting with Ms. Pratt solidified the fact that I made the right decision in choosing them to handle my case. Ms. Pratt heard my story, and gave me her professional opinion on how we should proceed. She was extremely knowledgeable, and thoroughly explained what the process of pursuing a Personal Injury case would entail.
In the following months after, their continued hardwork on my case proved just how above and beyond they go for their clients. Despite Ms. Pratt being the main attorney to handle my case, I was able to speak with other attorneys like Mr. Ainbinder and Mr. Josh Harrer, whenever Ms. Pratt was unavailable or out of the office. My dad suffered a work related injury and we didn’t know what to do. In the beginning the insurance was very helpful and provided us with all the information we needed sent my dad to a doctor, but when the doctor requested his surgery we never heard back from them so the doctor released my dad back to work. My dad retained an attorney in Santa Ana but they never returned our calls and always gave us the run around. A co-​worker told me about Ainbinder & Pratt so we decided to call them and they scheduled us the same day. When we got there the staff was really nice and welcoming, we met with attorney Josh who took the time to go over my dad’s case and explained to us how workers compensation works and what to expect from their office. That same week my dad received a call from Carol who called to introduced her self and gave us her contact information in case we had questions. I was relief that she spoked Spanish because my dad doesn’t speak English and he wanted to be able to call and get information about his case. Carol was always nice and very helpful with any questions that we had. My dad was happy with the settlement and the medical treatment, he was also able to stay with the company so everything worked out perfectly. I can’t thank them enough!

like my tip says don’t go to this place don’t waste your time I’m glad we only saw 3 months of lack of communication unprofessionalism and outright lies. in the beginning we requested a different doctor to see. again two weeks ago. the doctor wasn’t reading the surgeon reports the doctor wrote his own reports causing the utilization review to refused and to deny surgery. explanation that I received from Cindy, 99% of utilization review are denied. we told them numerous times that the doctor was not filling out the paperwork properly. every time when we receive paperwork from REHAB WEST. and we started asking questions we were told that we were not supposed to be receiving that paperwork and to mail it to them immediately. if it wasn’t for our own investigation and seeking other legal advice we would have never have known that there was a settlement court date already planned before the surgery date had even been accepted/​denied. when the representing attorney Josh set up a deposition with my employer when we showed up Josh was nowhere to be seen and another attorney we never met had been put in his place. it just burns me up that every complaint concerned that we had Mike Ainbender defended his staff. one of the times Colleen Mike’s other attorney she said she would be right back and in 20 minutes we hung up and called back only to find out that she went to lunch. everytime we ask Cindy to call us back she would call us around 4:30 p.m. turn off at 5:10.reason why we know this is because she called us on our cell phone to let us know that the phones go down at that time and she would call us the next business day. usually would take her till 430 in the afternoon to call us again. but at this point we were pretty much done. even on one day when their phone went completely down for the day they were unable to communicate set up appointments or talk to their clients. it’s almost as if they worked at McDonalds and didn’t know how to work the register if the power went out. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND DISAPPOINTMENT. RUN AWAY!

Michael Ainbinder is above board, honest and will get the job done! If you are a low-​life just trying to milk the system for a settlement, A&P is not the law firm for you. They are ethical, thorough and settled my case within 6 months, AFTER I had been with another law firm for over 2 years!

I have read the other reviewers and understand their frustrations but I am reviewing Ainbinder and Pratt AFTER having 2 other attorney’s handle my Work comp case. The review is for 5 stars because it is as good as it gets. It isn’t perfect and there are a lot of issues but now that I have way more experience than I ever wanted and a lot of research and insight into the very messed up broken system that we call Work Comp, I can tell you in all honesty that almost all of the problems I encountered from AnP were related to the way the system works and the insurance causing issues and not them specifically. When I did have a complaint it was addressed and handled. Phone calls were returned and the partners themselves would handle it. I requested specifically that Colleen Pratt show up for my trial even though a junior named Josh had done a good job at my hearing because I wanted the experience she had and I trusted her after several interactions. She did show up and did a great job!
I started this nightmare with no knowledge of the WC system at all and just found the first atty that came up on the internet because the insurance company told me I needed one. I wasn’t suing and just wanted to get back to work but they said the prolonged injury meant paperwork that would be too complicated without legal guidance. So I got the first one and they were beyond horrible. I won’t go into great detail because I am not reviewing them here. I had them for 1 year and things got worse. I finally had enough and found another smaller attorney in the hopes that they would at least answer the phone. They were nicer and seemed more honest but still didn’t get much movement. I finally changed them after I tried to call every day for a week crying because I was receiving no money or treatment and couldn’t work. I was desperate as I could not pay my rent. I broke down on the phone and they were just callous and I never received a return call from the atty himself. I figured if he didn’t care about me then I didn’t care about him and I looked for another one. This time I had way more knowledge and did lots of research and found AnP. I called and got put on the phone with Ainbinder right away. He made an appt himself to see me the next day. He spent 30 minutes with me. He took my files and was brutally honest which I like. I signed on with them and in just a few weeks starting receiving treatment and weekly payments again. I have been with them less than a year and Colleen Pratt just settled my case and pissed off the insurance because they didn’t want to pay so much. I can now have my life back and move forward to deal with my injury etc. myself thanks to AnP. If only I had gone with them first then I wouldn’t be so bad off. Lesson learned
For those unfortunate souls who have a work comp situation, keep in mind, it is the government and the way people have voted that have created this disaster and the attorneys have to navigate that. It isn’t always their fault. If you do have to deal then go with AnP and trust what they tell you to do. None of it moves quickly but they at least try to help you.

Ainbinder & Pratt was a real disappointment, in the beginning I thought I hit the jackpot but boy I was wrong
1 year of representation and all they did was nothing — oh I’m sorry they did file my workers comp claim — so I stand corrected

I wasted a year of my life for NOTHING waiting for at least something
