I have been going to Rita for a long time for facials and microdermabrasion. She’s super sweet, honest and beautiful. She’s amazing at what she does and being in her presence is heart-​filling. I love that you can ask her to create a customer plan based on your skins needs and your budget– she will put options out there for you.
I had 6 microdermabrasion treatments last year (once a week for 6 weeks) and my skin has never looked better or been more glowy! I got so many compliments and I could see my fine lines getting smaller! I’m doing another 6 in a row this fall and can’t wait to see even more benefit. Only point I would make is leave your self extra time to get there and park, since it is off Redondo (very busy street) and a more residential area, you may have to street park!

I’ve been to Rita off and on for the last 2 years and I absolutely love her. Not only is she one of the biggest sweethearts you’ve ever met but she knows her stuff and knows what she’s doing. Her skincare line is amazing and I can honestly say that I’ve tried too many expensive lines (ie. Lancome, Clinique etc.) and remained unhappy. Rita has helped to reverse the problems I’ve been having with my skin for quite sometime.
Rita has genuine concern for her clients overall health and skincare health. She’s always checking in to see that you’re well and that your stress levels are low because she understands the effects that everyday stresses have on our bodies and skin. Rita has created her own line of products. By using them regularly for the last 17 months and seeing Rita once a month, my pores have shrunk in size, my skin texture has improved, and my skin has never looked so great!
(One drawback to this great service is that I wake myself up snoring when she’s working on me.)
She also sculpts my brows and takes care of all the necessary waxing that keeps me looking feminine instead of – ahem — like a Muppet, let’s say.
Bear in mind that About Face by Rita is no longer located inside Chill Salon & Gallery. Thanks to Belmont Shore Natural Care (i.e., one those pot dispensaries that got run out of town when the City of Long Beach decided to make them illegal), everyone got kicked out of the building they were renting — the Pilates studio, the hair salon, the estheticians, etc. Now Rita’s located around Colorado Avenue & Redondo Avenue inside Soul Spa and Chiropractic on 341 N Redondo Ave. Just in case you were wondering where she went!
