562 Electrician

Brian just came to my home to replace an outdoor timer. He was here on schedule and did a great job made sure everything was secure and working. I will be calling him again for any electrical work needed.

I highly recommend Brian for all of your electrical needs. I hired him to come out to install recessed lights in my kitchen. After inspecting my current lights, he determined that it would be an extensive job, that would end up costing more than I was willing to spend. Before making any decision, he phoned me (I was at work) to assure that I agreed. We came up with a solution together that worked with my budget. He also did a few other items that I requested last minute, such as installing an outlet and repairing an outlet. He was professional, clean and his prices were extremely reasonable. I will absolutely hire him again.

He was able to come to my house the same day.
He quickly found the cause of my lack of electricity in my laundry room. (bad outlet).
He fixed it AND reconnected my dryer hose, that had fallen off prior to his visit.
As a single woman homeowner that made my day and was going way beyond what was expected.
Oh and the cost was very reasonable too!

I’ve read the reviews describing Brian‘s services and how he will problems solve/​trouble shoot before comes over. They are 100% accurate. Brian could have easily make a few bucks from me, but instead gave me the quick fix over the phone. One simple flip of the switch and everything was on again. I called 562 Electrician last Friday and spoke to Brian. I had a fan not working and also had some work needed a bid on. Brian had great communication, showing up when we had arranged. He quickly located and fixed the problem with the fan, explaining the issue along the way.

Brian did such an excellent job I would hire him back in a second. He was on time and did a wonderful job I would recommend him for any electrical work. Thank you very much Brian!

UPDATE: Brian at 562 Electrical made it out again to our home for what I assumed was merely a problem that in our ignorance of electrical work, we thought was just «one of those things we’re gonna have to live with». You see, our house was built in the Late Forties, so you can imagine how antiquated and tired our electrical layout is! Since then, dozens of ill-​advised and even illegal (!) modifications (screw ups) were done ranging from our garage back in the Late Fifties to our pool in ’04.
Brian detected them ALL! By applying a combination of skill, deductive reasoning and reverse engineering, Brian profiled a «pathology” – a pattern of incompetence and ineptitude on the part of all of the clowns who worked to foul everything up. I swear, this guy is the «Electrical Whisperer»! Man, once he got going, he was like Sherlock Holmes going after Moriarty. .. and prevailing. The more oddball setups he found in our electrical work, the more questions he had, but they were logical and probing questions that a true professional would ask and his patience, dogged determination and winning and professional attitude won the day.
My computer, modem and router are back! My t.v.‘s back as well as my stereo and my garage light – not to mention our washer and dryer. Brian even replaced our cracked and rickety GFCI unit no time. As was the case last time, he was organized, politely inquisitive, intrepid and very focused. Very friendly, as well.
Finally, Brian had a good in depth discussion with me about a possible long term strategy for our aging electrical system. In basic, sober, realistic and «enlightening» terms (pun intended), he mapped out for me a possible direction we might consider taking later on down the line. All in all, his visit, was insightful, reassuring and above all, very productive.
I’ve said it before in my first review and I’m saying it again: Brian at 562 Electrical is our electrician. Period. Make him yours as well. You will NOT regret it! «Thanks, man!» :-)

Brian was very helpful and helped explain code violations to me and the possible problems keeping the electrical running in its current manner. It would have saved me a lot of time and money if I called Brian first.

I wrote a review before — don’t see it here now. The first time I called Brian, I wanted a new ceiling fan installed. The one I had to be installed was way too small for the living room — so there I am with an electrician and no fan. I said I could go buy one, he said he would wait. I thought for a moment, then asked «Are you a thief?» (I was going to leave him alone in my house while I went and bought the fan.) He said «no,» so I said «OK, don’t let the cats out» and left. When I returned, he had taken down the old fan and was waiting for me on the front porch! Nothing stolen and he didn’t let the cats out! Last time I had him replace plugs for me — again, on time, did his job and I do not feel over charged! What a relief! I have other small jobs for him when I can afford it — it has nothing to do with his pricing, just my income! He’s great!

Based on these Unilocal reviews, I called Brian. He was pleasant and accommodating. I needed a hard-​wired conduit electrical plug changed to a standard three-​prong wall plug so a new range vent hood could be installed. The vent installer estimated the change in the electrical connection would cost $ 150-​$ 200. Brian did the job professionally and with minimum fuss. The total bill was $ 66.00.

I had a breaker issue I couldnt figure out. Food spoiling, half the power working, half not. I didn’t know an electrician and called this company based on the couple reviews I saw. I was still a bit skeptical, I didn’t know the people who wrote the reviews.
Well five stars really isnt enough! Brian first tried to walk me through the issue to avoid a service call. Then he showed up prompt, professional, and resolved my issue with a VERY reasonable cost. He even went with me to Ace to get the right/​rare breaker I needed to replace.
It’s so nice to have this problem behind me. Plus to have someone to wasnt creepy or trying to work up some bigger problem than it was!
I live in Long Beach now and I definitely have an excellent electrician to recommend!

Brian just left my house, and I’ll be calling him for any future problems.
I had a small job: a ceiling light stopped working. I called around 11 AM, and though Brian was on another job, he thought he could be at my house in the Wrigley area by about 1. He called at 12:45 to say he was on his way. And by 1:25, he had fixed the light and was gone.
His business card says he’s «Affordable and Professional,» and he is certainly both. A great price, and he was very personable and no nonsense, not trying to sell me on any other work. A good guy – a skilled electrician who’s ethical and friendly.
Why did I wait so long to get that light fixed?
