The Marq at Ridgegate

My boyfriend and I moved into this community only a month ago. We had only been here roughly 2 weeks when we received notice of break-​ins at the complex. Break-​ins happen, especially in more affluent areas such as Lone Tree. They’ve also been working closely with the Lone Tree Police Department to investigate the break-​ins, as well as ensure residents are taking all precautions until the perpetrator is caught.
We feel as though CWS and the local staff handled the break-​ins appropriately, and with urgency. We appreciate the care taken when discussing the issue with residents, as well as the extra precautions taken (private security doing rounds, checking doors, locks, etc.). They have continued to update the residents with any news they receive from the LT police department.
My boyfriend attended an all-​resident meeting, and was taken aback at the way the Marq residents treated the CWS staff. From my understanding, it ended up being more of a circus than anything else. While we understand the frustrations that some residents may experience, the way that they went about expressing those frustrations was nothing short of ridiculous, and quite frankly out-​of-​line.
If our community had broken locks, a negligent staff, etc., I could see the justification in the feelings presented at the meeting, however, at Marq, that is not something that we, as residents, have experienced.
Our experience has been a wonderful one. Our maintenance issues have always been addressed immediately. Taylor took our concerns seriously, and made sure they were taken care of. The previous maintenance manager was nothing but professional, and courteous. He also happens to be my neighbor. The fact that he had to be moved to another property because of resident harassment is appalling, and I’m embarrassed for those members of this community.
When we added a pet to our lease, Najda seemed genuinely happy for us adding a new member to our family and was extremely helpful.
When we wanted to add an additional parking space to our lease, Mandie was able to not only get us our additional spot on our floor, but was able to get us parking spots right next to each other (which with 2 children, makes trading cars much easier).
The building is clean — I have more than once seen professional carpet cleaners not only shampooing what I’m sure are empty units, but the main hallways as well. While there are stains, etc. in places on the carpet, with well over a few hundred residents, it’s understandable. People are gross, they spill things, it happens.
We just wanted to extend our sincerest gratitude to the CWS staff here at Marq. You guys have been wonderful helping us to get settled into our new place, and we absolutely love it here. Thank you for continuing to be so wonderful, even after we signed our lease ;). Some places are great until you sign the paperwork, then your treatment as a resident is far different. Our treatment by the CWS team has always been great.

I got my Rolex watch, wedding ring, and diamond necklace stolen today on May 25^th between 12:40pm and 5pm at unit 6246. I locked my door when I left. I heard that my neighbors got robbed months ago but I didn’t think that it will actually happen to me… I am extremely scared to live here. Please do not ignore this warning this will happen to you. I don’t feel secure here at Marq ridgegate. I can’t live here anymore… Please let me OUT!

The majority of the previous reviews are not accurate. This is a great place to call home. The new management has turned this complex around. They are very friendly and will address any concern or question you have immediately. The maintenance staff is quick to response to any requests. As for the building it is clean and secure. All of this is thanks to the new management! This is a great place to call home.

We have lived here for 2 ½ years. We moved from a very large home in TX to the apartment until we decided where we wanted to buy. Contrary to some of the very negative reviews, I have had a relatively good experience here. I have found the staff to be helpful and nice. Any issues with maintenance have been resolved quickly. While I agree that I can hear my neighbors walking on my head (I’m on the second floor), it is a building after all and with many people living here. Overall this has been a great place for us and our kids.

I moved into the Marq at Ridgegate three and a half years ago, and I still get excited to come home every single day! I love everything about this place… friendly staff, secure premises, quick response to any maintenance needs, clean, new, fresh. I feel like I am living at a resort!

Do not live here! I have lived here once before when Fein owned and operated the property and decided to return knowing that I had a relatively good experience here, shortly after I moved in this time a new management took over and they are horrible! No concern for long term residents thought this would be a nice place to live considering I travel frequently but obviously they prey on that, leaving notices on my door giving me 3 days to turn things in that I had supplied on move in OR else they charge you ridiculous fees. The garage doors are almost never working, thus safety you pay for is questionable. They took out the nice cappuccino machines and put in kuerigs that are always empty, the fire alarms… Oh my god they went off at least 4 times in my first 4 months of my lease forcing me to scramble to get my kids out in the middle of the night. At the end of the day when I pay you as much I as I do to live here I expect respect, sadly the management here can’t return a phone call so don’t expect any service. I will be terminating my lease asap seems that they prefer to have occupancy here than acknowledge their mistakes.

I have lived at this property for almost 3 years and every time my lease comes up I don’t think twice about renewing. The staff is great! Jackie and the girls in the front are always super helpful with anything I need! The few times I’ve needed something done in my unit, maintenance is quick to fix anything. I have no complaints! I have really enjoyed the property and all the amenities… the location close to The Bluffs, shopping, and dining are all a plus as well! You won’t go wrong living here! :)

Casey T’s review hits it right on the nail of what this place is like, I myself have lived here for just under two years now. This place is like a trap they lure you in with the pristine leasing office that looks luxurious, that’s the first thing you see when you arrive (impressions are everything) anyways. Everything looks nice and seems like a great place right? …Wrong these are the worst and most expensive apartments I have ever lived in on the outside everything looks luxurious but on the inside everything is cheap and thin, I can hear everything my neighbors are doing (going to the bathroom, talking, etc) everyone owns a dog and you can tell. The hallways smell of urine, I HAVE FOUND POOP ON THE STAIRS MORE THAN 5 TIMES!!! So embarrassing. The management had changed twice since living here and the staff seems to change weekly. Anyways I could go on for ever. Oh and watch out for the fake 5 star reviews Unilocal keeps deleting them but they keep putting them on here.

I love living at The Marq at Ridgegate! My apartment is beautiful, efficient, homey, and quiet. When I put in a service request, the maintenance team responded quickly to my issue and fixed the problem right away. The office staff is always polite and welcoming. I’m so glad I moved here!!!

We moved into the Marq in January. When we took our tour, it seemed really nice, and the staff seemed helpful. We didn’t realize how terrible this place really is…
The Parking Garage is a nightmare, we were promised two spots, and only received one. I thought that parking on the street would be alright, but someone hit my car on the street. In the garage people fly around the corners, then give dirty looks after almost hitting you. The residents in general are extremely rude. The hallways and stairs are filthy. We found dog poop on the stairs, and it didn’t get cleaned up until over a week later. The stairs all smell like dog urine and dog poop, and the carpets in the hall are stained. Most of the doors in our apartment don’t close properly. The staff always seems to be busy, and very unhelpful. You can always hear dogs barking, and people walking around at all hours of the day and night.
One of the main reasons we liked this apartment complex the most was for the security, but the outside doors don’t close all the way, and the garage door is open most of the time.
After our lease is up, we will definitely be moving out. I don’t recommend moving into the Marq at Ridgegate.
