Pisco Sour Restaurant & Lounge – Park Meadows

I love the pollo a la brasa! It is amazing! The chicken is full of flavour all the way through. I would highly recommend it.

I’m from Peru and this is the best Peruvian restaurant there is in Colorado. I love their Ceviche and the Tiradito de Camarones al Mojoto de Ajo. I usually order that when I go, but dishes such as Anticuchos and Tamales are delicious too! My parents enjoy the Happy hour and all the different Pisco Sour flavor drinks they serve. They are yummie and super fruity.
The price is very reasonable… actually it is on the cheap side comparing with restaurants in Miami. If you haven’t tried Peruvian food yet. you are missing out! Go here, you won’t be disappointed!

Food was amazing. We visited for the first time with Co-​workers so dined family style amongst eight of us. Ceviche Mixto was our favorite app, entrée-​Camarones A la Diabla and the Empanada de Platano for desert. It all was fabulous though. Great service too! We will be back!

This is a must try restaurant is one of the best in the city. We had the Mar y Tierra and it was out of this world!

Stumbled onto Pisco Sour at Park Meadows. We attended the previous location on E. Colfax and liked the food very much. But that location closed and we’ve been looking for a Peruvian place since. Enjoyed the Tacu Tacu con Bisteca with perfectly grilled med rare flank steak on a bed of beans & rice & potatoes with a tasty crema sauce. Rich and delicious. Took ½ home for lunch the following day. We’ll be back for more as we loved the flavors of Peru on a recent trip. An independent deserving of your support.

So Peruvian food is a little different than what we might be used to here in the US. That being said, this place is excellent. I had the Marra y Tierra. I’m not sure what that translates to exactly, but it’s a nice blend of seafood, beef and veggies, with a tasty sauce. The server was very friendly and knowledgable about the food

Place is nice and clean. But service really awful my waiter was terrible. Took too long to get our order, didn’t get coffee refill I had to ask for it times. No creamer I had to ask for it also. I ordered the lomo Saltado it was really salty and meat was hard to chew. My friend ordered Pancita and it wasn’t cooked fully so disgusting ! Food not good and service awful, yup won’t be coming back here !!!

We love peruvian food and are very picky about it! The restaurant was indeed kind of dead, however i think its just because either people dont know about it or are afraid to try something new! The food is not bizzarre at all, it is amazing! We got the fried yucca apptzr which was fantastic-​tastes similar to french fries. The ceviche was perfectly made, oh so delicious! Main course was the tacu tacu beef-​WOW! So unique with the skirt steak served over mashed peruvian beans and rice which are fried into delightful patties and smothered in their signature sauce! My husband ordered a fried fish dish with a sauce, delicious as well! The happy hour has great prices-​the pisco sours were fantastic! U must try this place and gice it the support it deserves!

Very shitty service. Made me terrible tasting drink and when I asked for a different drink or to not pay the drink which I only tasted they refused. I’ve had Peruvian food before and this is the shitties one ever! I will never eat here again and don’t recommend it

I have been in Peru a dozen times. Chile almost as many. visits from a few days to several weeks. this place is near another restaurant we frequent… and it caught our eye… WOW… from the waiter staff Victor. to the owner: Renalto and family… excellent in every respect. one of the servers se dice: «lo siento, no hablo ingles». Estoy OK con este, porque es una ristorante de Peru.
La comida desde la kucina me gusto muy bueno.

Excellent, flavorful food, very good drinks, friendly service. The only problem I see is that it’s tucked out of the way and not readily visible in its location, thus light crowds. Will definitely be back if they are still open.

Honestly, the place was kinda dead when we went and our waiter was wearing a chef’s coat, so maybe he was pulling double duty – I wasn’t paying that much attention. Whether he was or not, he was very attentive and made recommendations, and made sure our drinks were full. The music was broken hearts Spanish sonatas and serenades. The air was also a little chilly, but it was a rainy day and it’s hard to escape the chill without a bit more alcohol than I had.
My Menu Choices: Pisco Sour Original, Fried Calamari and Yuca Appetizer, Ribeye topped with sauteed mushrooms and onions served with Pesto Spaghetti and Fried Yuca Entrée, Banana Pecan Empanada with Lucama Icecream Dessert.
Pisco Sour: Frothy because they make the sweet and sour with real egg whites and simple syrup. The drink comes out creamy, sweet, and the bitters balance it out well. I wanted more than one, but I was driving.
Fried Calamari and Yuca: Yuca is a starchy root from the tropics that has a texture similar to potatoes. Point here is, both the Yuca and the Calamari were on point and the batter was delish. Nice crunch, nice flavor, and a bit of corn/​onion tossed in citrus to really make it fun.
Ribeye Entrée: You could cut that ribeye with a butter knife. The pesto spaghetti stole the show though because – wow– that was good. Mmm pesto. The sauteed mushrooms and onions had a great flavor too, but a bit separate from the pesto. The yuca was the same as what was int he appetizer, and I wasn’t disappointed about that. All in all it was a very, very good dish.
The dessert: It had a long Spanish name that (four days later) I don’t remember, but I do remember it was an cinnamon empanada stuffed with banana and pecans. With it, there was an orange ice cream called lucama that has this hard to describe flavor; like fruity butterscotch? It was fantastic. Please try it. Please safe room for this dessert, so tasty.
I think you get what you pay for at this place, and I can definitely see it as a good for taking your date or a to have a nice night out in general. Don’t be intimidated by its Peruvian style, because I assure you there’s enough general Spanish flare that anyone would be comfortable going over the menu. Besides, everything on that menu has a full description of what you would get.
I would like to return here again, but it’s very far out of my way– so maybe you can enjoy the experience for me? Take your time and just settle in. There’s no rush. Have two Pisco Sours. I promise it will not disappoint.

My family is Peruvian so I have a lot of expereince with excellent Peruvian food. I came here on a Tuesday evening with very high expectations and a craving for something traditional. If you know anything about Peruvian food, it’s considered one of the best in the world, and that is not just my opinion. The restaurant was almost empty and there seemed to be only 1 waiter who refused to speak to me in Spanish while he struggled in English.
My husband and I shared the yuca con huancaina (I subbed out the papa), Tiradito de pescado and lomo saltado. The yuca tasted good but it was very breaded which definietly surprised me, when it arrived I thought they got confused and sent chicken fingers to the table on accident, I was wrong there was yuca under all that unnecessary breading. The portion was huge for an appetizer. Tiradito is one of my favorite traditional peruvian dishes. The fish was okay, heavy on the ginger and covered in more yuca, had I known it was going to be so much I wouldn’t have subbed out the papa, but our waiter didn’t think to mention it. Lastly, we had the lomo saltado, a Peruvian classic. This dish is simple so many may think it’s difficult to mess up but you’d be surprised. The flavor was spot on, it’s what saved this restaurant from a 2 star review, the only thing really lacking was sauce. I much prefer a juicier lomo, but if I were to return it would be for the lomo and to try something else.

Fantastic Peruvian food, great service, wonderful drinks. If you are looking for something unique in The Denver area, this would the place to go. We will definitely be coming back for more!

Really great and under appreciated spot. There are a ton of restaurant choices in the area, lots of chains. Pisco should be a top choice, vastly superior to the other offerings.
Generous serving sizes, very good flavors. I wish the menu included pics, it can be hard to visualize some of the complex dishes.
Had the veal heart and tripe plate, because how can you not order something so different? It was incredible. Really enjoyed it.
Ceviches have all been excellent. And fresh juices are terrific as well. Lulo, guava, passion fruit, papaya, all delicious.

Not many vegetarian options, but my non-​veggie friends were happy with this place, but the Pisco Sours were not our taste!
We had mixed feelings about the desserts, but I liked them.

I came here on a Friday night around 8pm and there was no wait. I feel like not a lot of people know about this place. but they SHOULD! hahaha. I definitely liked the food here.
Of course I had to try the lomo saltado! I did like it. but it was nothing compared to the lomo in LA. I feel like it needed to be more sour? So it lacked vinegar? Their green sauce is also nothing close to the green hot sauces I’ve tried at other Peruvian restaurants. but overall, it was pretty good, and I would definitely come back!
The drink pisco sour was pretty interesting. It tasted like tequila to me. but I guess it’s not tequila? haha. I wouldn’t mind not having this again, but I’m glad I got to try it.
I do have to mention. I was a little tipsy when I was eating here hahaha. so I definitely need to try this place out again when I’m sober.

I wanted to try something new in the area my parents live in. This place was incredible to say they least. We showed up on a saturday night and called ahead 45 minutes. Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived but the host accommodated the 6 of us to the best of his ability. The people here seemed to hang out like they do in other countries over coffee and drinks after a meal (I assume this was the reason for the additional wait time.)
Our server was very nice and did a great job (Edith was her name I think). I started off with the pisco sour drink after reading the history in the menu. The drink was very good! We ordered a little Mac and Cheese for my 2 year old nephew which came out quickly. I ordered the wings as an appetizer and I thought they were very unique. The sauce they came with was also very good. I ordered an additional green hot sauce that was also very good and I highly recommend it for everything. My mom got a sampler that had some sort of fried fish which I also thought was very good. The soups then followed. They have two which we decided split between all of us. They were very unique and also extremely flavorful.
We then had the entrees.
ANTICUCHO Y PANCITA — very good Veal Heart. Tender and have no complaints.
Mar Y Tierra– Also very good with a good presentation. The sauce had a sweet and savory flavor. I recommend it.
Dessert:
I finished with this empenada that had a lacoma (sp) ice cream which was AWESOME.
When we finished they had dancing lessons going and a live band. It was a lot of fun and we stayed for a little while. The place was packed all night and a lot of foreigners flocked in later in the night.

We booked dinner here for a friends birthday, Saturday night, there was 14 of us and when we arrived there was no table ready.
The staff quickly got a table ready and took our drink orders.
It was a very long time before she came to take our food orders and never came back to see if we wanted any more drinks. We literally had to stop her from walking by our table to get more drinks.
It was a very busy night and very heavily understaffed.
All of the food was delicious buy I would probably say that I wouldn’t be back again due to the service.
The real kicker was being forced to pay 18% gratuity because we were a large party.
For the two of us, we shared a starter, had 2 drinks and 2 meals plus the ridiculous gratuity came to over $ 90!

You never really know what kind of surprise awaits you when you venture into a new restaurant. I know my heart skipped a beat for a certain dish here.
It was a dinner before my flight home. Booths will provide you with a view of the outside if that’s your thing. Tall tables then take the rest of the inside. For us? A booth of course.
I tried their Lomo Saltado expecting tender beef. Why? Because that’s how they described it. It was onions, cilantro and tomatoes. All perfectly sautéed in their Pisco Ginger sauce. At the bottom of this lies their home fries. With a side of rice too.
So. I didn’t even touch the rice. Next time I’ll try something else. This dish didn’t rock my world. Plus the meat wasn’t tender as promised. But– the fries managed to stay dry and crunchy on the outside and well seasoned.
We shared the Anticucho Pancita. Veal heart. It was skewered and perfectly grilled with the edge all covered in that cancer inducing but oh so tasty carbon. Very savory. It was described as tripe marinated & sautéed. Do they mean triple marinated perhaps? We just wanted the heart and nothing else. You can too for $ 5 instead of $ 15.
The second best thing about this place is the romantic ambience it imparts. Low lights. Brownish reddish dark hues all over. The bar. Oh my! Don’t go there if you’re not ready to say yes to almost anything! :)
