Lujan Diana MD PC

We have been seeing Dr. Lujan for 9 years. I have 4 kids – a girl and 3 boys. Why I like going here: her office has both a well-​child and a sick-​child waiting room. I find that is nice so my well kids aren’t mixed with the sick kids. However, we are usually in a treatment room before too long anyhow.
Dr. Lujan always is able to fit us in when my kids are sick. I like that she will not make us wait when our kids are sick.
She knows my kids and their history. My kids are comfortable with her and she is very friendly with them. I feel like she gives them excellent medical care. She is extremely thorough in her examinations.
I also like that it is an «office» feel – not a «clinic» feel at Dr. Lujan’s. You aren’t shuffled around to «whichever doctor is available” – I have done that in the past, and my kids don’t like seeing a different doctor every time… they like the familiarity of Dr. Lujan. She is an excellent doctor.
While her office staff does change somewhat frequently, I have never been treated with disdain… they have always been friendly and professional.
I have been around «the block» looking for doctors, and I can say confidently that there is no better all-​around experience that what we have had with Dr. Lujan, her care, her flexibility, her kindness, her office, and her medical expertise.

We have worked with Dr. Lujan for many years, since our children were very young. She is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. There have been many instances when her medical insight has really helped improve the situation for our kids. Her office staff has always proven helpful to us, too. Dr. Lujan is an excellent, compassionate pediatrician. We highly recommend her.

I have 3 kids and my husband is a physician as well. I have lived in several states and have had many different doctors. For the past 10 years I have lived here. I switched from my old pediatrician to Dr Lujan about 5 years ago becuase I was tired of always seeing a physcan assistant instead of an MD. In the 5 years since switching to Dr Lujan I have ALWAYS seen the doctor and have NEVER had a complaint. I think she is good with the kids and quite thorough. I googled today with the intent of just finding her fax number, but after seeing all the negative reviews, I felt compelled to write a positive review.

Nightmare! Horrible experience!!! Once you leave her as a patient she will not give you your records, she won’t even give you shot records. They refuse to do anything for you once you leave. They are rude if you call. The receptionist is rude, and refuses t do her job. Completely unprofessional staff! The way the facility is run is ridiculous and barely skirts around what is even legal in the medical profession. If you go once to try her out and don’t like her I promise you will never get a copy of your child’s records from her. Very bitter doctor and staff. Before coming to this doctor my child was on the Dr. Sears program for getting shots which is one shot a month instead of a whole lot of shots less frequently; well she refused to keep my child on this program and tried to convince me to give my child 6 shots in one day!!! The doctor and the receptionist are bitter people that hate their jobs. They are miserable people completely unhelpful or polite. AWFUL experience, wish I would have never gone here! Now they are making it difficult for me to leave since they refuse to give me my records. I am contacting the proper people to report this crooked business!

I find it odd that there is a good review one day after I wrote a review. Another odd thing is that as of 6÷15÷11 the only review from this person is for Dr. Lujan. Imagine that.
Yesterday Dr. Lujan’s secretary hung up on my new doctor’s office when they called to get Dr. Lujan’s fax number. They would not give it to them. This place is totally unprofessional. They must have known we would write a bad review and created their own. Just a theory. They have a lot bad reviews if you search. If we don’t get my daughter’s medical records, we will be reporting her to the Colorado medical board. We will keep you posted.

Apparently the person who wrote the 5 star review for Dr. Lujan’s office on 6÷15÷11 decided to remove it.
We still have not been given my daughters medical records. I went by their office on June 23^rd to pay for the medical records and was told that the records keeper was out of the office and to call back on the 28^th. I called the 28^th and was told to call on the 29^th. I was then told to call on the 30^th. Today I was once again told to call tomorrow because they haven’t had the time to calculate what I owe for the records. I was told that their 30 day clock to hand over the records starts on the day that they receive payment.
On 6÷28÷11 we filed a complaint with the Colorado Medical Board and hope to hear something from them soon. If the board can’t get our records then we plan to find a medical malpractice attorney to take this to the next level. We will keep you posted.
7÷6÷11 We finally got the records after filing a complaint. with the medical board. One big problem though. Dr Lujan charged us $ 32 and the only papers sent were the one’s from the previous doctor from another state. The same records that the previous doctor gave us free of charge. I had to call to get them to send the vaccination card which they did comply with. I will probably file a complaint for her charging us for some other doctor’s records. What a nightmare. I will never use another doctor without checking Unilocal or Google first. It pays to do some research. You have been warned.

Horrible customer service! Dr lujan is very rude and heartless! Please think twice before taking your kids to her! I called her because my daughter came home from school with a strange rash. She could not see us until the next day. I had to take my daughter to the ER later that night due to her symptoms getting really bad, she was in severe pain and couldn’t walk. She was diagnosed with a rare condition. I called and left a message after hours to cancel appt with dr. Lujan. The next day I received a very rude message from dr lujan herself telling me I need to find a new dr and she will no longer see us. There is also a 50 $ charge due to it not Beeing a 24 hr notice. I couldn’t believe my ears. So I called her to explain what had happened. Her receptionist said she does not want to talk to you and will not talk to you and to go somewhere else. For me Being in the medical field I couldn’t believe how she was treating me I was a new patient and have never been there before. I called later and left another message for her to please call me so we can resolve this. She never returned my call, but she did send me a $ 50 bill. She is very heartless! I am glad my daughter did not go to her. I hope I can help anyone rethink it before going to her and being treated so poorly. Any recommendations on a good pediactric dr? I am new to the area and had a bad experience.
