We have had nothing but positive experiences at Lone Tree Vets. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. From vaccinations to knee surgery, we have been very happy with everything. Thanks Lone Tree for always taking such great care of our boys!

I wanted to like Lone Tree Veterinary. My 16 year old dog has to have monthly injections for arthritis. We provide the medicine. The very only has to administer the injection. Our vet in Atlanta charged $ 5 for this service. A vet we had been seeing since moving to Denver charged nothing at all to do this work.
Lone Tree Veterinary just charged me $ 32 for the service. That’s unacceptable. It took the tech about 3 minutes to take her back, give the injection and bring her back. I don’t think their expertise is worth $ 640 an hour.

These guys are fantastic! They are always super friendly and accommodating for anything we need.
Eric the trainer is also the best that I have been to and I highly recommend him to get your pup trained like a pro!

MOLLY’S STORY
I felt like Molly was in great hands, and I felt very comfortable with Dr. Moyle overseeing Molly’s treatment. When different situations would arise, such as Molly’s knee ligament that tore. I agreed to have 18 laser treatments on Molly’s knee. Dr. Moyle said it would help Molly. When this didn’t help, Dr. Moyle suggested surgery. Molly was 14 years old; Molly’s blood tests were very good, per Dr. Moyle. I knew that Molly would not be able to go through this very invasive surgery, and rehabilitation I said no. Dr. Moyle said that the only other treatment would be getting a brace made for Molly that runs from 1,500.00 to 3,500.00. My income is fairly limited; I was already trying to keep up with making payments. Dr. Moyle said that a John Roberts bandage on Molly’s leg would give her support, and help the ligament heal in her knee. I let him put this brace on Molly’s leg. Molly would get so frustrated with this bandage on her whole leg. I removed it twice. It was like a merry go round. Dr. Moyle would convince me again; that the bandage would help, I again would have him put the bandage on Molly. Six months ago I told Dr. Moyle that Molly was having intense head tremors, and that Molly’s head would jerk so violently, it would just stop her, and her face, and eyes would just become fixed. I told him that Molly’s personality seemed to be changing, and I felt something major was happening to her. Dr. Moyle told me that his last dog did this; they could never find anything neurologically wrong with his dog. A month ago I again told Dr. Moyle that Molly’s head tremors were getting more violent. Dr. Moyle did not seem concerned. Molly increasingly acted like she was in a lot of pain. Dr. Moyle told me to increase one of Molly’s pain medications. I did as he instructed. That afternoon Molly was shaking all over, eyes closing and rolling back. Dr. Moyle had left for the day, so Dr. Bernstein saw Molly. He told me that he thought a disc in her back was bothering her. Dr. Bernstein said laser treatments on Molly’s back would help her. I told Dr. Bernstein about Molly’s head tremors. Dr. Bernstein said to discontinue Molly’s pain medicine as it was known to cause seizures. This was on Friday afternoon. At 3:00 A.M. Saturday I took Molly to the emergency vet. Molly was panting so hard, she could not settle down. The vet administered a fenyl patch on her back to help with the pain, and another oral pain medicine. Monday I took Molly to see Dr. Moyle. He said that he would check Molly really well, and determine what was happening. I asked Dr. Moyle, could Molly be having seizures, or have a brain tumor, that was making her have the devastating head tremors. Dr. Moyle took magnifying lens and put a light to Molly’s eyes, he said when he looked at her optic nerve it looked fine, and there were no signs of a brain tumor. Dr. Moyle told me if I could record Molly’s tremors he would look at the recording. I did this immediately. Dr. Moyle said that whatever was happening to Molly did not seem severe. Two days after the emergency vet situation, Molly needed her bandage changed. The practice manager Kathy told me that I had to pay the balance of my bill before I could return for any treatment for Molly; this was direct from Dr. Moyle and his wife that is a co-​owner. I took Molly to the Rehabilitation and Wellness center in Castle Pines Colorado. When the doctor saw Molly; she said that the bandage on her leg was not helping so she removed it. She was going to get help getting Molly a brace for her leg. I also told the Dr. about Molly’s intense head tremors. She said she would address Molly’s leg, and then her head tremors. I was waiting for a return visit. July 29^th Molly awoke in the middle of the night vomiting and falling when trying to stand. I took Molly to the vet in Castle Pines. I told the vet that Molly had also been scratching her eye. The vet was going to hydrate Molly and further look into what was happening. I told the vet about Molly’s devastating face tremors. The vet took Molly to rehydrate her; she returned to the room, and said by mentioning that Molly was scratching at her eye, it made her look closer what was happening. The vet showed me Molly could not blink, which kept Molly’s eye from getting hydrated. The vet showed me Molly had no feeling on the top of her head or ears. Molly had a brain tumor. The vet said that Molly was in the last stages of her brain tumor, and that her quality of life would only deteriorate. I had to make the devastating decision to put my beautiful Molly to sleep. I knew Molly had suffered with this brain tumor. I can’t change this part of life for my dear Molly; I can only advise to insist on further testing on your pet. Stay on top of your pets vet, and insist on a sound diagnoses. Do not settle for mundane answers. I can’t even imagine what Molly experienced with her brain tumor that was left undetected. I will forever miss my beautiful Molly.

I would absolutely give Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center 10 Stars.

Our 9 year old Golden Retriever had some tumor type growths that needed to be removed. We just picked her up and she is doing great. They took a lot of extra time to explain the procedure, they took us back to see her in recovery.
When it comes to our pets we want the best care… and we found it at Lone Tree Veterinary Medical Center!
Also, they are wonderful for boarding your pets. I highly recommend them.

I was not happy with my recent experience at Lone Tree vet. I took my recently adopted dog here for an exam and vaccines. I mentioned to the vet that he was not well taken care of by his previous owners and was in pretty bad condition when we got him, sort of hoping he would do a thorough exam. I really didn’t feel like he did much. We mentioned his ears were dirty inside and he basically said nothing. Now, a few weeks later, my dog has a pretty severe ear infection that we are dealing with that I think could have been treated earlier or prevented if this vet took a closer look. We also had to pay for another exam (at a different vet) to get this taken care of. Maybe if they weren’t so busy selling Science Diet and other products to new customers they would actually take a look at your pet. I can’t stand when professionals are so concerned with product sales that they don’t do their actual job. Never going back and would definitely not recommend to anyone.

They always do so good for my kitty LaRue. Very caring and do everything they can to make her comfortable and attentive. We left for a couple years, but glad we came back. Looking forward to her spa day next week.

I definitely enjoyed my experience at this clinic. It is very far from me, however I am not hesitant to take my dog in, as I know she will receive great care. We took our pup in to get spayed and at the consultation the vet spent a lot of time answering our questions. He made sure we left with all of our questions answered and that we felt comfortable with the procedure we were about to have our pup endure. They made great recommendations for her general health. Highly recommended.

From the moment you arrive at the Lone Tree Vet you know that things are going to be different. The reception you receive when you walk in the door is warm and inviting. The atmosphere is calm. You’re treated like a friend. You receive individualized attention where your pet matters.
Don’t be surprised if your first visit takes 45 minutes to an hour. Your first appointment is utilized to discuss the medical concerns and treatment. Moreover, your veterinarian takes the time in your first session to really get to know your four legged baby. Every minor detail is covered. Even things that you may have never considered; specialized pre-​op blood tests for certain breeds to ensure that surgery and post op recovery is seamless.
Don’t be surprised if Dr. Moyle gets down on the floor face to face with your dog and wants to take a picture with him. That’s how they are!!! They are amazing! They make you feel like you and your furry family member matter! And you feel that way, because YOU DO MATTER to them. Lone Tree Vet is incredible. We are so grateful that we found them!

The people that work here were so fantastic with me and my sick dog. They made us feel so comfortable and would highly recommend them. They truly care about our fur babies and I will continue to go to them!

I can’t say enough positive things about Lone Tree Vet. We have an older dog that gets injuries and digestive issues and the staff and doctors are always so helpful. Whether it be by dropping him off for a next available time slot, weekends and evenings they are there for us. We use the boarding services and know that he is in good hands and being taken care of, especially with his medical needs. We use grooming services with Jill and he doesn’t mind going off with her, which hasn’t been something he has ever done. And another thing, the last time he went for boarding he went with the tech to his kennel without even looking back. that says a lot about out dog trusting the staff as well.

Their staff of veterinarians are outstanding. There are probably cheaper places to take your pet, but the value is there from this facility and I would recommend them to anyone with a pet that they love and want the best care for. Dr. Sarah Hilliard took great care of my dog and gives excellent advice for pet owners.

Ripoff!!! My dog is in need of consistent injections and blood work and it is very expensive. We asked if we could give the injection to save some money. They said yes. We got our bill and they charged my wife $ 32 to show her where to give the shot. We complained and they would not take the $ 32 charge off. We have spent $ 100s over the last couple months and much, much more over the last several years. If you don’t mind being charge $ 45 to recheck something they already diagnosed and you payed for, or paying $ 32 to be shown where to give a shot… then have at it… we are choosing not to anymore.

My review is mainly about boarding. Having had my dog get sick every time she boarded at my vets, I was looking for a new place. A friend used LonenTree Vets for her dog for vets and boarding and said they were great. So I dropped in unannounced and asked to see the boarding area… they took me thru without notice, and I was impressed by the people and facilities. They have detailed notes over each kennel, and the guy who took me around knew each pups special needs without even looking at the notes. My dog eats well there, never gets sick and is well cared for. Worth driving a bit further to insure she does well when I am away.

Extended evening and weekend hours. Always easy to get an appt. The doctors are very caring and the front desk staff is great. Prices are reasonable, wait times are sometimes long, but well worth it. I’ve never had any issues with them.

I have been bringing my pup here for over a year now and always have a good experience (not sure about the pup though). The atmosphere feels like a spa for your pet. Very friendly staff and they will get you in for an appointment fairly easily. I love that they have a groomer and vet in the same place and you can drop your baby off in the morning anytime and they call when they’re finished.

We have a very skid dish rescue that needed blood work. I dreaded it because previous visits to any vet always resulted in traumatic experiences. Lone Tree gave us a sedative for our dog and worked slowly with him to get the blood work, but also take care of some grooming issues. When he came out, he actually seemed happy, not scared! The vet tech was amazing and I’m very appreciative of her.

As a person who always reads reviews, and now researching a new vet in a new state, I decided to look back on what people had said about Lone Tree. There isn’t much here, so I wanted to help others.
I lived in Denver for 11 years, and took my cocker spaniel here from day 1. They were always friendly, thorough, and always called after they closed to check and see how my dog was doing.
I had a really healthy dog and never had anything major for Lone Tree to do. Ear infections, a sprained or cut paw, boarding, yearly vaccinations, were about the max for our baby.
After 9 years, he had what seemed like a really red droopy eye. We took him in and it was diagnosed as an eye infection. After meds for a few days, it wasn’t getting better. We went back in and they recommended a specialist. They believed it could be Glaucoma. They sent us to VRCC on Santa Fe and Hampden where we received excellent treatment. Sure enough it was Glaucoma and we had to remove his eye. Lone Tree called to see how the appointment went with the VRCC and they continued to check on him throughout the check ups, surgery, and after care.
We continued to go to Lone Tree until recently when we moved to CA. They have always been fantastic. They always knew my dogs name and would always pet him and play with him upon arrival. Loved the front staff, nurses, and dr’s. I highly recommend Dr. Boyle and Dr. Burstein. Fantastic, caring vets! I felt their prices were very reasonable.
I only wish I could bring them to CA. Looking for a new place is hard.

I didn’t realize I’d never written a review for Lone Tree.
Until recently I probably would have given them 5 stars. They’ve been very helpful with the rescue I volunteer for, price and time wise. I had to take a foster in on a Sunday when she popped out of her leg cast. Lone Tree was great about getting me in (they have consistent Sunday hours) and replaced her cast pronto. They’ve vaccinated other rescue dogs and most recently boarded my permanent, special needs foster Milo.
Many of my clients (I’m a prof. pet sitter) rely on Lone Tree for their pets medical needs. All have been pleased. I have even taken a client’s dog to the vet when she had a rash. I’ve never found the staff disappointing. In fact, I’ve always been very pleased with the level of professionalism and concern (although I don’t dispute any other Unilocaler’s situation. Customer service and apparently veterinary knowledge isn’t always even across the board).
When I boarded Milo at the beginning of August I got a tour of the facility, including the medical boarding area in intensive care. I went over all of his medications and quirks. I called to check on him every day and he seemed to do very well. One of the techs even bought him a special squirrel toy. When they found the towel that had gotten left behind, they called to say they’d found it and that they missed having Milo around.
The «until recently» is due to an experience one of my clients had, which I don’t feel I can comment on fairly since it would be a second-​hang account. I would be happy to disclose that information in a private message, but not in my review.

I took my dogs to Lone Tree Vet for 4 years. I always felt the service was a bit impersonal but I stuck with them because their availability was great. You could call same day and get an appointment in most cases. Plus, they provided boarding and was easy to get in. However, I never really trusted what was going on with my dogs while they were in boarding at Lone Tree Vet. Several times my dogs came back with injuries.
What finally did me in was the death of my 7.5 year old greyhound mix. In less than 12 hours she went from being completely fine to being gone. The entire day was a difficult one as her symptoms got worse and worse. I took her in to Lone Tree Vet in the morning. The vet I saw was extremely impersonal and didn’t sympathize with me at all. I felt like she wasn’t really listening to me and just wanted to get me out of there. She recommended that they take a $ 600 3D x-​ray of my dog’s torso to see what was going on. I couldn’t afford that and only after sitting there for 30 minutes trying to figure out what to do and asking as many questions as I could to try and understand what the different scenarios were if I left. Only after all that the vet said they could do a regular x-​ray for much much less ($ 60 I think). We went with that. X-​ray came out and the vet was confident it was just a stomach virus. She was confident that the heart, lungs, ect were all normal looking. Ok… great! So we left.
As I mentioned above, my dog’s health deteriorated throughout the day. More and more symptoms every hour. I called the vet back to see if I should bring her back and she seemed almost annoyed that I was even calling her. Three hours after that call my dog was gone.
We immediately brought her to the 24 emergency vet for cremation. We explained the days events to the vets there and they said the Lone Tree Vet’s diagnosis just didn’t seem right. Luckily, one of the vets there offered to do a free autopsy on our dog to see if she could see anything else and for a teaching experience. A few hours later we found out our dog had a tumor on her heart and cancer throughout her body. While a normal x-​ray wouldn’t have necessarily picked up any signs of cancer throughout the body… the tumor on her heart was massive and should have been noticed on the x-​ray.
When I called Lone Tree Vet the next day to inform them that my dog had passed and that I’d like to speak with the vet I visited the day before they informed me she wasn’t available but would leave a message for her to call me. I never heard from her. I did hear from a different vet, Dr. Burnstein, who has always been very nice to us. The treatment I received that day definitely put a sour taste in my mouth.
Jump forward 3 months. We got a new puppy! Even though I was still upset with Lone Tree Vet we went back for all the puppy’s first vaccinations and scheduled her spaying. We received a quote of around $ 500 from Lone Tree Vet for the spaying. When my husband arrived with the puppy the day of surgery, they hand him the bill (thank goodness before the surgery) and it was almost $ 700! He showed them the original quote and they really had no good explanation for the price difference. My husband left that day with our un-​spayed puppy and that’s when we found a new vet.
In my opinion, the only GOOD THING about Lone Tree Vet is that they have great availability.
