Denver Hip & Knee Clinic explores all possibilities of treatment before surgery, including physical therapy, injections & other conservative approaches.
Should surgery be required, our patients may be eligible for procedures that offer minimally invasive techniques. MIS reduces discomfort, recovery time & scarring in total hip replacement, total knee replacement & partial knee replacement surgery while restoring a natural, fluid motion.

Dr. Edward Szuszczewicz (Dr. Ed) has been in private practice for over 11 years. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and is fellowship trained in hip & knee replacement surgery.

Business Owner
Dr. Szuszczewicz (Dr. Ed) grew up near the Washington D. C area, in both Maryland & Virginia. He completed his undergraduate degree at the College of William & Mary and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. His post-graduate training included a surgical internship at the University of Colorado & a research fellowship in adult hip & knee reconstruction at Harbor-UCLA.
He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Tulane University, followed by a clinical fellowship in hip & knee replacement surgery at the renowned Anderson Clinic in Alexandria, Virginia. It was there that he trained with Dr. Charles Engh, who invented the cementless hip replacement, & his brother Dr. Gerard Engh, who is one of the pioneers of partial knee replacements.
Dr. Ed has published numerous papers based on work done at Harbor-UCLA, Tulane University & the Anderson Clinic. He received the prestigious Charnley Award for hip replacement research published while at Tulane.
