I am very happy with Dr Ho. I’ve had a scar on my face — near my mouth for pretty much my entire life. It is an indented scar & for the last several years filler has worked like a charm. I’m originally from Chicago & when I lived there I went to a plastic surgeon for my injections. When I moved out here I went to another plastic surgery place but a Medispa technician was the one doing the injections. Due to her technique (we are realizing now) I started getting puffiness around the scar. My friend works at a laser spa & offered to do laser treatments on the scar. It made the scar look better but the puffiness even worse. So I decided it’s time to go to the best dermatologists in Colorado (this was after seeing a plastic surgeon & other dermatologist who both had no idea what was wrong with me). I decided if I am going to have a small puffy area on my face we should at least refill in the indented scar in the middle of it. Dr Ho agreed but was never satisfied & was determined to figure out what the puffiness was. I hadn’t had filler in almost 3 years so the situation was very mysterious. After several visits & Dr Ho discussing my case with several colleagues & research he thought maybe it could be filler from years ago that went where it wasn’t supposed to. I thought it was a long shot but why not. He injected me with filler dissolver & said I would see results within a few hours if that was the issue. If that wasn’t the issue then I would have the same results. Well, I’m glad he researched & talked to others about my situation because he nailed it. The puffiness is gone & I wish I would’ve gone to him sooner! It’s nice to have a doctor who is thorough & is still thinking about you when you walk out of his office! Thank you Dr Ho!!!

Dr. Ho is an amazing dermatologist. I have been seeing him for six to seven years, starting when a work colleague recommended Dr. Ho as a superb dermatologist. Even though Dr. Ho changed practices and moved from Louisville to Denver, I now make the two hour drive to Lonetree for annual skin checks and small skin problems that occasionally pop up. I hate to drive in Denver traffic and otherwise avoid going to Denver at all costs (and there are plenty of dermatologists in Boulder, near where I live). But Dr. Ho is that good. He patiently answers my many questions with a perfect mix of detailed, up-​to-​date medical knowledge with a laymen vernacular that I can understand. I also find Dr. Ho to walk that fine line that so many doctors miss: that is, he is both super detail oriented, but not a cover-​your-​a** kind of doctor; he won’t push me to do a discretionary test, or undergo some small skin procedure (like clipping a skin tag) unless it is absolutely necessary and he will even discuss with an open mind questions I have about homeopathic or less-​than-​conventional medicine. In short, Dr. Ho is an über-​qualified dermatologist with the highest credentials and experience, but also a reasonable, communicative individual who treats me as an equal. I wish all doctors, dermatologists or otherwise, were like Dr. Ho.

WORST DR VISIT EVER!!! I’ve never walked out of a doctors appointment before until now. Front desk completely overwhelmed, unfriendly and rude. I never ever saw Dr. Ho because I was so put off by the front desk. If you book here be prepared to be booked out 3 – 4 months and then be treated like a herd of cattle when you get there. Dermatologist aren’t in short supply. FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR!

Had the most horrible experience with the Esthetician Christine Negley today I made an appointment with Dr Stoler over 3 months ago I went to c her to find a way to improve my melasma I made another appointment with the Esthetician Christine and she was awful very hostile was talking down to me and was very unprofessional I think she should be trained in how to talk to patients in a better, kinder way she is an awful unprofessional person I will not recommended this Esthetician to anyone!

My experience with Dr. Contreras was awful. He did not care about me at all, I wish he would have referred me to his partner.
I went in with a rash all over body that i had been dealing with for a couple months. He wanted to put me on prednisoyne, which I had already
had twice and it did not help. I told Dr. Contreras this and he put me on it and told me to call him if it didnt get better in a couple weeks. He
also biopsyed the area to see if it was allergy. My rash had very little improvement and was worse it some spots. I called him (which took 3 days and
5 phone calls) to let him know and his response was just keep your appointment for your allergy tests. I was in tears and crying this was keeping me up
all night i had deep sores that would crack open when i moved. So i went to a different doctor who put me on antibiotics and gave me light treatment
and who said this is not an allergy. 2 weeks later my rash has improved by 65%. He also gave me prescription zyrtec to help me sleep and not
itch. i would never see this doctor again even if he did answer my call.

I have been a patient of Dr. Contreras for a while now and he and his staff have always made me comfortable. I often joked about being an «annuity» for a dermatologist so they had better take good care of me as I have had multiple skin cancers as well as a chronic skin condition. A recent biopsy on a small lesion on my nose was identified as a basal cell carcinoma. Unfortunately, I had undergone MOHS surgery in another practice a couple of years earlier in the exact location and this was a recurrent tumor.
Dr. Contreras referred me to his partner at About Skin, Dr. Joel Cohen for MOHS. I met Dr. Cohen in early summer and together, we discussed the diagnosis, treatment and outcome and most importantly agreed upon a timeline that would allow me to enjoy the majority of my summer in the pool with the grandkids.
About 10 days ago I had the surgery done in the Swedish Medical Office building location. The procedure was scheduled later in the day and ended up being there for close to 5 hours due to the fact that it required four excisions before he could come to me with confidence stating that the margins were clear on any sign of tumor. Now the fun began as I had a significant hole in my nose and thought to myself no way can he bring this thing together without a skin graft. Dr. Cohen was fantastic and truly an artist in reconstructing my nose. I initially had a significant amount of swelling and bruising but less than 2 weeks later after having my sutures removed I am amazed at how good my nose looks and NO SKIN GRAFT!
I want to thank Dr. Cohen and his staff for there fantastic care. Maria, your administration of my local anesthetic was the best ever you have quite a touch and Michael, your willingness to explain everything and deliver post-​op instructions was the best. All in all I want to say that I believe I have found my comfort zone in the derm community with About Skin Dermatology and I want to thank both Dr. Contreras and Dr. Cohen for their most excellent care and a special thanks to the back office team for their supporting role!
