Great America Subs & Salads

Stopped in on our way home to Massachusetts. We were a part of 7. The guys took care of us right away and our subs were out quick and very delicious!

This Sandwich Shop has gotten better since the two young Gentlemen who are always there making great subs have taken over. Not sure if they own the business or what, but they are fast and efficient. I have not had less than a better than average experience here every time I stop for lunch. My go to sub is the «Great American», which consists of Turkey, roast beef, and ham. On the hot sub side of choice is their Steak and cheese. Both are tasty and fresh. My wife usually opts for a Grilled Chicken on Greek Salad or the Chicken Ceasar Wrap. (She is more health conscious when it comes to lunch.) She is more than satisfied with the taste and portion size. My only minor critique is that the amount of meat filling could use an increase. The bread, (including, wraps, or Syrian) is always fresh and the size offerings are 7″ — 9″ or 12″. There is a small seating area with about 6 or 7 standard hard surface booths. Prices are more than reasonable. They do have a hot dog steamer on their counter. I am hoping they will keep it stocked full of franks and buns. I never see the steamer in action on my Saturday visits. Overall a good standard sandwich shop with consistent QUALITY subs.

Ordered their subs for the first time tonight. I’m not sure if this is normal, but there was barely any cold cuts on my Italian sub. It was much larger than expected, over a foot long. I was really disappointed with the sub. My fixings over powered the little bit of meat I had and I was not able to taste it at all. I hope this is not how they are normally made!

There are a few good vegan options here, but the selection is still very limited. Employees are nice enough, and willing to accommodate.

Great subs and service … Better yet great people !! Support local good business and if you like a huge sub go here !!

Sub par.

This is my go-​to place for fast, cheap lunch when shopping in that part of Londonderry. Their cheese steaks hold their own against other local shops (but are not as good as the gold standard, TC Landos, in Acton, MA) and the price is fair.
Service is friendly and efficient. You can get in and out faster than the nearby Wendy’s, and Great American actually cooks the food.

Plain and simple… None better!

I ordered the steak and cheese sub and there was no flavor to it. Very bland and I was expecting there to be some flavor since I added onions and mushrooms but there was nothing. I was disappointed with the sub.

Very good steak and cheese sub with fast service & low prices. I’m not sure what else you can ask for from a sub shop.

They definitely have the best subs that I’ve had. I challenge you to try their chicken parm sub. The chicken isn’t your typical chicken fingers, its fresh breaded and tastes like its fried in actual peanut oil. It was very tender and super juicy. The marinara sauce was super tomatoy and spiced right and the bread was nice and soft.
The roast beef is either Old Neighborhood or it tastes just like it.

Fantastic subs. Always get the great american. No need for anything else. Deffinatly in the top 3 all time subs I’ve had. PS they also serve beer.

This sub shop has a very similar name and menu to another sub shop in Derry. Great America Subs offers hot & cold subs, pockets, salads, Utz Chips, Coke & Pepsi products from the cooler and frozen ice cream bars. There is light blue fast food style hard seating in the dining area across the the food counter.
I tried their staple sub, the Steak Bomb ($ 7.39 plus tax for a large sub) with shaved steak, peppers, onions, & salami chopped and grilled to order. The roll was very soft and easy to eat, but when I first bit into the sub, I chewed on some grizzle. The rest of the Steak Bomb Sub was otherwise okay.
