Comcast Service Center

This is not about this location, it is about the company in general.
After being told how «wonderful» X1 is, we switched. BIG mistake. Nothing but issues. This morning my remote wasn’t working. So I tried the online chat… just back away from the keyboard! If you sign in through their website then you don’t have to answer nine thousand questions about who you are. Although they have to double check your email and ask again what the issue is. After 30 mins (yes that long) of just getting that squared away, we get down to the issue.
I was told they would reset my box and expect my box to shut itself off, start back up and possibly my guide/​on demand be unavailable for 45 mins. Uh ok. I’m waiting, waiting, waiting… nothing. So he asked if the box had reset itself. When I told him no, he said ‘don’t worry, it will’. Nope. Nothing. Watching Adele’s video for Hello (since I’m now stuck on VH1). He then states that the signal he sent won’t shut the box down. My reply was ‘scroll up. That’s not what you said.’ He then tried to back track and say the signal he sent won’t shut off my box… um ok. That didn’t help the situation.
Now we are up to 45 mins in chat. Now he’s telling me he’s putting in a new order for new equipment that will take 3 – 5 days to get to me… STOP…WHAT??? How about asking me. So now my options become mail out equipment, send out a tech with new equipment or drive to the closest office to pick it up. I explain that while all those options seem so amazing and wonderful, honestly they all suck. You know that sending them to me will create issue. The last time they mailed me equipment, we could have moved my family into the box they sent the equipment in. Like it was massive for a small part. Plus my UPS guy is miserable and he threw it down the hallway to me. He’s a hot I tell ya. You may also know that sending out a tech is as equally awesome. They make you wait like 4 days and you get the worst possible times. 3 – 5 maybe. He shows up at 4:59 as dinner is cooking, the kids are crying, the trash needs to go out and now you’ve set off the smoke alarms because the tech has 45 questions. Then you feel bad, do you ask if he wants charred chicken? Because that’s so appealing. Then he spends an hour in and out of your house, only to tell you that he has no clue what’s going on… ugh. Finally driving to the closest office. That’s always fun. Even if it’s 20 mins away you know you take 2+ hrs to go, wait in line, explain the issue, check to make sure the equipment works (IF they even have it), head home but realize you need bread and milk so you stop at the store and imagine that everyone in the free world needs bread and milk. Awesome! Finally you get home, set up the equipment and nothing… So you have to call (stay away from chat!) and spend 45 mins on the phone hold and answering every question about yourself only to find out it just needs a signal refresh. Then of course entails the task of setting up the remote…
I completely understand that equipment doesn’t last forever. Truly I do. But honestly this equipment is 9 months old. It really should last a bit longer. I just don’t understand why if this is such an «awesome» company (their words, not mine) then please someone explain why on earth is it a hassle to get through, speak to the correct live person and have equipment that works consistently. I won’t even get started on how overpriced they are…

This review is about the company. It is no small secret that Comcast/​Xfinity has the worst customer service on the planet. We were supposed to get a $ 200 gift card when we signed up. They of course screwed up when we signed up for the service and it got delayed. They screwed our bill up and then sent up a double bill. Of course when it came time to send us the gift card they said because we didn’t meet the criteria for making all our payment in a timely manner we forfeited the gift card. So let me get this straight. You screw up our bill (conveniently on your part) and we don’t get our gift card and save yourself $ 200. Gee I wounder how many times that happens. Never again will we ever use this company. Just Google I hate Comcast or Xfinity and see how many hits you get.

On the morning of June 30^th, 2015, a technician from Comcast arrived at my apartment. During that time our parking lot was being seal coated and he tracked sealcoat from the parking lot onto the new carpet throughout the living room, dining area, hall and bedroom. The technician noticed it, brought it to my attention and apologized. Before he left he told me that he had already called the claim in to Comcast and they would be in touch with me.
After 2 days without any contact from Comcast or their insurance company I called them. This was on July 2^nd. They started a ‘ticket’ on that date. They were unable to access their technician’s claim because it was through a different department and they do not share information.
I waited for a call and again it didn’t happen. I called again on July 7^th, 10^th, 13^th and 21^st. I did speak to a supervisor named Chris during the July 13^th call. He started another ‘ticket’ that requested contact from the technicians manager regarding the claim made from my apartment by their employee on June 30^th. Chris said this was the only way for him to get any information regarding the initial claim.
During these numerous phone calls I have been told that I would be contacted within 48 hours, 72 hours and 14 days. All of these time periods have been exceeded without contact of any type. During one of these calls I was transferred to a claims department. They refused to speak to me because I wasn’t an employee.
Their technician tracked sealcoat onto new carpet and Comcast should repair the damage. I believe Comcast is waiting for me to give up in frustration.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Recently moved to Londonderry. It took 1 week, 2 tech visits and 4 phone conversations to get my cable working. And to think they continue to advertise how good their moving service is. Unbelievable. What a joke.

You know what they say «Don’t always believe what you hear.»
This is so true about this center. They pretend to care, but they don’t. Can’t get a box that works without it skipping and malfunctioning. Every time I exchange the box, I get another refurbished one that does the same thing. This has happened several times. Oh, yes, they want to send out a service repair to check my connection. I don’t need my line checked, I need a box that works. Calling the 800 number for Xfinity doesn’t get you any further either. After many attempts of calling in, spending countless hours on the phone, you get the same response. «Let’s set up a service call.»
Also, no waiting? What a joke. In the several times I have gone there, the average wait is 10 – 15 minutes.

Comcast and Motorola clearly intended for cable boxes to be in an eye retina shot 15 feet right from your bed! What I discovered is that they need to be shut off at night.
How do I know this you ask? While I was trying to sleep, Batman appeared in my window because he had thought that I launched the bat signal.
Then a week later, I got a letter from the FAA stating that whatever light was omitting from my house bedroom was blinding pilots.
Snooki actually drops by once a week to use the light to also tan herself when she cant sleep.
In case you’re not picking up what I’m putting down, the box is ridiculously, utterly stupid bright, Its like a solid 5 inches of orange time clock light that will pierce your soul.
I’m genuinely surprised that the same company that is brilliant enough to engineer communications devices for airplanes in the air, would put such high beams on a cable box. I hate the fact I need to turn it off every night and turn on.
*sigh* But I do heart the show, ‘Bar Rescue’.

Oh yeah, the people who work here are so goddamn nice and pleasant, they make me fart rainbows. Lower your costs, Comcast! You goddamn bunch of cable whores!

I have recently been to 3 Comcast branches to hunt down my dream cable box: Westford (MA), Nashua (NH), Londonderry (NH). This one is the ultimate best. They even got multiple Motorola DCX3400-​M boxes in stock while the other 2 places provide no ETA. Susan is particularly friendly and nice. No complaint. Westford one is run by she-​devils, avoid at all cost. Even if you have to walk to this one or the Nashua one, do it.

As for customer service, I have never had a problem here.
I never had to wait, and the staff are nice and actually pleasant.
It sounds like other Comcast offices should do business like this one.
I drive more miles to come here rather than have a unpleasant experience at another, busy Comcast office.
