Wow, let me tell you how excited I am to have this establishment in Lompoc! It’s off the beaten path and I like that it’s tucked away off the main streets. I walk in and just love the décor. Wood. Great raised tables. Huge, comfy oversized chairs. I immediately felt a relaxed. Beer/wine bar with small plates. We ordered a bottle of champagne and a small cheese plate with salami and pretzel knots. It came out fresh hot! It was so good we immediately ordered another one! Next day we came back for the same thing. It was about 7pm and no patrons? We were welcomed and assured we could relax and enjoy our drink. We ordered the same thing. But this time a large cheese plate and pretzels! Still super delicious! A bottle of red was also ordered I wish I could remember the name! We complimented the décor and oversized bar chairs. and that opened a fun conversation with the owner. make sure you ask about them. We also learned that everything is local. wine, cheese, breads, beers. Ohh music to my ears! The prices are great too! They do local fundraisers for local organizations. did I mention this is Lompoc!!! I feel like a VIP on the couch area! This place is LOCAL, buys LOCAL& supports LOCAL. I am so excited about this establishment! Do yourself a favor visit this place! I will be back soon and highly recommend it! I can’t wait to sit on the patio upstairs soon!

Valentines day… not crowded at all but the staff is either very inexperienced at servicing patrons or the simply didn’t care. A 45 minute wait for food, pretzel and pizza, when everyone around us got excellent customer service. The pretzels were comped when they finally came but by that time we were over it. No barmaid at all resulted in alot of customers wondering what was going on. The only people who were served in a timely matter were larger groups. The table benches need footrests, short people with short legs have blood flow cut off at the thighs. So for now, I’m sorry it’s only a two star rating. Update– After being contacted by the owner we discussed my above review. We now have an understanding as to why and what was going on to at the time and she assured me that steps were in place to address all issues to make Native Tounge a finer establishment in our town. Her quick response and professionalism in dealing with me on a one on one level has prompted me to give her place a five star rating.

Native tongue exceeded my expectations beyond words… the décor was gorgeous I immediately whipped out my phone to take photos for inspo for my own bar… Then I found out they built it from their old house(from 1886?) and upholstered it themselves, I was shocked. Wines by the glass were priced at an all time low, which is a wonderful way to introduce people to the magical world of wine! If you need any guidance– Linsey is your girl, the is very knowledgeable about all of their wines and can guide you in the right direction, she also hand picks all of their wine from local wineries… Wowza. Super excited for Lompoc to have such a gem!

I have been several times since opening. The wine and beer selection are amazing and all«native» selections. I have had the foccacia pizza and the cheese plate both of which were great. The only concern is how loud it is. They also need TV’s for sports.

This spot just opened after a lot of loving care and time put into building it. The back story on the super cool buildout is awesome and I’ll let you hear it for the first time when you visit. Story includes recycled 100+ family home and lots of cool wood. This spot is a wine and beer bar with great selection of small plate food/charcuterie. The few glass of Pinot Noir I had were awesome and well priced. The cheese and charcuterie plate was large and very tasty. The overall selection is great and very skewed to local. Since the Sta Rita Hills is a couple of miles away that is a good thing. You will definitely be happy that you found this spot. I am as I am a local winemaker and will be here often.
