South Bay Baseball Cards is a family owned & operated business that opened its doors in 1986. Our retail store offers nearly 3000 square feet of sports cards, collectibles, and autographed memorabilia spanning all sports. Our vast selection of cards ranges from pre-​war vintage to modern and includes singles and sets plus an extensive commons inventory to fill want lists. We stock everything from star cards and rookies to packs, boxes, and cases of the most recently released hot-​selling items at fair and competitive market prices.

Our number one goal is customer satisfaction and customer service. Because of this philosophy, we’re always ready to help young and old, new and experienced collectors fulfill their dreams as they work to obtain valuable sports cards and sports memorabilia. SBBC, Inc. has over four dozen display cases of cards, collectibles and memorabilia. We stock dozens of custom frame items that cover our walls, including photos, lithographs and jerseys from all sports.

Our retail store is located in Lomita, California and offers nearly 3000 square feet of sports cards, collectibles, and autographed memorabilia. From modern autographed cards to vintage 50’s and 60’s baseball cards. Autographed jersey, bats and balls to vintage toys, memorabilia and anything you can think of.

Paid 100 dollars for the boxes they made, I literally got a 5 dollar auto (Tristan Thompson) and three 1 dollar jersey cards. I used to be a big fan of SBAY, but they are scamming people now. GO TO FRANK AND SONS INSTEAD!

As much a card shop as a beautiful sports museum. One of the largest brick and mortar shops I’ve been too with a great staff. Huge vintage section, Ian will help you find what you’re looking for — he’s seen it all. If you’re a collector, this is your destination.

Came in mostly for cases/​sleeves only but ended up buying booster boxes for TCGs also. Very friendly and awesome service, they also can order stuff for you if it’s not in the store and they only charge retail price. On my second visit, they already gave me nice discount and final price ended up still cheaper than from Amazon with free shipping! If I’m in the area will definitely come here again!

I used to be a huge fan of this place and would always buy boxes of cards whenever I would be in the area, but the customer service here is just not on par with that of other stores in the area. I would still be a loyal customer of this place if it hadn’t been for a visit a year ago where an employee basically told me off for questioning the quality and pricing of their so called «superboxes.» Not even in a rude manner I asked why the quality of the box I purchased for $ 65 dollars from them, which was packaged by them, Included only $ 9 worth of cards. I understand why this would happen with a box of panini or topps where you expect to get a bad box once in a whe, but every box that they make here that I have purchased has yielded complete trash. When I question the pricing I got a angry look and a piss poor excuse of an answer which was basically «how dare you say our superboxes are bad?» And I also was breaded to take down a negative review of the company I had posted years earlier. So this place was also stalking people who gave negative feedback. As I said, the store has tons of great products, but the employees can be downright rude.

Visited this place a few days ago to search out some Warriors basketball cards and Scott and his father were so warm and friendly when we (my nephew, brother and my sis-​in-​law) walked in. This place has a huge collection of cards, jerseys and much more! They have some of the best custom framing pieces that I have ever seen! Too bad I live in Berkeley otherwise I would visit this place once a week! Thanks for your expertise and kindness Scottie!

On Thursday, I had another great trip to the South Bay Baseball Card Store. Ian (the store has always been owned and operated by the Allen family) knows what I collect and helped me make a nice dent in my want list for ’55 Bowmans. After nearly 25 years, whether I am visiting/​browsing, this is still one of my favorite places on Earth.

Very knowledgeable family ran store. They have all sorts of sports memorabilia in store. Let’s you see how times have changed in variety of different sports. They have a real neat collection of sports items they sell from trading cards to autographed jerseys and more. A one stop shop for all these cool sports memorabilia!

Been here 2x and both times treated poorly as a customer. Don’t go here if you don’t have to.
The first trip 2 people worked there. One was a nice guy but after my husband paid for his purchase the other one (older white guy) turned to my mixed race husband, just short of calling him a thief, told him to put his $ 3 purchase away so he won’t be suspected of not paying for them, after the other staff member confirmed we had just made a purchase.
2nd visit i try to get a deck box and they are out so i try to find our when they may have new stock. I ask 2 different staff members standing next to each other. After they tell me they are out of stock i reply with another question. They literally turn away and ignore me. I tell them fine I’ll find a new shop because they are rude .at which point a 3rd staff member proceeded to argue with me about being blatantly ignored. Rather than offering to answer or help with original the question.

Cool place with something for everyone. I went in looking for 1968 Topps cards, and the dad (Ian?) kindly pulled out a 3k ct box for me to look through. The deal was fair enough, I suppose, but I appreciated the service. Not pushy, knowledgeable, and trustworthy.
I was also given free pizza!
Great place to look around and enjoy the nostalgia. Friendly staff makes an otherwise good 4-​star shop a 5-​star one

I’m here from the East Coast and had a place like this back East called America’s Pasttime. The baseball card business is a tough one and theres always one or two stores that stand the test of time and have had the good fortune to stumble on a number of old collection. This place had EVERYTHING. Old Jumbo sized basketball cards. Ted Williams tons of them. The old tobacco card that were of the same size as that famous Honus Wagner.
Autographed everything.
A true living sports collectable museum. Nice area. Clean friendly atmosphere and well trafficked.
Made me wish I was 8 years old again.

Visited for the first time this past weekend and Scott and Ian are great. This is a one of a kind place for collectors and they will go out of their way to meet your needs. Their shop caters to both avid collectors and those just looking to pick up some memories from their youth. As someone who has just gotten back into baseball card collecting I will definitely become a regular here.

I have been coming here for years for all my sports memorabilia needs. I have purchased autographed items, cases, and had framing done. Everytime I come in I am greeted by first name and it really makes me feel at home. The prices are not bad here at all either. I find that the owners here truly care that the customer leaves satisfied. I have been to other stores like this one and none of them have even come close in the customer service area. If you are looking for some signed balls, jerseys, etc make sure you visit South Bay Baseball Cards before you go anywhere else.

I always come here for my hockey card fix. they have a big selection of almost anything collectible. lots of autographs, on sale items, staff knows the business and will give you honest opinions and prices. Sunday raffle is cool. if your looking for baseball cards, hockey, football, car racing etc etc, they have the cards. jerseys, bats, footballs, boxing gloves, all kinds of other things that a sports collector would want. A+ in my book.

This place is great for sports memorabilia. Pretty much any sport you’re looking for they have. The owners are great people. Scott and Ian I have known them for over 25 years. It feels like you are at home here. I had stopped collecting for about 5 – 6 years and as soon as they saw me they were very welcoming at there store. It was like I never left. If you are in the Southbay area this is the place to go for your sports needs. I feel really satisfied and impressed with the quality of the customer service and products they offer. South Bay Baseball Cards is probably the best card shop in all of Southern California and I’d challenge to say rivals my experiences at Peninsula Sports Cards up in Northern California (Belmont), as being a «fan friendly» retail experience.
Scott, his dad and their staff know how to treat customers right. Their prices are fair. Yes, you might be able to save a little buying online, but as card collector’s know, every box and pack are in fact different, so if you feel this is your lucky location, it’s less about the price and more about the karma.
What’s nice about the store is that the staff remembers their customers by name and are always cheerful and conversational.
They run nice unique specials, including their popular Super Boxes. They have regular customer appreciation raffles with a wide array of prizes. They continually keep a good selection of unopened material, singles, supplies as well as memorabilia.
They put the humanity into the hobby. You can’t get that buying online or winning an auction on eBay. I always maintain supporting the local retailers (and they’re strong supporters of various community groups, so are active contributing members of the neighborhood) and stores like this who earn and deserve the business by doing it right.

I’ve been a sports memorabilia & card collector for over 20 years. Have explored stores throughout CA, AZ, & NV. This is by far the best store as far as content, prices, and deals. As my collecting tastes have changed and refined over the years I’ve always come back to this store. Whatever level collector, from the low end to high, this store has something for you.

South Bay Cards is a wonderful store owned and operated by a terrific father and son duo. They have an amazing inventory, can find anything you’re looking for, and treat you like royalty as soon as you walk through their door. Ian and his son Scott have been in business for over 30 years and let me tell you that this isn’t by chance or luck. They’ve been around for so long because of the relationships that they’ve developed with their customers and the respect that they’ve earned in the sports memorabilia community. They’re honest, family oriented, and lots of fun to hang out with (just check out one of their in store pack opening parties and give aways or watch it broadcasted live on the internet). They make you feel more like family than just a customer.
If you’re looking for sports memorabilia then look no further. It doesn’t get any better than this.

A great find that any sports fan will appreciate. I came across this place while searching for an autographed football as a gift for my brother – turned out they had the perfect one, which they even gift wrapped for me. So I made the drive down to Lomita from the Hollywood area.
If you’re looking for a sports memorabilia gift, something for the man cave, or piece for your office, definitely check them out. Autographed helmets, bats, jerseys, photos, more cards than you could count; the list goes on. If you’re a USC fan, be careful. You may end up testing your credit card limit here. Honestly, I could’ve spent hours just looking around in the place.
The guys were a big help, and for me, it’s cool knowing you’re contributing to a locally owned small business – it’s run by a father & son. Oh, and if you’re not pressed for time, they’re able to ship to you.
