History

Established in 1980.

Ever since the beginning, we’ve heard that it was difficult to find good and honest people who can be trusted with important air conditioning and heating units. That’s when we decided to start a company that would focus on that specific goal: to gain the trust of customers and satisfy them through our HVAC services. Our company grew not from the years of establishment but from the customers and clients we’ve received that made it possible.

For several years now, we’ve done just that. Our professionalism and expertise grew as the company continued to grow. The customers we’ve had in the past are still with us and the new customers are getting as comfortable. Believe in us, and we’ll provide for you.

Harry has over 30 years of experience with HVAC mechanical service. He’s highly suitable in managing and looking over multiple technicians. He shows up to every job site very punctual, professional, and an expert. He knows how to keep his customers happy, not just through the services he provides but his honesty and knowledge that he brings with him. He’s compassionate about his job and the people he keeps in contact with. He’s one of those guys that you can call and talk with for days.

Prompt professional service. One of my rentals had issues with the wall heater, but apparently wall heaters are only serviced by a select few. I found them online, and I’m glad I did. They were there within a couple of hours. The technician was very friendly and knowledgable. Fixed my issue in 10 minutes. The fast response time was pretty amazing. Good company, good service, and Harry is a very nice person on the phone. Win, Win, Win. Thanks Harry.

There customer service is Horrible!!! The ladies who answer the phone are very rude especially the one with a thick eastern accent who refuses to give her name. Lawrence is a human answering machine he takes your name and number and tells you someone will call you back he is not sure but someone will. Lima will be of no help she will ask you if she can assist you but if you need information regarding the status of your work order, ordered parts or a copy of your receipt she can offer no assistance. The Owner appeared to be a good hardworking man who takes pride in his work, he’ll open up to tell you about his daughter who wants to date or his son who wants him to give him pointers on how to kiss, let you know that the everyday stress of family life is enough for one to have to deal with and it shouldn’t be compounded with a non working unit so he will try his best but as soon as you try to get them to complete the job they started all Hell breaks loose. Do your homework people If you believe in the value of your dollar and you like to work with Professional people stay away from this company.

Service was bad because the guy showed up injured, then he asked for helped and of course I end up paying for all their delays. On top of that they sold me a thermostat more than 200% of the original price, so now you know what to expect.

A very easy process to call and make an appointment for the following morning… We had settled on 8 am an when the tech’s earlier job took a little longer someone called to tell me that the new window of arrival would be between 9 and 10 am. I must appreciated this call…

I contacted California Air Conditioning Systems to give me an estimate to replace 4 roof units on our commercial building. Within days, Harry came out to check out our building and said I would have an estimate within a couple of days. Nicest guy ever, EXCEPT, that 4 weeks later I STILL NEVER received an estimate, despite multiple emails asking for it. I am not sure why a company is NOT INTERESTED in a 25−30K dollar job. We went with another company, they installed in a week.

I was told a technician would be out sometime today but I was not given a time. They said they would give me a call about an hour before he arrived. Well 3pm rolls around and no word. Considering they close at 5pm I gave them a call to make sure someone was coming. They said I was still on their schedule so I stayed home and waited. around 4pm the technician shows up. I tell him my AC unit is on the roof and he says, «Oh I don’t have a ladder. Do you?» What company doesn’t send a guy out with a ladder? Well I do have a ladder a standard 8′ ladder but apparently that wasn’t tall enough. The technician says, «I’ll be back in a little bit with a ladder.» Well, I just got a call back from the company, apparently now it is too close to closing time 4:30pm and they stop working at 5pm. So no one is coming back. I took the ENTIRE day off of work for this. Not acceptable.

Well, I called and asked for a repair and estimate for a new system. I was told they would email me the next day.
I got no email but a technician showed up the next day at exactly the time I called the day before. Hmm.
OK, so all good. I had him pump some freon in the old unit and he said they will give me an estimate for a new unit soon.
Update: We had a problem where the AC and entire unit failed a day after they showed up to pump in some R22. The owner came out with his crew and dissected the problem.
GREAT company. Good people. I don’t think you can go wrong.

I was lucky to check out this company thru Unilocal!A/​C not working, flashing P3 on monitor! This never happened before! It’s not good to have this unit broken after getting it serviced (from different company)
A year ago! Called Harry Irvine at 850pm;
I was so happy that an actual person answered my call after hours! I already sensed that he is a good and reliable person thru speaking to him over the phone.
I made appointment for the next day, between 9am-​10am. The following day, an hour before meeting that he confirmed our appt for 9am and double check our home address. What a great guy, very professional ! Came to the house on time! He took a quick look and said our a/​c monitor only needs battery! What a honest person! A/​C went out and of course its Sunday and a billion and one degrees outside. Found Harry on Unilocal and he came over in less than an hour. Diagnosed the problem as a short in the wire in my wall and a malfunctioning thermostat.
He replaced the wiring in the wall and the thermostat — now it works like a charm! Timely, affordable and professional, Look no further if you need a quality AC guy. Harry and California Air Conditioning Systems are the BEST in the South Bay.

We called Harry last Saturday Night around 11pm. Our Walking Cooler had stopped working.
Harry showed up at 7:00 the next morning. Our Walking Cooler was up and running around 9:00 am. We saved lots of monies in perishable items we usually stored, and our business could open on Mother’s Day!
Harry acted very professional, and made very smart suggestion to our business. This kind of customer service is excellent and rare to find. I am sure we will call Harry if we ever have a refrigeration problem.

Besides having a spectacular staff, Harry and the team have always given us a straight answer and never the run around. He was nice enough to lend us a temporary unit with no additional charges until we could get our permanent unit installed. I really don’t know of any other current business owner that would help out their clients in this fashion. How GENEROUS is that? They definitely know how to treat and keep their customers. I bought a Nest Thermostat on Black Friday ’14 and attempted to install it myself. With my luck, it wouldn’t work and after researching online I knew I’d need a professional to help me with the installation. I called so many other businesses online and right off the bat I could tell the chemistry wasn’t right. I put off having a thermostat for over a month because other companies turned me off so much. It wasn’t until I came upon Cal Air that I knew they were the guys I wanted to help me.
I spoke with Harry over the phone and he told me that he’d be over between 1pm and 3pm the same day! What’s even better is that he showed up just a little past noon and got right to work. He was extremely personable and I felt comfortable welcoming him into my home. In addition to his personality, he was extremely knowledgable and very efficient. Turns out that I had blown the secondary transformer on the furnace. Harry replaced the fuse and installed the Nest post-​haste. He was in and out in less than 30 minutes.
I highly recommend Harry and Cal Air. They will be my go-​to guys for any future HVAC needs.
