4 out of 6 ppl got sick eating at this establishment from our party. The 2 that didn’t get sick hardly even ate. Some type of food poisoning…

I came here one time for lunch and, while it’s tiny inside, the gyros are really good! We were able to find a table inside and the place felt pretty authentic.

Hot Dogs, Gyros, Fresh cut fries. Great, quick service and a must stop for me when I’m in Lombard. My favorite«hole in the wall» place to eat.

I don’t know WTF I just paid for but it for sure ISN’T an AUTHENTICGREEK, CHICKENGYROS, or anything close to it! This is some, overprocessed, rubbery, dried out, disgusting, fake replica! You CANNOT even call this CHICKEN, or any kind of FOOD! It reminds me of something made by Play-doh. I refuse to put this in my body. On my way to return it before they close! Ughk! I’d rather starve. Go to Greektown, or another place in the city, so you can get a very good idea of what you need to serve paying customers.

Great for takeout. Excellent food. The gyro special is a great value. 7.50 for a huge gyro, a ton of fries, and a soda. They also have chicken gyros, burritos and a few other items. I have no complaints. However, if you are s health nut this is not for you.

I like steves. I’ll admit the first time I saw them grill the gyro meat it freaked me out but I’ve come to like it. Fresh fries. One order enough for three.

Has been the exact same thing as long as I can remember. Cheap but delicious sandwiches. And they still do the fresh cut fries. They don’t accept credit cards… so hit up the ATM before coming

Still CASHONLY. I was warned ahead of time about needing cash so was prepared. I got the beef w/pepper sandwich, fries and lemonade. The food is good but not good for you, lol. Tge sauce on my sandwich perfected the taste, the fries were HOT and the lemonade was crisply cold. This place is small and the cooking area keeps it hot. We didn’t come for the ambiance so we were pleasantly satisfied. I give the 3 stars because of the cash only restriction and because they aren’t very structured with their food pickup.

Tried today and I was very impressed — loads of fried onions, great fries and extra taziki sauce with no questions asked. Service was good, the place seemed very clean. I’ll go again

Looking to «Get your FATON?» Great little gem right off of Roosevelt Rd.(Closest and busiest intersection is with Westmore –Meyers). Lots of good, greasy food for days you feel greasy and gross. You may be a skeptic at first when you see the building. It’s small and yellow and a bit run down looking from the outside. The inside is tiny. There’s not alot of room. This is a more«take it to go» type of place. Kind of grungy in my opinion. Food, however, is great. Awesomely affordable. Hotdogs are on parr and you are given a more than generous heaping of french fries for each order. My favorite is their gyros plate. Tomato, onions and their tzakzaki sauce on a warm pita and served with fries. Yummm. Bogus only because they don’t accept credit/debit cards. CASHONLY! Oh and no free drink refills. Want more to drink, fork up another $ 0.50.

Gyros are the best in town, giant burritos and burgers are solid as well. Good fries if you like them greasy. The Italian beef is nothing special. The dining room isn’t super clean or comfortable, but the service is super quick. Cash only, although there is an ATM.

Nasty. Their idea of a gyro wasn’t the same as mine. I have never seen anyone shave the gyro rack and then toss the meaty goodness into a puddle of oil on the flatgrill. It should go from rack to pita. Also, they had some half-grilled onions. The onions on a gyro should be raw. I was never asked if wanted half-grilled onions. The tzatziki was okay though a little too thick and bland for my likeness. I will not return to this place as they do not know how to gyro. Also, I dined-in and found the place to be heavily staffed, yet no one took the time to come out from behind the counter and wipe down the tables from the lunch crowd. All the empty tables were covered with ketchup and crumbs.

If not for the fries a 3 star… Love the fries! Do not go here for atmosphere, it doesn’t have any. Also, it may be the ugliest building in the area… that color must have been on sale. No credit cards .50 refills on your soda Other than the fries. you must be thinking WTF? Well, we ordered the Gyros lunch special(#1?) which come with a large helping of fries, a fully packed Gyro(With a really large container of delicious Tsatsiki sauce. at other places I usually have to pay extra for more. didn’t need to here) and a soda.(Pepsi Products) I like my Gyro without the tomato and onion. Lisa likes them. so we both got what we wanted. as much as we could eat for a total(with tax) of $ 15.10. The Gyros were piping hot with lot’s of sauce(put your own on) and the fries were great. my favorite style. When we go to lunch at at just about any other place like this… it’s $ 20.00 So, Steve’s gets props for value, good food and great fries. It’s divey and the dining room is small, but the parking isn’t bad. I would like to go back and try a beef. I saw another guy eating one of those that looked good.

The worse WANABEGYROS in the world, and the italian beef, or what ever it was, cause it never tasted like a beef sandwich, it was so disgusting, the beef tasted like old ass, which NO I never tasted old ass cause I never had it… but It could of been old ass. The Gyros had grilled onions instead of raw oniins which is really greek style. these idiots dont have a clue of real food no wonder it was empty when we got here. Never again will I eat here

This is a must stop when I come to the Oakbrook area for work. Yes it’s a hole-in-the-wall, yes the food is greasy, but that’s what makes it taste so good. Come hungry because the portions are large. I got a gyro with fries and a soda for $ 7. I’m grateful to live 300 miles away or I’d probably get very fat from this place!

I drove past this place nearly everyday for the past four years pondering to myself, «I wonder how this place is? Is it any good?» Needless to say, all my questions were answered a week ago. I stumbled into the restaurant after work. tired, hungry, and filled with the lust of greasy goodness. The place is divided into two sections: on the left a dining room, on the right the a cash register and a giant grill. The wall is littered with pictures of what you could order and the deals the place offers. As I sat and pondered… I could the sizzling sound of burger on the grill, I could smell fresh fries generously salted. I decided to order 2 dogs, fries and a lemonade for $ 4.99. Not a bad deal. I patiently waited no more than 5 minutes and before being gifted my delicious food. I must say the dogs came as a reminiscent of Gene and Jude’s hot dogs. They came individually wrapped with the fries on top and might I say the dogs were outstanding, I put everything on them(hot peppers, pickles, onions, mustard… the works.) The fries generously salted and stayed in that beautiful medium of not too crispy but not too soft. And finally, I guzzled it all down with a refreshing lemonade. My trip was fantastic and the food at a reasonable price. I do recommend and will most certainly return.

CASHONLY. There is an ATM inside but I would suggest coming prepare. The place sits on Roosevelt, so all parking is limited to the back of the building. While the place looks sketchy, the chicken gyro and fries were pretty good. It was made to order. I found myself eating the fries until I convinced myself that I would soon regret consuming that much grease so early in the evening. Such bad eating is often reserving for late night binges and poor judgment. The combo was just under $ 7 with tax. The equivalent of a trip to MacD’s. I was not head over heels with the experience but I would eat there again if hungry and in the area. Of some note, the cashier was committed to using as few words as possible and the establishment serves Pepsi products.
