At Smile Dental Care, we offer gentle, compassionate, affordable dental care to children, youths, adults, and seniors. Each patient is viewed as a member of our family and treated with respect and courtesy, while we work with them to achieve excellent oral health and beautiful smiles. Dr. Kyle Takla, Dr. Hetal Patel, Dr. Nilofer Khan, Dr. George Barsa, Dr. Parihan Tamkin, Dr. George Alamir, Dr. Daniel Weber, Dr. Sukjhit Kaur, and our team, believe in offering painless, professional dental treatments to our patients, whether they are visiting us for a routine checkup or are having more intensive dental work done. We emphasize preventive care, patient education, and involving our patients in deciding treatment paths.

Dr. Takla graduated from Loyola University, combined prosthodontics program in 1999. Specialty program includes crowns, bridges, dentures and implants. During my years in practice my focus has been to achieve patient care and communication for all dental needs. My continued goal is to increase my dental knowledge and skills and to help our patients achieve their dental dreams. Dr. Takla is married with 2 daughters and 2 sons. He enjoys spending time with his family at museums and any outdoor activity. His hobbies include reading, cooking and traveling

I bought a Groupon for a cleaning here and ended up wasting my time and money ! I had to wait like 20 minutes even though I was on time for my appointment then after I’m finally settled in a chair the dentist tells me I need to see a orthodontist since I need braces therefore she couldn’t even clean them. So after I asked why not she said it wouldn’t fix my teeth up anyways and an exam was worth more than the $ 50 I paid so I should be happy I still got a deal. I didn’t want to waste my time arguing so I simply left. Never going back even if it were free.

They deserve a big zero score! Its a scam. I came fir my six month dental visit for a regular cleaning. But the Lady dentist told me i needed a deep cleaning for a few hundred dollars!. I said i dont think so my teeth just had some plaque. They regused to clean my teeth and sent me home. What kind of service is that??? SCAM — They wanted to get money off of my insurance. So you know what i did? I switched dentists right away! They cleaned my teeth and i didnot pay a dime! I went a home a satisfied patient and a happy camper :). bEWaRe! This also happened to a previous patient who wrote reviews too about this scam, but the dentist removed our previous posts!

Went here and had the same experience about refusing to do anything other then deep cleaning. Also had the dentist tell me he wanted to see me back in two weeks to «check» on my cleaning. He also told me I probably needed braces. I had braces for three years in my pre-teen years. I have never been back here.

Extremely frustrating. When I came in they asked for my insurance card and neglected to give it back to me. I didn’t realize until I had left. Two weeks passed before I had a chance to return to pick it up, no one from the office contacted me to let me know it was there that whole time. When I did pick it up I could see it clearly sitting in front of the receptionist at the front desk. I work in a medical office, we’re not in the business of collecting insurance cards. After two weeks of staring at my card no one thought to call or mail it to me? They are either utterly inept or the laziest staff I’ve ever seen. Won’t be back.

My son and I both have major anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. However, about 5 minutes into our appointment both of us were quite at ease. Dr. Tamkin and the hygienist were wonderful. My son wasn’t nervous, was able to watch TV & listen to his headphones. They did a great job at explaining what they were doing and why they were doing it. My son has to go back for some work and he isn’t worried at all. Which for me, as a mom… is so important!
I have found our permanent dentist! Thank you so much!

I wish I could give them a big fat O. They are just awful. Went in for a cleaning and they refused to do it. They would only do a deep cleaning, like one reviewer said. They are nasty and the Dr. should not be there with his nasty self. I left in tears and will never go back. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where they are kind and caring. I have never been to a office where they want a copy of your DL, SS# and a picture of you. I find this very odd. I don’t even think they can refuse treatment but they did me. Never ever again. I work in Villa Park for a large store with 100s of customers and will make sure that I tell not only all of the employees there but every customer I can not to go here. They should be ashamed how they treated me. Like another reviewer said its only about getting money from people and as much as they can. I feel that this place is a scam and should be reported. The one thing I left out was how the Dr. was almost yelling at me. BEWARE AND LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS

I’ve been switching from one dentist to another and after going for one visit here at Smile Dental, I have not switched. Mainly, because the dentist always gives me options and my care plan, and also the dentist will work on my teeth until the procedure he is working on is complete to his best ability. Unlike other dentist, they will quickly clean up in mid procedure because their next appointment is in. I enjoy coming here, and that’s rare to hear for a dental appointment. They really focus on their patients here and will ask you often if you feel pain.
During my root canal procedure, I felt a slight sense and the dentist immediately reacted to it to ease the pain. I’ve had root canals done at other locations before and this is the first place it felt like I was in there for a check up!
This place is clean. Their bathroom is maintained. The office looks brand new every time I walk in.
During my procedures you can watch tv or concerts they have on DVD.
The dentist also gives the option of coming in for emergency visits. Such as a cap falling off, or sudden pain from what he did. I’ve never had to come in, as he really takes the time to do it right the first time.
