The staff is helpful, friendly and professional. The facility is clean and there is never a wait. It has always been a pleasant experience.

Stephanie helped me open a package and recommend a lotion and which level I should try out. I have very fair skin so tanning is hard for me. She stayed much past close for me and answered every question I had. She doesn’t care about making a silly sale but really cares about pleasing her customers. I had an amazing experience and I’m very excited to tan.

This is the best run tanning salon i have ever attended. It is always ultra clean, the associates are always courteous and are meticulous in cleaning the beds after use. They apologize if a specific tanning bed is already occupied and always willing to provide information about products which are designed for specific types of skin/​results. Sarah is one of the very best associates! Bulbs are changed routinely and have never had a bad experience at this location.

Both phone and in person customer service was great. Ended up getting a plan a little more expensive than I originally planned on, but they did a great job explaining the benefits of the upgraded plan.

Unfortunately it seems not everyone here was trained by the same book. Some of the girls are very warm and fun to go see after work for a tan, others are extremely stuck up and barely look at you unless you buy something. Then and only then are they your friend for the day. Also, the beds aren’t consistent at all some being way more powerful than others that are classified as «the same». The whole place just seems fake.

The manager here is extremely condescending when you choose not to purchase something and the other girls just won’t let you tan without buying lotion pretty much. The store is clean but who cares when you dread the service people.

I was always a little unsure about going here at first but my daughter insisted it is the best and she was right! Super friendly staff. Very clean and the staff is very knowledgeable about their tanning packages, tanking beds and their products. Love that you can freeze your account during the months you don’t need or feel like tanning with the option to start back up when ready with no additional fees. Would definitely recommend and have to my fitness & family.

I really like this tanning salon. I go for a few months about once a year or so and this is the closest salon to my apartment. They have really nice beds and everything is always really clean. I was pretty impressed as I called once because I was curious about the spray tan and the girl on the phone talked to me for about 10 minutes and answered every question I had without being snobby, she was really nice and helpful.
Only reason why I give the 4 stars is 1– They’re prices are a little high. 2– I understand they make commission but to ask every time when I walk in the door how I’m doing on lotions and then trying to talk to me about some other service they offer is kind of annoying. I bought a face lotion from them (which is nice) but for $ 40 and that was a discount and unfortunately it feels like there’s absolutely nothing in the bottle. But sometimes I come to relax and not be bothered. But whenever I go I feel like I have to fend off their sales pitch which gets kind of old.

I had an awful experience here about one year ago. I purchased a spray tan and woke up the next day with no color at all. I have had the versa tan a number of times and it always had a distinct smell so I knew what to expect. I didn’t have the smell this time along with no color so I know there was no solution dispensed. I drove 30 minutes back to the salon and the girl accused me of lying for a free tan. She said I probably showered too soon. I told her I had not showered at all since receiving the tan and I was clearly white aals a ghost. She rolled her eyes and told me I would have to pay for another tan. I insisted she call her manager. She thebln called her manager in front of me and loudly said «there’s a lady here saying her tan didn’t take and of course wants a free tan now.» she was rude, pretentious and I would never again go back to this establishment.

Used to tan here last summer. Everyone here is super nice and helpful. Prices were too high though… And worst experience canceling from any salon I have been to. The UV free beds are kept in good condition, though. Staff: great Prices & Upper management: not

I’ve been tanning at this location for several years. I’ve seen the place literally shrink in size, people come and go, but the one thing that is consistent… The equipment. Whether or not you buy the products (that do make a difference) the one thing you can always count on is up to date equipment, with fresh bulbs! I wish you would add more locations already!

I’ve never had a bad experience here. All the girls are nice, friendly, and not too pushy. At the other location on Harlem by Harlem Irving Plaza the girls just don’t let up. It’s highly annoying. This one is great though.
When I do buy lotion they always have good products ranging in price. I recommend cypher, it’s pricey ($ 150 around) but the best and highest quality skin care. I’ve never paid more than $ 115 for it though due to the fact when you sign up they give you a huge discount plus countless promotions and coupons they email you.
Depending on which membership you have, which also ranges from $ 30-​$ 105 I think, you get rewards based on how long you’ve been a member. If you sign up with a friend or family member your membership is less. Almost like a family cell phone plan. Hahaha. The $ 105 membership is your best bet. You get the best rewards, coupons, promotions, and unlimited tanning and sunless tanning in any bed or mystic pro/​versa/​versa pro. You can bring a friend every Thursday to tan also up to whatever your membership includes.
I do the level 4 bed on the middle setting, for some reason it’s better the the highest setting (there’s three but I forget what they’re called). It’s a ten minute bed so I’m in and out. Thursdays I like to cocktail tan with that and the versa either level two clear or three clear both with the moisturizing after spray and a primer lotion they sell there for sunless tanning. That gets me pretty darn dark! Hahaha if you cocktail Friday you smell like spray tan at night and if you shower you stop the spray from fully developing. So Thursday is great, you’re really tan for the weekend but you don’t smell like death. Which, I don’t know about you, but I try to avoid that lol.
Only Con… I wish they had the versa pro machine. They have the solution but not the machine so it’s not too huge. I think there’s one in Carol Stream and one Downtown but I have yet to make the effort to drive to either. This one is just fine
1,000 times better than any other corporate/​chain/​franchise tanning salons, I’m not sure what they’re considered lol, in Chicago! (L.A. Tan, Ultimate Exposure, Planet Beach, XSPORT, etc.)

Been a member a couple months at the highest level and despite voicing concerns over issues. No changes have been made to my eye… Most likely will not renew my membership for next month.

I never write reviews but this time I have to… Well after being forced to come here since executive tan in carol stream converted to palm beach, it’s been a complete disaster. Not only is the staff pushy and overbearing but the gentlemen that works at this location actually told me to start tanning at LA Tan bc I purchased a bottle of lotion (for half the price) from LA. Also, their pricing changes depending on the mood you catch them in… One day the bottles at 25%, the next day they’re 10% the next day 30%… Same thing with the packages. The only reason I still go here is because it’s near to my house and I have a package.

First of all, a fingerprint to tan is totally ridiculous. Secondly, the staff was all super rude and pretentious. One girl was being very condescending and trying to say I shouldn’t tan in the bed I wanted and for the time I wanted. I’m aware of how it works and how i tan, I didn’t appreciate her rude input. If she was concerned in a helpful way I would’ve appreciated it, but she was actually extremely rude. They never seemed happy to be there or even faked it for the customers. Every time I went in they were complete brats. Not to mention the beds I used weren’t good at all. Thankfully, the only reason I went was because it was free! Thanks to the horrid staff I will not be back.

Paid close to $ 100 for the pro verspa tan with ZERO results. I was promised a refund by local store, approved by regional (supposedly) never received it!

I’ve had several different experiences here. The service varies from rep to rep greatly. One girl sold me 3 spray tans, and failed to mention the unlimited package which was waaay more affordable. Another failed to put in that I used Versa instead of Mystic and they were going to charge me extra to use a level 3 spray. I’ve only seen the most knowledgeable girl I worked with once. She gave me the right information to make an informed decision and didn’t charge me for another girl’s mistake. Great, friendly customer service from her, wish I remembered her name.
The salon itself is bright, clean and only seems busy when a line builds up at the register. They should staff two people instead of one, so one person can clean while the other checks people in. I’ve had both experiences where I have had to wait 10+ minutes, and where I’ve been sent in right away.
I am hooked on spray tanning because I can’t quite commit to putting myself in a tanning bed yet. I mainly spray tan for special occasions, this one being my wedding in Sept.
Speaking strictly to their Versaspa spray booths, I love them. A nice even tan that looks natural is what I consistently get with this service.
Some tips:
I recommend wearing flip flops, and then putting the disposable booties they provide over them. Yes, you will get tell tale lines on the top of your feet, No you will not get orange heels!
I use the amplifier prep gel before I go in, and see more consistent results.
I also make sure to pull my lips in before the spray hits my face so I don’t taste the solution.
When you’re facing backwards, keep your palms up so you don’t get spray on the palms of your hands, über unattractive.
Be careful using your own moisturizes, some have chemicals in them that will fade your tan, ask the sales rep what lotions to use, you don’t have to buy them there but you will be informed when you buy.
Make sure you are getting the best deal they have there, ask questions, check their website for deals, and definitely go with Versa over Mystic.

This is the cleanest, nicest tan salon I have ever seen. The rooms are spacious, towels are imprinted with their logo and they provide the eye goggles! I was given a through tour by the manager whose name unfortunately escapes me at the moment. I seriously can now not return to any other salon after now knowing what the standard should be! I did the mystic tan and was given a choice of many different «shades». The can was then selected and placed in the booth. It lasted longer and was even everywhere! DO NOT confuse this place with the run of the mill — «palm beach TANNING» salon I think they should sue this other company for obviously trying to hoard in on the reputation of this original company palm beach TAN. I would recommend Palm Beach Tan even if you have to go out of you way a bit to use it. It is that much better then all these other chains mom and pop shops you may have already used.
