What an incredible treasure. Linito is only going to grow, and suggest if you are in the market for a new, used, or need to fix your cycle to first go and introduce yourself to Tom.
As the other reviewer’s had mentioned, Linito is not like your typical cycle store. and that’s such a great thing. If you really want to wait longer than needed to get your cycle fixed, pay more than you need to, not get personal answers, and not walk away happy then definitely move along to one of the larger stores.
Tom was able to not only get my son his first Trek, but also reconditioned my Diamondback (which had been sitting in the corner of my garage for more than 5 years). The bikes worked awesomely all weekend, and looking forward to upgrading the rest of my family’s cycles. We also got a new seat, water bottle holder, and handlebar grips installed for cheaper than Walmart!
Only met Tom a week ago, and have complete trust. Strongly recommend!

I was looking for a bike repair place on Unilocal and happened across Linito Cycle, which is only about a block from my house. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but was so pleased with Tom’s knowledge, service, and attitude. I think that we have now found our bike guy for life!
I purchased a bike for my husband from Target at Christmas time. After riding a few times this spring, we became pretty concerned about what was going on with it — squealing, shuddering when stopping, clicking noises, you name it. We thought it may not be safe to ride, so set up a visit with Tom to have it checked out.
When you go to Linito, be aware that it is located in a residential neighborhood because Tom operates the business in his attached garage. So if it looks like you’re lost, you’re probably in the right place! He is right off of the Great Western Trail, so you can get to him via car or bike if you need, which is a pretty fantastic idea for a bike shop.
Tom took lots of time chatting with my husband to ascertain exactly what was going on with the bike. Though he offered to get us the bike back sooner, we ended up coming back about a week later to get it since weekends were most convenient. During the week, Tom had not only found the problem but did a total overhaul on all of the issues that this bike had. He still only charged us the $ 50 consultation fee, but to make a long story short the bike had been assembled completely wrong at Target. He fixed all of the issues, replaced the brake pads, and adjusted everything to fit my husband perfectly when he came to pick it up. We will definitely continue to use Tom’s services for any bike-​related issues we have in the future. Thanks Tom!

I was looking for a comfort seat and the shop closer to me was charging a whopping $ 40 for a comfort seat. I’m glad I didn’t impulse buy one there. After coming across Linito Cycle online I emailed them about pricing and installation. Tom responded promptly with prices ranging from $ 15 to $ 25 with a $ 10 installation charge. So even if I purchased the most expensive seat it would still be less! Set up a day and provided a very friendly service. I’d recommend to anyone look for bike repair or service. Just make sure to give him a call if you are stopping buy. He runs his service out of his home garage.

Discovered Linito Cycle last summer and had Tom do some repairs then. Just had Tom give my bike a tune-​up and put on new tires. His work is great and prices are less than what bike shops charge. Tom even picked up my bike at my home and then delivered it back to me. I’m moving from the suburbs to the city but Tom will remain my bike guy!

Tom is honest and stands behind his services 100%. His pricing is very fair and I couldn’t have been more pleased. I recommend Linito Cycle without reservation.

We had a flat inner tube on the Great Western Trail today. We gave this business a call even though they were listed as closed. Tom not only agreed to sell us a new inner tube, he actually came out to the trail, fixed the bike, and spot checked the bike for us. Fantastic service at an amazing price.

I have had bike assembling issues in the past. The bikes never fully felt right. I never had a bike that could smoothly break, shift gears, or feel optimally set for my body until now. I took my newest bike to Tom in hopes of finally having smooth, enjoyable bike rides. He assembled my bike with my body proportions in mind and he did some extra work to optimize the breaks and gears. His attention to detail is exceptional and he even pointed out an extremely minor factory defect that causes a barely visible rotational wobble in the rear wheel. He promised me free lifetime adjustments in case this ever caused any issues.
Overall, the bike feels great and it is a pleasure to ride it. Tom’s services were priced very fairly and I can genuinely vouch for his professionalism, diligence, and keen attention to detail. He even delivered the assembled bike to my house. It is hard to find people who treat their clients like family, but Tom is one of them.

To say that I had a great experience working with Tom on my bike is the understatement of the year. I just bought a Diamondback insight. I plan to ride it great distances (at least 20 miles per trip). I had no idea how to change a flat tire/​tube before today. Now I do. Not only that, Tom showed me how to properly lube a bike chain and other overall guidelines on bike maintenance. I cannot recommend his services enough. You simply will NOT get this kind of 1-​on-​1 attention in a big box store. If you’re in the western suburbs –or in Chicagoland in general– I urge you to set up a time to talk to Tom. You will walk away with a wealth of knowledge and peace of mind on the bike you own.

Very friendly, and helpful Tom was with me. Helped me out with my daughter bike and also gave me ideas how to get off training wheels. Would recommend to anyone that lives in west surburbs.

Both of my bikes hadn’t had much love and attention in the past few years, which is my fault. However, I decided to do a Triathlon and needed both tuned up to train. Tom was referred to me by a fellow runner/​friend. I called him and he came to my house to pick up the bikes! He was not only extremely knowledgeable about bikes, but also really a cool guy to chat with! He was honest about what he thought the price would be, and said if anything changed he would contact me and we could discuss. He did an AMAZING job on my bikes, I am now eager to get out riding, but also to share my experience. It’s not too often these days you get such personalized attention with honesty, he never tried to push any additional repairs/​parts either! I wish Tom and Lisa success in their business! I had a tire blow out on the Great Western Trail just a block away from Linito. I gave them a call and wheeled the patient right over. My tire was too far gone to repair on the spot, so Tom gave me a ride home! The next day he had the bike repaired and ready for pickup. The rates were quite reasonable, and he was very honest about my bikes condition and did not try and push any additional repairs one me. I replaced my old bike with a new (old) bike that Tom whipped right into shape. Truly great costumer service!

Thanks to Tom my 18 year old Trek now rides like the day I brought it home from the store, even after years of benign neglect on my part. He explained everything he did during his tune up and showed me how to prevent a few maintenance problems. We will be bringing all of our family bikes to Tom!

Tom provided great bike repair service and was very professional. He has very reasonable prices and he even picks up and drops off your bike to your home. He repaired my bike and it’s like new! I highly recommend!
