History
Established in 1989.
When Robert Van Staalduinen and his family purchased the land where the funeral home is today, there were trees, an old farmhouse, and a barn. Robert and his wife Elaine built and decorated the funeral home with the goal of creating a comfortable, home-like place where people could come during a difficult time.

Bob V.
Business Owner
Robert is the owner and first funeral director of Knollcrest Funeral Home. Bob is a graduate of the Worsham College of Mortuary Sciences, and he has worked at several area funeral homes. He and his wife Elaine built Knollcrest Funeral Home, and lived in the apartment above the home until their fifth child was born in 1997. Their oldest daughter works at the funeral home, their next two both attend college, and their youngest two girls live at their home in Oak Brook, IL.
