They are not the best pizza I’ve ever had — But they are the best pizza that I have had in Lombard, IL. I have gotten takeout from here on more than one occasion. I am giving them only 4 stars because I always have to wait for my pizza no matter when they tell me it will be ready. I understand that it is because they are ALWAYS busy. They have what I consider the best pizza in the immediate area. It is a decent value and the staff is always friendly even when they have 30 hungry people asking when their order is going to be ready. I have not tried any of the pastries that they sell. I am not a fan of their cheesy bread and stick just to the pizza since they do a good job with thin crust. Ingredients are fresh, sauce is good, and dough is decent.

Great pizza and great service. This is my go-to place for pizza. Only thing I will mention is your average wait time on a Friday or Saturday night is anywhere from an hour or more.

Pizza was soooooo good. A little pricey, but probably one of the best thin pizzas I’ve had. It was SUPER busy, so that tells you people will wait(I waited about an hour but it was halloween).

The pizza is definitely better then most anyone else in the area, that I have found. I found the crust and flavor very good, however I also thought it was very greasy. Now my biggest issue with this pizza place is that… #1– Who doesn’t have delivery these days in the Pizza biz? #2– The wait times to get a pizza are ridiculous! Now it is the food that keeps me wanting to keep trying it, but the service is killing it for me and has me searching elsewhere! I get that busy is a good sign they are doing something right, but I don’t want to wait an 1 ½ — 2 hours for a pizza I have to pick up! The money they are losing from this customer alone is a lot of money, because this customer loves his pizza!

Really good pizza! Generous on the toppings! One of the better places in Lombard. Wish there was delivery for those lazy nights Will come back

This is the best pizza in the Chicagoland area! This is the real original Chicago style pizza(not deep dish.) This is thin crust pizza that is distinctive and delicious. I only wish they delivered. But the pizza is so great people don’t even care about that!

I’m a regular at Gianorio’s Pizza in Winfield. They are on their annual vacation, but the owner of that location advised me that the Lombard location(which her brother runs) would be open. These are the only two locations, so I was pretty confident the product would be similar, unlike some pizza places(Rosati’s immediately comes to mind… they have several franchises and while some serve similar products, they are also different). I know that Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, etc. serve cookie cutter similar product; more the rule than the exception. Anyways, back to Gianorio’s of Lombard. My brother and I ordered our standard order: 12 inch stuffed cheese. The reason that we love Gianorio’s Winfield so much is the combination of sauce, cheese, and crust. The sauce is the star, but the cheese and crust are no slouch either. The Lombard location did not disappoint! They must use the same ingredients, because it tasted exactly the same… AMAZING! Truly the best Knife and Fork pizza around! I’m sure their thin and regular crusts are just as good, but I can’t speak on them. Gianorio’s Lombard has a bigger menu than the Winfield location. They are also open daily, and have different hours. Their menu features other sandwiches and appetizers, too! I’ll probably order from Gianorio’s Winfield since it’s closer to my house, but it’s good to know that there’s just as good of a product in Lombard!!! HIGHLYRECOMMENDEDFORDUPAGEPIZZA!

They say nothing is better than the original, and for my sake my original Gianorio’s is in Winfield. The Winfield location closew for vacation every year(well deserved), so we made the trek to see Keith(It think that’s the owner’s name) instead of Angie. Service was quick, efficient. Went with their stuffed for comparison to the Winfield stuffed. I regret not getting it last weekend when I tried Aurelio’s. It’s not like other places are bad. Gianorio’s Winfield AND Lombard are like God and Jesus.

This is my family’s go to pizza place. The crust is perfect, as well as the sauce and cheese! We always order pepperoni and mushroom so I have not had a chance to judge based on any other flavors. The price is also great. I would say A+!!!

Not bad. However they could work on their crust. Always support local pizza chains over the big name ones. Pizza feels like it is made with«love» unlike the other places. Cheese and sauce are beautifully blended but they certainly nickle and dime you for a pizza. Customer service is better than a Pizza Hut dominos etc. Had to take star off for limited hours. Not necessarily my to go pizzeria but definitely one the best locally and perhaps in the suburbs.

Ordered a pizza from here last night. Got the Angela special. After hearing all these rave reviews I was highly disappointed. It was a little pricey and not that great. The sauce was flavorless and the pizza was soggy. It wasn’t the worst pizza I have ever had tho. The guy who picked up the phone cousins comprehend the fact that I wanted mushrooms on half and broccoli on half and put broccoli all over the pizza. The amount of toppings and cheese was a lot! Probably won’t be back ever.

This is the greatest pizza place on the planet! I first ate here about 7 years ago, and ever since then the quality and consistency has been there every time. I reccomend asking for light sauce.

I like this place! This place is our«I don’t feel like super cheap pizza tonight» pizza place. Definitely is better than Pizza Hut. I will say their thin crust is the way to go. I just tried their double dough and it wasn’t quite as good as their thin crust. It’s pretty similar to a rosattis type pizza place. Same amount of sodium and grease in each square cut bite. Do not let the awful shopping center it’s located in scare you away from trying this place!

I don’t mind that it’s carry out only. They are pretty up front about that. My gripe is: I don’t see what the fuss is about. My pizza was ok, a little under cooked because of how soft it was in the middle. The sauce was average as was the dough. If I do order again, I’ll ask for it well done to ensure a better crust but honestly I don’t know if I want to try it again. I ordered it on a Friday around 6:30 and was given an hour and thirty minute wait time. I guess all the waiting hyped me up for this pizza and it could never live up to that expectation. I think there’s much better place to go around town but this certainly isn’t a bad place by any means.

Lived in Lombard nearly three years and finally got around to trying Gianorio’s.(In our defense, we live south of Roosevelt, and crossing Roosevelt can be a pain during the dinner hour.) But hey, our esteemed mayor’s family owns this place, so it can’t be too bad, right? This is a little take-out only place; they don’t deliver because they don’t need to. They’re popular enough as it is. We kept it simple: a 16″ cheese on the regular crust. The crust is thin but still kinda bready, with a puffy«handle». It has a nice bit of crisp to the underside, but is mostly on the yeasty-chewy side. The sauce had some garlicky notes and wasn’t very sweet(which is fine with me). The cheese was pretty quality, very tasty, broke pretty well. Little greasy, but I’m not complaining. In short, it was a very tasty pizza and I would gladly order from them again, but I wouldn’t say it was my absolute favorite. I have a slight preference for a crispier, thinner crust and would say Skuddlebutt’s or Angelo’s has a slight edge. But don’t get me wrong — Gianorio’s is very good pizza.

A must anytime you’re near the west suburbs area of Chicago. Easily the best pizza around for thin and regular crust. Everything is hand made and prepared to order. The staff is friendly and service is prompt. Great traditional sauce with a hint of garlic and not too sweet. Quality mozzarella cheese and toppings… they don’t skimp either like some places do. The extra thin crust is still a decent thickness… it is not a cracker crust. Holds up well to the toppings.

I loved deep dish and stuffed crust pizzas. I get why people like thin crust, but when I think ‘MEAL” and pizza, I want something that makes me think, ‘I *really* should not be eating this…”. Gianorio’s kills me at this. A 12″ stuffed Gianorio’s classic pizza weighs roughly ten pounds, and probably runs 5000 calories a slice. And is sooooo worth it. Hands down the best stuffed pizza in Lombard(altough I know some weirdos prefer the cornmeal crust on Giordano’s pizza as opposed to the thick bread crust on Gianorio’s). The only thin crust I’ve tried was the Blanco, and it was fantastic. And the foot-wide calzone that is as large as most medium pizzas was one of the best calzones Ive had. This place is not good for your waistline(or maybe your wallet), but you will happily be in a cheese/tomato/bread coma afterwards. Expensive. Doesn’t deliver. Takes 15 minutes longer to cook than they tell you on the phone(at minimum!). Still my first choice in pizza in Lombard everytime.

I’m a pizza fanatic and have tried it from all over both thick and thin. This thin crust pizza which is unlike what most people think of when they think Chicago style pizza. It’s extra thin and I will honestly tell you all I opened a Unilocal account just to write this review. It is hands down the best pizza I have ever had in my life, period. These cheese, the perfect thin crust, the seasoning in the awesome sauce to the flavor filled hard pepperoni and sausage will turn your taste buds into instant addicts for the next bite. I’ll tell you now, if you don’t order from them it’s your loss. Feel free to drop me an email cause I’ll call you personally to tell you how much I enjoyed this pizza while working late on the road during business.

I have tried many pizzas here and have decided it’s just not for me. I have a hard time with how expensive it is, and this weekend we ordered three pizzas for a party and it cost us $ 70 and they would only take the $ 1 off coupon. Frustrating. The thin crust pizza is good. I like the stuff they put on the bottom of the crust– it’s tasty and unique. We used to love the spaghetti and meatballs pizza but the taste has changed and I no longer like it. Not sure what changed– maybe the cheese? We tried a stuffed pizza and pan pizza this weekend. They looked almost the same and the crust was not crisp but kind of soggy. Not what I usually think of when I think of stuffed pizza or pan pizza. It was not buttery or cornmeal-ish like some other local places’ crusts. It was not great. Out of the two, I preferred the pepperoni stuffed pizza, which I think had an extra layer of crust between the cheese. The sauce and pepperoni had good flavor but I did not like the crust. It seemed like most of our group agreed– most people left the crust on their plates. Also, though we picked up our pizza on time(actually a few minutes early) the pizza was quite cold by the time we served it(about 10 minutes after we picked it up). I wonder how long it had been sitting there. Overall, I wish I liked this place a lot more than I do. I just don’t think it’s worth the price anymore. Fortunately a lot of people will keep them in business even if we don’t go back so I’m glad for that for them!
