Just moved to Loganville Ga from Florida and at first I was a bit skeptical about finding a good Chinese place around here, until I decided to try Grand China… So glad I stop here the food was amazing everything I order was outstanding from the wonton soup, egg drop soup the eggs rolls, the fried rice the portions are big. Very happy that I live 6 minutes away lol.

I have read so many negative reviews about the service, and while our service has never been terrible, less than stellar service is something I’m accustomed to with many fast food Chinese restaurants. It’s honestly something I kind of expect when ordering Chinese delivery. We have never actually been inside, we’ve only ordered delivery, and we probably do so 1 – 2 times a month. They are always very fast and short on the phone, and always show up to my door with a 2 liter of soda that we didn’t order… I think they give them away free with your order. The food is your typical Chinese. It’s nothing to write home about and it satisfies the craving. I’ve tried many, many things, and there are things that we now avoid, like the Moo Goo Gai Pan, which is very bland. I like the Seafood Delight and the House Lo Mein is good. Delivery service is typically extremely fast. We live on Rosebud and Temple Johnson and it’s rare for the food to take longer than 20 minutes.

First I ordered online at 2:30pm to be delivered at my house at 7:30pm. They called me at 3:30pm saying the driver is there where am I? Then when 7:45 comes around I call them to ask where my order is. A guy immediately puts me on hold & I hear a lot of screaming in Chinese in the background. Then a woman picks up & she says they’re very busy & promises my order will be here soon. She didn’t even ask my name or what I ordered. It finally gets there at 8pm. I ordered General Tso’s chicken, sweet & sour chicken, & some lo mein. The lo mein was bland. They used frozen veggies in the fried rice. My general tso chicken was spicy but had a weird taste. I can’t say anything about the S&S since it was my husbands. The egg roll was good. We got 3 fortune cookies but only one had a fortune in it.

It is always a treat to eat Grand China’s food. From their fried rice to their lemon pepper wings(which are better wings than most dedicated wing places around) Grand China always produces food above and beyond what you expect from a take out restaurant. They will always deliver your food sooner than the time they quote you on the phone no matter how busy they are. The food always arrives hot and I’ve only had a problem with an order once in all the years I’ve been ordering from them. That one problem was a forgotten soda, which they apologized for and gave me a free one in addition to the one I paid for to make up for it. They make better fried rice than other places. It isn’t just the carrot and pea rice you have grown to expect from chinese take out places. They make lemon pepper wings that put dedicated wing restaurants to shame. The beef fried rice and lemon pepper wings are my favorites, but all their food is great. Their portion sizes are nice and prices reasonable. If you have not tried Grand China you are missing out on the best chinese take out in Gwinnett.

Had to give an update: I placed an order online for my regular meal. I set it for 930 and I left work later than expected. I arrive at 1010 and dude is eating my food. The guy who works there! Why ask for my phone number if you won’t call to validate my order! And then you still charge me?! I’m done here. I’ll get Chinese food from somewhere else from now on.

really great ‘fast food chinese’. Everything is always made quickly, is tasty, and won’t break the bank. We ordered the small size of chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and curry chicken, and the whole order was fifteen bucks. Not to mention the small size was still very generous and was more than enough for two meals for two people. They are also open pretty late for the area so if you want something later at night that isn’t taco bell, this is a great choice.

Sad. Took over fifteen minutes for a very simple order. I ended up having to leave, pick us my kid and come back. I counted on a brief experience and didn’t get it. That is one of the lures of Chinese food places like this — ease and speed. Absolutely no apologies for the time even when I said I was leaving and would have to come back because it was taking so long. Ordering was difficult. The person taking my order had difficulty understanding what I wanted. Could have been a language barrier. Sad.

It really saddens me to give this place three stars because they have satisfied my craving for Chinese Food many times in the past. Not to mention they have traditionally had really good food in the past; however, that was the past, and this is… well… obviously now. The last time that I ordered take out from these guys my egg rolls were really undercooked, and maybe a little, expired. Now I am in in no way, shape or form an «egg roll expiration date professional evaluator» or anything, but these egg-rolls had to have been done with their time on the edible earth. So, the expired egg-roll gave me the luxury of going back up to the place and explaining the situation to the manager, so that I could get another batch, or worst case scenario my money back. Not only did he not initially believe me, he initially told me, «You take it home, you bought it.» After arguing my case for a couple of minutes he saw things my way, but I don’t think I’ll be ordering takeout from here for a while.
