Wet Ink Photography

The short version: I could not be happier with our decision to hire WetInk Photography (Maarten and Susie) for our wedding and engagement photos. The pictures are fantastic and the husband-​wife duo were professional, warm, and a pleasure to work with. I highly, highly recommend their service!
The long version:
I was first drawn to them based on their website; they have a beautiful gallery and all of their prices are listed upfront. Their price list is clear and straightforward, and in our experience we received a lot of bang for our buck.
The photographers: I felt comfortable and confident with Maarten and Susie from our first consultation. They brought samples of all of their products and I felt like they truly listened to me and understood my vision. I remember feeling completely confident leaving our first meeting. They were also great about communicating; throughout the entire process I was always able to easily get in touch, either by email, phone, or text.
The service: For our engagement photos we felt like they went above and beyond the call of duty. They allowed us to lead the way and get many different types of shots with a variety of backgrounds and styles, but they were always quick to jump in with professional advice on how to improve the staging/​posing. My husband and I both felt comfortable and enjoyed the experience.
On the day of the wedding Maarten and Susie were a total calming presence. They worked our family like magic, capturing all of the various groupings and pairings we wanted. I had provided them with a list of photos I wanted to get and they nailed them all! I was surprised that I never noticed them during the ceremony, especially considering all of the great shots they got. They never felt intrusive or distracting.
I was impressed with how Maarten responded to one of my vendors who was unexpectedly difficult. Our venue threw a curveball days before the wedding, requiring additional insurance (i.e., money) from WetInk that was not indicated in the contract. I heard about the problem after the fact from our venue coordinator, and it sounded like a total hassle. Maarten took care of it and never mentioned it to me or involved me with the snafu. I was blown away by his professionalism in this context and his consideration in not adding stress to the situation.
The product: We adore the photos we received from both the engagement shoot and our wedding day. They are exactly what we hoped they would be. The wedding albums turned out great and the custom case/​flash drive is so much more than we expected. 10/​10, five stars, two thumbs up!

A month before our wedding, our photographer bailed out on us. Fantastic! NOT! Dear friends of ours recommended we call Maarten and Susie. We met at Starbucks and ended up talking for a couple of hours! This couple is so easy to talk to. I have to say Susie has the gift of gab but she is cute and funny so it’s ok! We told them what happened and what we wanted and made a down payment. BOOM! We only had that one meeting but we felt pretty good about our decision. A month later is when we saw them again on our wedding day. They were early and dressed well. I left it entirely up to them to shoot whatever, however they want. I was too stressed and and tired to think all about it! The best thing about Maarten and Susie is that they came through for us and gave everything they got and more! We knew they were there but they were not imposing. They stayed beyond their max hours of service and just made sure they covered everything. When we got the photos, we were blown away! Maarten is so efficient with the post-​wedding stuff. They were even able to make our thank you cards which was super duper cute. We are truly impressed. We ordered an album which came in the mail — that was really nice. Also ordered 2 additional wedding albums for our parents at a discounted rate that Maarten was able to extend to us, and also got an e-​album, and a DVD. The fee for their service and package is so worth it!!! We can’t thank you enough. Definitely going to recommend!!!

I used Wet Ink for my family photos and they came out great! Not only did they have great experience with getting my 2 year old to sit and pose but they made it fun for all of us! They took their time and didn’t rush us. I would definitely use them again for future photos. Very professional photos at a great price. Thanks Wet Ink!

Wet Ink did an amazing job on our family photos! We were so impressed with them and the quality of the images. We were able to book the appointment with ease, and they really took their time in photographing us. They had great ideas for pictures and overall it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting photography services. Prints were also inexpensive and came very quickly.
