This Pep Boys has consistently provided great service for me since I’ve moved to NJ. I prefer this location over the Pep Boys in Verona and Hasbrouck Heights even though they are closer. The customer service and honesty at this location is much better. Thanks Gary and everyone else there.

Great service and great and patient manager. Having had surgery recently, I was lax in getting some work done on my car. HAD to leave because I was having some pain. John followed me and asked if I was alright, explained quickly and he set up an appointment for me to come back. Upon my return the repairs were quickly handled, for a fair price and I was on my way.

I’ll be the first to tell you that it’s hard to find good mechanics, especially ones that aren’t intentionally trying to rip you off. I do as much of my own work as possible but some things can’t be done without a lift. David Alvarez runs the store and is top notch, always looking out for your best interest. I’ve almost always been very happy with the service and communication from this store.

Addendum to 2÷26÷2015 Review of PepBoys in Lodi
Prior to leaving the service facility, I asked that the oil change service sticker show 5,000 miles for my next oil change. Management refused this request and showed, instead, a 7,500 mile interval for my next oil change. I’ll ignore the sticker and have my oil changed, as usual, at 5,000 miles, elsewhere.

I brought my car here after a negative experience from the Toyota dealership I had previously had my car serviced by for years… long story short the dealership changed management and after a very stressful attempt to even schedule an appointment for routine maintenance, I was told while waiting during the servicing that my 06′ Corolla with 75,000 miles needed a new fan belt, AC compressor and alternator… even though the car was working fine prior to bringing it in for service. I was skeptical about the ‘problems’ my car had and decided to get it towed
for a second option. Pep boys did a great job not only showing me the things that Toyota had told me needed servicing were completely fine and in great working condition, they charged me more than half what Toyota would or charged me for regular maintenance too. Happy to have found an honest garage I can trust !

Went for oil change per coupon. Told 30 – 40 minutes. Came back 40 minutes later and car was never taken in. I was told the «guy» was still out for lunch. It was 4pm. And this was for an oil change. I took keys and left. Never going back.

Had some major brake problems on a Saturday night. Angelo got me an appt. early Sunday. He was nice enough to drive to get the pads himself. Also, the mechanic slapped on some new callipers and rotors and I was good to go. The boys were «down to earth» and very helpful. They gave me some decent prices too. I would recommend very highly!

I HATE dealing with all issues related to my car. But i feel a little better after going to this Pep Boys.
Ray who essentially runs the shop is extremely thorough, professional, and honest. i have had to make a couple repairs on my car recently and i came away impressed with the detail and concern he showed for my car and with the fairness of the prices.
