History

Established in 1984.

Started by a local business man Mardee Kidd, for the breeding of thoroughbreds, started boarding in 1984, with layups from the racetrack, then in 1987 our first boarder for pleasure riding. She is still here after 24 years.

Started horses shows in 1995, Dressage, hunter jumper, schooling shows

Expanded facility several times, to where we are today with many large paddocks, pastures and stalls with paddocks, 4 arena’s, round pen, trailing riding. Three trainers, several clinics

Sounds a lot but we pride ourselves in maintaining a safe relaxed atmosphere, which is important to our clients who look forward to a relaxing time with their horses after a busy day at the office.

Simon T.

Manager

Originally form England, Simon, married and settled here in Lodi over 30 years ago.

Hired to care for the owners breeding stock of twenty horses, has spend the past 29 years building Mar Val Stables to its current state.

Where he and his wife, Nannette care for over 70 horses, along with the help of Ramon and Fernando
