Lodi Quick Smog offers Emissions Testing services in the Lodi and Greater Stockton area. We are a Star Certified station and are certified inspect all vehicles, including Out of State, Star Certified, Change of Ownership, or DMV Directed.

This place was fast. As long as there wasn’t a line out the door. It failed and had to b re tested. The guys told me why it failed and gave me paperwork to fix the problem. There was only one guy running the shop. I’ll b back. They have a tv in the waiting room.

Painless expreience and they offered a discount with check-​in. We were the only ones there for a test and it took about 10 minutes. Was glad the car passed. We had a car that failed a visual a couple years ago (no CARB sticker on aftermarket air cleaner) got the sticker and they retested for free. This is an unfortunate and expensive ritual California makes you go through every other year. Lots of places in Henderson for $ 9.95 but the test is totally different. You wonder how some of the mosquito machines (& diesels) ever pass any kind of test. I like that they transmit the results electronically and you just cruise over to DMV, pay your fees and pickup your sticker (after 90 minute wait, topic for another time.)

Had to wait about 40 minutes but passed.
I did not like that I was bringing in my car and happened to have my boyfriend with me and that the staff seemed to direct their attention/​comments to him just because he is a male. It was clear I was the one there for the smog check and that it was my car. I don’t care for that BS.
Unless they have a better priced deal running, I will probably try another place next time.

This was my first time there. I had a check engine light on. I didn’t know that when you have a check engine light on, you WILL NOT pass the smog check. They took my car and hooked it up. It failed. He tells me I need to fix the check engine light problem and come back. I take my car to Nissan and there I was told that a reputable place would have told me that I would never pass with the light on and not charge me a fee or run the test. I had the $ 10.00 off online coupon and paid $ 40.00 to be told to fix the check engine light.
I was very angry when I was told that I was taken advantage of. I went back to them and told the lady behind the counter that I felt l was robbed and I felt like the guy doing the work knew it. I told her I felt that I had already paid for the test and I felt that they should run the test again at no charge. They agreed to do that, I did pay the $ 10.00 fee for the certificate.
In the end I got the test done for a total of $ 50.00 but I also walked away feeling that this place was a bit shady and I will be looking for some place else next time.

I’ve been here a few times with three different vehicles. My first two cars I didn’t have a problem with, they were older cars that just needed to pass smog and they passed no problem. Happy, glad to return because it’s quick and to the point. However with the third vehicle we do have a small issue. Our check engine light came on 2 days after we got it smogged and it was an emissions code. We were nervous that it was something this shop did so we went back to talk to the guy. He talked with us after making us wait for 30 mins! Was NOT happy about that since the women at the desk said it would be one minute.
Also, he wrote down on our paper that our tire pressure was at 35 PSI. Our tires were not at that level. I don’t know if he just looked at them and threw a wild guess, or if he actually tested them, but either way you slice it the number was not correct.

Not bad, I was done in 30 minutes and there was a $ 10 coupon on their website. A tv inside would be nice but that’s just me. Oh, I passed my inspection by the way if you were wondering… Wooohoooo!

Amazing how quickly 2 years pass. Yes it’s time for the State mandatory smog check in order to get my car registered. Always a painful chore for me, 2 years before that the tech never showed up for my 8am appt, 4 years before that it took over 2 hours of waiting, even with an appt.
So when I saw a new smog station opened near the Midas shop on Central and Kettleman with 2 bays, I was happy to check them out. I was in and out in 11 mins, yes that’s not a typo, 11 mins flat. I didn’t even have time to read the magazine I picked up in their comfortable waiting room. The service was friendly and efficient and they even parked my car right in front of the waiting room door so I could make a quick exit to rush home and write out that check to the DMV,(just so that I can legally drive my car, lol)
Anyway, great service, new clean shop, gave me a $ 10 coupon discount. If it’s time for that dreaded smog check, now is the time to check out this new place before they start getting really busy.
