History

Established in 1995.

Hiers Go-Ju Ryu was founded in November, 1995 under Sensei Chris Hiers, an affiliate of Tibons Go-Ju Ryu. Since Chris started training he has always had a deep passion for martial arts. After years of learning, and rigorous training he decided to open up his own Dojo. His goal to pass down the extensive knowledge he has gained over years of training and competing. Since then, Hiers Karate has been a staple in Lodi. Known for the high quality self-defense training, his excellent instruction of young children, and the trademark smile you’ll receive from Sensei Chris as you walk through his doorstep.
