My first visit was okay. The second made me realize i didnt need to go back.
Like everyone else says, there is one heck of a wait time. In that time, i observed every patient that was called in before me, left with a mark from a biopsy. (Could be normal in a dermatologist office i guess) When it came time for my apointment for a rash on my forearms, i told him the cream he prescribed didnt work. So he asked if I’d be willing to do a biopsy. At the time, i said no due to the fact i was a week out of a knee surgery and wasnt up to more pain at the moment. On the drive from Lodi back to home in Manteca, I started thinking that a biopsy for a rash after only trying one cream was kind of overkill. I think there should have been some other test before a biopsy was requested.
The rash turned out to be a severe allergic reaction to a prescription i had been on. Glad i never opted for the biopsy.

The tattoo removal, if I remember correctly, was years ago in a new method of laser targeting and breakup of bits of dye, though only worked well with dyes of certain color or dark. I have not noticed any of the tattoo for a long time now, all that wasn’t removable was the green eyes of the tattoo which were a color the doctor warned would not be removable at the time, at least by that method. Adding a photo of the arm where it was done in 2007, ran across his business card appointment card in old stuff.

Had an appointment with Dr. Khourdaji to remove and check some questionable areas on my face, neck and scalp. When he came in he told me to show the area on my scalp that needed to be looked at. He wanted the exact area. Unfortunately I don’t have eyes that can see the top of my head so he had to take the time to look himself; I then showed him my areas of concern, one of which was on the R side of my neck. He then got out the liquid Nitrogen and proceeded to treat the areas. (Liquid nitrogen literally burns the skin and if not used right can cause scarring if too much is used) I am not a pansy but it caused a high degree of pain and I had to hold my breath. He kept telling me to breath and it wouldn’t hurt. Excuse me but a doctor who has been practicing as long as he has knows differently. He evidently didn’t care how much pain he caused. When I got home I had a bloody area on the left side of my face and the right side of my neck. And the real kicker was that he didn’t even treat the area on my neck that was shown to him at the beginning, but treated an area right below it.
Will I ever go back to this «doctor». I DON’T THINK SO !!!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Abdallah Khourdaji since the early 90s. Being a fair haired, lightly completed person working an outside job it only took about 10 yrs for the sun to do is damage to my hands, arms, face, and head (been shaving my head since the 80s). He is very professional with a great bedside manner. He is very thorough. Thus he is extremely busy. He will spend as much time with you making sure your questions and concerns are answered. He is in and out a couple of times while his assistants get items ready for any treatment you need. Being so busy, here’s how a normal office visit goes.
1) You get there, like me, in plenty of time for your selected time. You check in and then find a seat. Because he’s soo busy, a 30+ minute wait time is not unusual.
2) You’re called into the exam room and his assistant checks you in and checks with you what your concerns might be for your visit. She leaves the room and within 5 minutes (in 25 yrs I’ve never waited over 8 – 10 mins) Dr Khourdaji comes in and since you’re probably a regular asks how you’ve been. He looks at you file to refresh himself about past treatments then starts looking at you body parts while asking if there’s any concerns or anything new. After his exam be tells his assistant what he wants/​needs for your treatment and then tells you he’ll be right back. I know that he’s going into the next patients exam room to do the same thing he’s done with me. *how else can you treat all of your paients*
3) Usually by the time his assistant brings all the items he wants, he comes back in and does the treatment. After a few minutes he’s done and determines when he wants to see you again.
That’s it, you’re done.
One time I had something on my chin that kept coming back. Because I have a goatee, it wasn’t visible. So I asked him to look at it and he said that he was going to take a biopsy (a piece of it) to send to the lab to see if it was something to be concerned about. Once he saw what it was, he removed it completely, feeling me that he knew what it was and took it out to save me a visit later to have it removed. It was still sent to the lab for checking just to be sure, but he saved me having to go thru the removal again. Plus it saved me money as well.
So, Dr Abdallah Khourdaji is a great Dermatologist and I highly recommend him to everyone. Just make time the day youre going to see him cuz he’s so very busy. Just think that if he wasn’t so good, then why is he so busy. There are plenty of Dermatologists in the area yet he’s the busy one. And had been since I’ve been seeing him beginning in the early 90s.
REMEMBER, you’re gonna have to wait for 20 – 40 minutes to see him. But it’s worth it. Just make enough time in that days schedule.

If I could give negative stars I would. I received a voicemail with my appointment day and time. I called back to confirm. Today I show up half hour early to said time of 1 pm. The gal at the front window tells me my appointment isn’t until 3. Now I’ve wait 3 months for this appointment that I don’t even get to be seen. Drove 1.5 hours, for her to tell me I could wait until 3 to be seen… as a single mother I had to arrange for care for my child to make this appointment, to be told I have to wait? Get it together California. DO NOT GO HERE.

The Dr himself is wonderful, but the lady at the window is rude and not friendly at all! I had my appointment rescheduled 3 times once for the dr not being in that day and the second the wait time was too long, then on the third time I show up and she says are you sure I rescheduled you for today your not in the system! So she tried to reschedule me for another day and I said no because my appointment is today she said he can’t see you! So I said forget it I don’t want to come in anymore and her being so cold and rude just gave me a look and said OK! She didn’t apologize or anything! Dr khourdaji if you read these reviews you really need to replace her! She has no people skills at all she is terrible!

The wait is way too long for anyone but especially for someone with children. I was referred by my dr and will be telling him to not refer anyone there. I waited so long to see the dr for 5 mins. I was shocked. Thankfully my insurance changes soon and I will be able to go to someone who values my time.

The office staff aren’t as bad as many portray them to be. The one problem I do have is the LOOOOOOONG wait times… oh well, the Dr. is pretty nice, along with his staff. The 2 stars only shines on the Dr. and staff alone. The 3 lost stars come with the wait. I know many doctors «cluster schedule,» but that makes the office seems slow and unorganized…

Office manager is terrible! I will never go back due to her alone. One start is too many.

I have absolutely never heard of such a ridiculous policy as not allowing a sibling into the office for a doctors appt. Especially when the sibling is 8 years old. We drove from Elk Grove to Lodi for a doctors appt with Dr. Abdallah for my 12 year old. When we arrived at the office the receptionist said my 8 year old could not go in. Did she expect us to leave him in the waiting room alone? I think not. Did she expect our 12 year old to go into her appt alone? I think not. So, we left. Cancelled the appt. Thank goodness our insurance is changing Jan1 and we can go see a family friendly dermotogist near us! Customer Service is KEY to ANY industry.

Going to see Dr. Kourdaji is a terrible experience. I was thoroughly shocked to see that he actually had 2 good reviews on Unilocal.I’ve given Dr. Kourdaji 2 chances but never again. His staff are rude, there’s a sign posted when you walk in stating that you should expect to wait 45 minutes even though you scheduled an appointment. Im pretty sure he books 3 – 4 people for the same time slot. Both times I’ve been there I’ve waited approximately an hour after my scheduled appointment time to see him and both times he’s spent no more than 5 minutes of his time with me. I suspect that he purposely overbooks and has his patients wait at least 45 minutes to an hour in his waiting room so that he can bill for an hour evaluation. His skin cancer screenings are not very thorough. He just glances over you quickly, he didn’t use a dermascope to examine my moles during either visit. when I called Dr. Kourdaji’s office to express my dissatisfaction with his service… he billed me $ 165 for 5 minutes of time anyway. The manager was not friendly or empathetic at all… it honestly seemed like she has to listen to a million complaints about the doctor all day long. It felt like she was trying to blow me off, she told me she’d call back once she figured out how they would resolve the issue but she never did.

A excellent dermatologist. Very soothing bedside manner. I’ve ben going to Dr. K for dermo problems since 1998. He is a terrific doctor. I wish he was my everything doctor. For cysts, moles, or any skin problems and consultation, give him a call.

I have been seeing Dr. K for a few years now but I don’t know what I would do without him. I’ve had these skin problems that come and go. My previous dermatologist won’t listen to me and just gave me these prescriptions that did not work. Dr. K is very compassionate and helpful. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good dermatologist.

I wish I could leave zero stars, but that’s not an option.
I was referred to this dermatologist by my doctor’s office. My appointment was originally scheduled for May 10^th, more than 4 months later. Ridiculous but I understand that it happens with some specialists. I had to move my appointment up for personal reasons and called three times. Two of my messages were never returned. The third time I called I finally spoke with someone who rescheduled my appointment. I asked her how long the appointment would take and she told me I’d be in and out in an hour easily.
Cue today’s appointment. I arrive on time and sign in. I notice that they have several appointments set for the same time and am a little concerned. I ask the woman at the counter if I need to fill out any paperwork because I’m a new patient. She says they’ll call me back up to the counter.
24 minutes go by before they call me back to the counter to fill out paperwork. I have no idea how with 5 people behind the counter it takes them 24 minutes to hand me a stack of blank forms that should be ready and waiting.
While picking up the forms I ask the woman how long I could expect this to take. She tells me 45 minutes, and that there’s always a 45 minute wait. So 24 minutes plus 45 minutes is an hour and 9 minutes before they even call me back into a room. That exceeds the «in and out in an hour» that I was told before. I hand the forms back and tell her that I can’t stay. I let her know that I was quoted less than an hour for my appointment time. She apologized and asked if I wanted to reschedule. Totally not an option.
So in short, a giant waste of my time. And it sounds like a giant waste of every patient’s time. If you have more than an hour to wait in a crowded waiting room where they’re pushing every dermatological product imagineable, go for it. But if that doesn’t sound like a good use of your time, I’m guessing there’s another dermatologist in town.
