Dear God, stay away. This no-tell-motel is seedy, old, poorly maintained, poorly furnished that screams out«was someone murdered here last night?» The literal haunted house amusement park next door with banshee shrieks in the night and morning did little more to alleviate that fear. But the worst of all is that these guys had the nerve to charge nearly $ 150 per night in October for this gross hole of a motel. I’d have bumped up a star if you got what you paid for but no, this place was a RIPOFF. If you can avoid it, do yourself a favor and find a different establishment.

Avoid if you can afford to. This place is a run down hotel from the 60’s. The rooms smelled funky and I didn’t even attempt to sleep under the covers. Also we went in the middle of August on a Saturday and the place was a ghost town.

I stayed one night with my 2 adorable sons as a weekend get away. The Hotel is located right in front of the beach, which gives you the choices of enjoying the pool or the beach across the street. The staff is very pleasant, it looks like a family run business. There is no luxury here, if you are the type that is difficult to please you won’t like this place. I don’t look for too much, I liked it because is a simple place and it was clean. In the morning we hit the pool and had a blast, Sunday morning 9: AM no one was there, me and my kids had the pool to ourselves till like 11:00AM when a few people came into the pool area. Right next to the hotel there is a very nice Mexican restaurant and if you walk to the right, the street is full of great businesses, bars, an Amusement park for children and teens, and a great Greek restaurant. When I am having so much fun, I can not remember the names of all the places… lol. if you take a walk, you will discover all those places.

Don’t do it… I had to stay there one night because of problems with my movers… I would have been more comfortable if I would have set up a tent in my new backyard…

I recently spent a night at The Tides. Now I bet this place was SWINGING40 years ago. Shame they have no updated since. The room was TINY and neglected. Never did get the free internet to work. The staff was super nice and as helpful as they could be. The hotel is literally across the street from the water and next door to what looks like the most amazing mini-golf course ever! CHEAP. Under $ 100 a night on Long Island! The area was a ghost town when I was there but it was early April and the off season.
