Best egg sandwiches around. Always delicious and over overstuffed heroes. Corn tortilla soup is awesome. You can always smell the bacon outside from a block away in the mornings! Love this deli. Possibly the best deli in all of New York.

The best deli I’ve ever been to. The most delicious wraps, sandwiches and salads. Great selection of all kinds of snacks, chips, gluten free cookies and baked good.

A leisurely ride for desserts and wine took a turn for, what seemed like, a long lost afternoon deep in the rolling roads of the North shore. My mind was fixed on shopping at Johns Farms by way of local roads and— into the deep unknown I plunged. Sleep deprived and hungry after a full night prior of craziness in Manhattan I set off back to Plainview with no signal on my GPS. Immediate rations were needed desperately to resume food procurement operations and within a New York minute to my left appeared Country Delicatessen. Not a small deli by any means, I slowly strolled the counter, with 16 ounce Chocolate Raspberry coffee in hand, peering inside, reading every label, examining every dish. Streamers hanging from the ceiling of red, white, silver and blue spoke to a year round, proud, small town Americana. The prepared quinoua, had more variations than I’ve ever seen — the salads from egg to lobster were beautifully plated and we’ll presented, stacked symmetrically in rows of three. Dry wash boards above and behind the counter gave way to specialty sandwiches and soups that would excite interest from miles around. But as the hour was early, hot pastrami wasn’t on my mind, eggs bacon and cheese were. I’m here to report that the sandwich was absolutely delicious. A symphony of perfectly combined ingredients, all melted and cooked together to perfection. Can a bacon, egg and cheese be that noteworthy? Yes it was. Yes it was. Yes it was.

Went here specifically to try the lobster roll since they had the sign outside and trying lobster rolls across the try state area is our job. Very friendly staff. Lobster roll in the $ 17 price point not bad. Lobster salad on a slightly buttered hot dog roll. Would have gotten ½ point higher claw rating if they used potato roll but they still get a very solid 7 claw rating. Was a tasty roll

Simply put, this is one of the very best delis I’ve ever been in. Small but packed with delicious specialty food, drink and snacks. They also carry as many organic and locally made products as possible. When you hear the word«deli» you wouldn’t really associate it with health– unless you know this one. Another nice thing is that the owner, Artie Stein can often be seen working along side his employees, who BTW are clearly treated like family and super friendly. Last but certainly not least, Artie Stein has recently personally raised over $ 35,000 for the Gift of Life, a charitable organization providing life saving surgury and medication to children suffering with heart disease all over the world. So when you eat here you’re not only getting fantastic high quality food, but you can feel good about dropping your money into such generous hands.

Great menu. Lots of sandwiches and salads and a decent beer selection for a small store. Better than stop and shop or anywhere else on long island. Small and a bit crowded. The same person who takes your order also makes your food which is good.

I got forced into this deli starving while my son was wrestling at Covert Fitness in Locust Valley. Now I know Deli’s are supposed to have a wide variety, but this place was ridiculous. I found Charles Chips, a brand of potato chips that I grew up on as a kid in Ohio and hadn’t seen in years. Loved em’! They had Prohibition Beer, a new brand I hadn’t seen before. And a Boylans soda that was called Shirley Temple. I had never seen that one either. So I as the owner to make me an Italian Hero, light on the onions and hot peppers. He says«I know just what you want.» He disappears behind the counter for about 8 minutes and comes back with a sandwich wrapped up that looked and felt like a Duraflame log. It was gigantic! I spent the next twenty minutes in my car wrestling with this beast before it got the better of me. But is was fresh, Italian, and awesome! Hope my son goes wrestling up there again soon, so I can sneak off and go back to Country Plaza Deli.

Mixed up the delis… this is the one that is pricey! But good with some extra gourmet chocolates and cookies when needed.
