Great place to go for lunch. They have soups, salads, wraps, panini’s and sandwiches. Lots of variety and something for everyone. I decided to get a cup of tomato basil soup and split a pesto basil chicken wrap with my friend. The cup of soup was almost enough to fill me up for a whole meal so I ate only a portion of the wrap. Both were very good and the soup hit the spot since it was a cold day. I do have to say it is rather small in there which is the only downfall. I did hear they are moving to a larger location so that will be good because if you don’t time it right you might not be able to find a spot to sit.

Never had any bad food from here, and I come here 3 times a week. By far the best restaurant in Lockport, and definitely the most underrated.

One of the best places in all of WNY to get a sandwich. Prices are fair, but the food… incredible! do yourself a favor and stop on and get a Matthew with chips, and I also highly recommend checking out their daily soup list which are made fresh daily. That moment you take your first bite you will be hooked! Guaranteed!

It is difficult for me to find words to describe Scripts Café because every thought that starts ends with«mmmmmmmm» and a happy dance. I have yet to select an option from the creatively named menu options, weather that be soup, sandwich, side or dessert! This is a fantastic little spot to hit up on your lunch hour, conveniently located in the heart of Lockport’s main stretch. In addition to the delicious food, and the absolutely TODIEFOR Tomato Basil soup, the interior is stocked full of adorable décor, and a fine tuned machine of co-workers that remain calm and incredibly friendly even during their busiest of stretches.

Best cookies ever. Scripts provided cookie platters for a party I hosted and they were out of this world! Everyone absolutely loved them! Their sandwiches are amazing too, but make sure you save room for a baked good.

Matthew with greens or chips is the way to go. The other food is great too the little ricky is the closest thing to a Cuban sandwich up north and it’s not too bad. The service is prompt. The atmosphere is nice. The only thing I would improve would be the drink selection. Instead of serving your everyday commercial drinks, it would be nice to see something a little more custom from scripts café, I think it would be the icing on the cake.

Stumbled across this place while on the road for work. We were driving across the Buffalo area early, needing some place that did coffee as well as lunch as we’d be getting here around 10 and having to bounce fed around 11:30am before our next appointment. Downtown Lockport is charming, and this place was perfect. We got our coffee and we were spoiled for choice with the soups and salads. I grew up in San Francisco. I’m a California girl, I’d like to think in the best sort of way: laid back, but liking quality foods made with fresh meat and veg. Scripts does this perfectly: good food, no pretension, reasonable prices. Had we been feeling more like a sandwich, that also would have been great. The white bean-kale soup *could* have had more beans we both agreed, but the salad(we both also opted for the Christopher) was above and beyond. I know I’ll be back in the area for work, so this will become my lunch spot. Great coffee, great food, great staff.

Best sandwich shop in Lockport! A small business ran by a beautiful family. Always fresh ingredients and delicious baked goods, all completely affordable — definitely worth it!

I used to adore this place! Since I moved to California, there is really nothing like it. Miss the hughes sandwhich — looking forward to having that and the tomato basil soup with grated parmesan when I visit :-) So delicious and decently priced!

When I was younger, I used to want to date a Scripter. There are a lot of Scripters in the USA, and they are usually exceptionally attractive and wild and perhaps even a little superficial, generally speaking, in terms of choosing their boyfriends(or girlfriends). Which makes it a challenge. I later realized that it’s not a good idea to date people based in any way on their profession of choice. And plus, I am not someone that likes to go to Script clubs, so I didn’t meet nearly as many Scripters as some of my friends did. I still think Scripters are awesome though. The reason I never hire Lockport-based actors to star in my movies and Broadway plays, is because they are always forgetting about scripts. They deviate from Scripts so often, for example, while having lunch at One Eyed Jack’s(not my fave) or Sunny’s(it’s always Philadelphia at Sunny’s). And I am saying, listen guys, creative expression is all well and good, but if you’re being paid to use Scripts, then use Scripts. Certainly, this little sandwich shop doesn’t get the credit it deserves. It also doesn’t get the debit it deserves. People use cash for the most part. I had lunch with Darren here back in 1996, or was it a week ago, I can’t remember. Either way, it was a great place to have a long chat about everything from the New York Yankees to the Green Bay Packers, and we also talked about sports too, in between. Darren is one of the few people I know from Buffalo who have made the pilgrimage to Lambeau Field. If you go to the Unilocal page for Frozen Tundra, you’ll see a bunch of Wisconsin cheeseheads giving it 5⁄5 with a few Chicagoans and Minnesotans giving it 1 or 2 just to be spiteful, and then you’ll see Darren and I raving about it, all the way from not-anywhere-near-Green-Bay. Actually my ex lives in Green Bay. But I’m digressing. I had the chicken breast sandwich(it has a fancy name, I can’t remember it), and it was good. A lot of people love the club sandwich, the Drewski, the Matthew(which is close to what I had). It’s fairly cheap and very friendly and has a nice atmosphere, nice intimate cozy seating, and a nice restroom. It is very clean and new. They offer salad or chips with sandwiches, I chose the salad, it was nice. I much prefer the sandwiches at Jonny C’s on Transit, but that’s not exactly nearby(it’s quite a trek down Transit to North French from Lockport), and I actually prefer the atmosphere here. And if you really want to date a Scripter, then good luck to you.

I’ve been going here since they opened and even with new staff they are keeping up the good work! Their paninis are the best thing known to man(the willy cheng is to die for). Also try to get their coffee cake with a chai tea, yummmmmmmmm.

Every time I come here, the food is delicious and the staff is friendly. Granted, it is a little tight in there at times, but that kind of goes with the territory. Give«The Matthew» a try: chicken, bacon, cheese and chipotle mayo, it’s delicious!

One of the better options in downtown lockport. It is located right next door to the palace theater. They have a hodge posge of indoor seating and a few tables outside. Sitting outside is always an adventure as you never know who will be walking by. They offer panini style sandwiches, wraps, and soups. The menu is written on chalkboards throughout the«ordering area». There are a lot of options and I find it overwhelming to quickly go through it all. Everything I have ordered has been fresh and flavorful. You can either get chips or greens with balsamic included your sandwich. They offer bottled drinks in a cooler or a free water dispenser with cups. Parking is on the street.

Absolutely delicious. I got my order to go today as I was on a walk and expected it to be a little cold and possibly soggy when I arrived home. They wrapped the sandwich up so nicely that the salad side did not effect it. It was so good. I’ll definitely be back for more!!! I recommend the Matthew. Mmmmmm.

Great little spot to grab a decent priced, tasty meal! A fellow Unilocaler asked what I had thought of Scripts since he had read my review of Sweet Sixteen and I had to admit that I had never heard of it. But I was glad he asked because I’m always scouting out new places to eat and Lockport has some really cute newer eateries! Brought my parents here for lunch. The café sits to the east of the Palace Theater. We parked down the street and walked over. The interior of the café is pretty small even with the separate dining area and the furniture is kind of old and rickety. I loved that they had paper menus available along with their menu written on chalkboard walls. It was easier for me and my senior aged parents to read the paper menu than the boards. We ordered our lunches. They each got the Scripts Club and I got the chicken pesto wrap, all with greens on the side, though they have chips as an option. My dad and I each got a cup of the cream of mushroom soup and my mom got the tomato basil. At the end of our meal, we split a coconut lime cookie, an orange cookie, and a s’mores brownie. Everything was WONDERFUL. The soups were so good. I loved the cream of mushroom but loved the tomato even more! Everything had so much delicious flavor. My wrap was really tasty with roasted red peppers and feta… Yum yum yum! The Scripts Club was VERY tasty too. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. The desserts were also very good and homemade. The s’mores brownie(hello! It’s a s’mores brownie!) was my fave even though it was messy since the gram crust on the bottom just crumbled. The food was all so so good! The drink situation was okay– all bottled choices. Would be great if they offered like house-brewed iced tea, homemade lemonade, etc. Some more unique options than just bottled Pepsi products. So 5-star lunch food, but like 3-star seating and drink options = 4 stars total! Yay to finding another great little eatery in Lockport!
