History

Established in 2002.

J. Fitzgerald Group was founded on January 1, 2002, by equal partners Jack Martin and Carmel Cerullo-​Beiter. Both are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the agency, including all client services and new business development. They also actively create, develop and/​or oversee all projects performed by the agency.

After working together at another large Buffalo, NY-​area advertising agency, Jack and Carmel chose to invest in the area where they were born and raised by purchasing and founding their own company in a 150-​year-​old building facing the Erie Canal in Lockport, NY. Over time the agency has grown, in step with the purchase and expansion into two additional adjacent canal-​side properties.

Business Owner

Carmel is responsible for new business development, client relations and overseeing the daily operations of JFG. Carmel is responsible for strategic planning and overseeing the development/​execution of creative strategy for JFG and its many clients. Carmel graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego with a Fine Arts degree. Since beginning her career in advertising, Carmel has designed, created, launched and managed nearly 100 different brands, shaping the look and feel of a wide range of products and business-​to-​business offerings to oversee, protect and enhance the image, reputation and formulation of public perception. Knowing that effective creative is solidly grounded in smart business solutions, her approach has always been highly strategic, earning her the opportunity to manage brands ranging from Volvo Construction Equipment to Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD).
