History
Established in 1932.
During the depression era, there was a man named Joe Rabel who owned a herd of cattle but had no way to sell it. He cam to Edgar Black Sr. and asked him if he would run a meat market for him. Joe would supply the meat, and Edgar would do the work of butchering and selling.
Since then, the business has grown into a smoke house and now a legendary Texas Barbecue Joint.
Now with it’s 4th generation of the Black family running the place, Black’s continues to serve up great Texas Barbecue.
