If you would have asked me this morning i would have given this place a 5 star rating. I have been going to Lockeford Meat for years and travel from Stockton to purchase their delicious meat. This afternoon I traveled there on my 1 hour lunch to pick up meat for my dinner tonight. I spent $ 75.00 + dollars. After making my purchase I asked to speak with the manager regarding donations for a Crab feed that my work is hosting. When the man came out from the back I introduced myself. I informed him that I work for a small locally own business that assist disabled adults with integrating into the community as well as gaining employment in the community. I had a letter that explained about the Crab feed and information regarding our business. The man did not take the letter and as I told him that we are going around to local businesses hoping for support and donations for raffle prizes he shook his head and said, «Oh we don’t do things like that. The price of this stuff is getting expensive!» «We donate to the church sometimes but that’s it.» I am not writing this because he said, «No.» I do not expect to get a donation from everyone that I ask. I am writing this because he said, «We don’t do things like that– and told me this stuff is expensive.» Yes this stuff is expensive and they do very well as I have stood in line outside their business for an hour on several occasions to make a purchase and stood in line at fairs in our area to support their business and pay the HIGH price for it. This is sad that a small business does not support other local business to help make each other successful. Like writing a $ 20 gift card is going to break this place… Knowing who ever would have got the gift card would have came out their own wallet to add to their purchase of what he said himself said«Expensive stuff». I have to say 5 stars for the meat — but ½ star for Camaraderie

We LOVE Lockeford Meat & Sausage Services. We drive to Lockeford once a month to purchase our meats, including Andouille, Chorizo, Bacon not to mention any item the butcher suggests. We can arrive any day of the week and they always have a line out the door, for all the right reasons!

Best trip tip and sausages ever! Love the Hawaiian sausage! To die for! We drove up on a Saturday morning from San Leandro with a list from our friends and family and an ice chest ready to fill! And we filled it! The meat shop is small but when you walk in your enamored by the aromas of fresh and delicious cuts of meat. I was in meat heaven! You won’t leave empty handed!

Passed by this place gazillion times and finally got the chance to stop by when there weren’t a long line(like always all the time). And boy, awesome sausages!!! You got to try the Hawaiin Luau Sausage. Just perfect. And my wife swore that we’ll never buy sausages elsewhere except here at Lockford Meats and Sausages.

Best. Ever. Everything is on point. Best to stock up while you’re there. I do NOT advise waiting to go for a holiday weekend. The line is out the door and around the corner. It’s totally worth the wait, BUT if you have the time prior to its best.

Terrific world famous sausages. Super small store and usually a line out the door and around the corner. Squish inside and wait for them to say next and then just tell em which suasages and how many. You cannot order them all or you can but there are alot! Beef jerky is pricey but the best you will ever have. We walked out with 1 pesto, 2 jalepeno, 4 hawaiin and the signiture Smoked Dakota(6 of these bad dogs) for around 45 bucks. So worth the trip here.

Best sausages around. Their street fair sausage(Smoked Dakota Brat) is amazing. We also enjoy the Hawaiian Luau(teriyaki & pineapple) absolutely amazing. Beef jerky is good as well. Been here twice and will be back. Heard their Apple Sausage is great. Be prepared they are always packed, line out the door, but it moves quickly. The standard sausage size is close to 12″, we had a party with 25 adults and majority only ate 1. Needless to say I had a lot left over. Which was fine by me. Have stock in freezer.

My dad was a butcher, and he took me here from the time I was around 5 years old. Best sausage ever! It’s worth the hour drive from my house. I wanted to update my review to inform customers that paying with cash is the best. I have been out several times in the past year with friends, and they seem to have A LOT of trouble with their credit card machine. I don’t know if they have resolved those issues, but I am planning to drive out before Christmas.

We love their Okie sausages. It’s great for when my husband makes country gravy at home. Their teriyaki sticks is a great snack. I like that it’s only slightly sweet. What’s best about their sausages is that it does NOT give you the burps after you eat it.

Two words: Sausage Heaven. I was visiting a friend in Northern California and he INSISTED that we go to this out-of-the-way meat shop to get some of their fantastic links of YUM! I knew I trusted my friend, and he did NOT steer us wrong. Because we were traveling we couldn’t stock up on all of the amazing varieties of pork links that they offered, so we decided to get a few of the smoked varieties to share with friends at a grill-out we had planned in the park that weekend. We had the Smoked Dakota Bratwurst, the Smoked Portuguese Linguesa and the Smoked Hawaiian Sausages. Each was great in it’s own way, but if I could have possibly stashed some for the trip home the Hawaiian would have been purchased in BULK! They also did a great beef jerky, which is always good for a road trip. Not sure if my travels will ever take me back this way, but you best believe if I am with an hour of this place I would happily make a special trip.

Pretty sure Lockeford Meat & Sausage doesn’t need my review because it is loved by everyone. People come from all over to get their products. They have a great selection of meat, sausages and bacon which is all fresh!!! My personal favorite is the Hawaiian Luau sausage. The pre-marinated tri-tip is delicious as well and makes a last minute barbecue super easy. The bacon is yummy too and cheaper than you can get it at the store. The line is always long so plan ahead but it is well worth the wait!

Awesome drive from Stockton to Lockeford. Depending on the time of year there’s wineries and lots of fresh fruit sold along HW88 including strawberries and cherries. I’ve enjoyed Lockeford meats for years! Smoked Dakotas, Hot Italian, Apple, Andouille, Hawaiian, Jalepeño, and Pesto sausages are full of mad flavor. I like to make them in omelettes, pastas, on the bque, and just by themselves. Jerky is fresh and full of taste. I always take a stick or strip for the trip home. Awesome spot, a man’s man’s spot. Spot for everybody really, Lol! It would be awesome if they set up a little deli or restaurant and served up all their meats.

I have been out here to Lockeford several times to pick up sausages for bar-b-ques, picnics, and parties. They are always the biggest hit at every function I cook them for! My guests love them! There is so much variety at this local shop that has become quite famous for their sausages and jerkys! I believe I have tried almost every one at this point. And my favorite one keeps changing with every new try! Lol! The shop is small and the lines are always long, especially during holidays and football season! But these guys have been doing this for a long time and they know how to move the line along quickly. It is worth the wait!

Lockeford meat & sausages on Cotton St in Lockeford, California. Tip: They take credit Okay here’s the skinny. I’ve had their sausages at barbecues, I’ve had their sausages at farmers markets. So it was time for me to have some for my own. I made a pilgrimage from my village of Stockton to Lockeford. Let me tell you this it was worth the trip. The sausages taste like no other and just explodes in your mouth. I came in and I bought a pound of Dakota bratwurst, four beef sticks and a pound maple links. The kids and I really enjoyed the beef jerky. What was cool about the Maple links I was cooking them on my grill and I could actually just smell the maple in the air. The Dakota bratwurst expanded as I cooked them. My son enjoyed the maple and the Dakota links my two girls preferred the maple links. The sausages are a good size and you could cut one of them split it in half and serve to people. They’re pretty filling too once you put all the fixings in them. So yes my family and I had a wonderful dinner that evening. We even had leftovers for the next day to cook some sausage with our eggs. They were bomb dot com. So yeah I’ll be definitely be coming back. Vincent D aka VD aka Vebola aka Vincent Vega. Always enjoying the simple things in life.
