Show up here often. Nicer location than Westland. Cleaner and more modern. Always good service. Never slow or unfriendly. Food is consistent. Have not been to a lot of Olgas but this is my favorite.

The food here is Just OK. but the service? its awful. When you go into the restaurant the wait time is pretty long and somewhat disorganized. I have ordered online 4 times and 3 times the order has been wrong, or missing products in the bag that are listed RIGHT on the receipt. when you call to tell them they could really care less, they offer something on the «next» order. really? how about you didn’t give me what i already paid for. when the order is for a sandwich, salad and fries and you forget the fries, guess what? that’s a third of the meal. no consideration for money paid, no consideration for time wasted… not good business.

I wish to thank Jessie, the manager of this establishment for his support of SUNA (the Society of Urology Nurses and Associates). My husband and I have always found great service and delicious food at this location. We also appreciate all the vegetarian choices Olga’s offers! All of the servers are wonderful, however if she is there, we always request Madonna!

Good service, good food, good prices. I asked to sit in a private/​quiet area, and the hostess did a great job with sitting me in the back near a table of old ladies. The food included generous portions and the service was mostly prompt. My waitress was professional with routine eye contact and well-​mannered – sometimes a hard find today. Her appearance was clean and neat. They were a little busy because of Friday night. I can’t complain and the waitress seemed hard-​working – making sure her tables were clean and tidy. She didn’t cut corners and I watched her spray disinfectant on the table next to me and clean it well, which makes me feel a little more assured about sanitation.

I have to say that I’m very disappointed In this Olga’s waitstaff! Although our waitress, Danielle was very nice and helpful and really wonderful… along with the waitress, Madonna, who’s always professional even when my 2 yr granddaughter has a melt down! What makes me sad is that… yes. My daughter has her hands full with a 1 ½yr old & a just turned 3 yr old girls! Olgas is a family restaurant and it’s inside of a mall filled with kids and families!
It’s expected that people would bring their kids to Olga’s especially in the mall! My 3 yr old granddaughter is very cute and smart but also has a bit of a stubborn streak in her and the 18 mos old is just that, 18 mos old! They’re a bit loud and a bit messy and we try to clean up as best we can ! But when we were leaving Olga’s at Laurel park the other day, my daughter and I directly saw A waitress, Shelby, go inside the kitchen and clap her hands vigorously while screaming and smiling and saying «YAAAaaaaaY» we looked right inside the kitchen at her and my daughter gave her a bit of a look; but she was screaming and jumping for joy that we were leaving with the babies! She’s been rude before when waiting on our table. I never Unilocaled about it! But this was very rude and I felt it needed to be told! Remembering that Danielle was awesome! The food was good too! But wow, just very unkind feeling and definitely not welcoming… just opposite!

This restaurants quality has gone down. Before when all the sandwiches were served with fries and were at a reasonable price, it was good. Now fries cost an extra 2 dollars or so which is quite a lot for some curly fries. Service was slow, and every single time when we eat as a party of three, two people order water and one orders water with lemon and they put lemon in all of them. The snackers are the only good thing left in this joint.

I love Olgas… that being said; I was very disappointed in the service and food I received. I stopped in for my regular Olgas combo. original Olga, fries, salad and ice tea.
Wow what a disappointment… the salad came before the ice tea, then no fries (they did come latter) and the Olga original had only a couple pieces of meat but loaded with onions. I hope it was just a bad day for all involved… only time will tell.

I love this place. I do. You’d be hard pressed to find a place that gives me a feeling of nostalgia like this restaurant. Though I’m now too old for the amount of sugar in the Orange cream cooler, the pita bread doesn’t taste like anything else at all.
I always get the three cheese, the Olga sauce and tomatoes cut into the cheese fat for a wonderful flavor. The Unilocal check in gave us free dessert and the Brownie is not only the best value, but so delicious tasting and wonderfully plated.

I grew up going to this Olgas on a weekly basis. My friends and I would come here to eat before seeing a movie. The food was always fantastic! Apparently, this has all slipped in the year I’ve been away from Michigan.
I was visiting my parents from North Carolina, and we got a craving for some Olgas. My mom placed an order online for the tings we all wanted. When I got to the store to pick up our order, it was sitting out in the open… getting cold, 10 mins before my «pickup» time. I only knew it was mine because my mom’s name was on display. I stood there for 5 minutes before I was even greeted. Then a very rushed looking woman said she’d be right with me, while other employees stood around. Another 5 minutes elapsed as she sat a few parties, and chewed put a server or two. Once she approached me I cashed out, and began to leave. Then I just want to point out something that happened to another customer. She went to pay, and the woman who cashed me out, began to ring up this other customer, then said she couldn’t do it, and said she went to get someone else… making her wait.
Then I get home, and begin to plate up my first Olga in 7yrs, which I was SO excited about. I always get an original Olga. It was SO SAD. Three tiny, mushy slivers of tomato. There was only a tiny dribble of Olga sauce, and pieces of my meat was so hard it hurt my teeth. Maybe this is usually disguised by the delicious bread, which I was unable to eat. My bread was burned and hard. I was able to rap on my bread hard enough to make my dog thing someone was knocking on the door. The bread is the best part! VERY UNSATISFACTORY.
On the bright side, my mom enjoyed her sandwich. The spinach pie was good and had a good flaky crust without a greasy taste. My dad’s snackers were very well seasoned and served with a good amount of the swiss almond cheese. He saved his soup for lunch the next day… so any complaints on that are null and void.
I was hoping for a wonderful meal of delicious lamb goodness, instead I ended up with a toothache.

First off let me say that I love olgas food! And that’s the only reason why I’m giving this place two stars instead of one. This place is just ridiculously slow at customer service. I’ve been here a couple of times but it never gets any better depending on the time or day. The last time I went I didn’t end up eating there. I waited a couple of minutes to be sat down but realized it was a waste of time. There were 5 people in front of me .They weren’t full of people at all, they had a couple of dirty tables and no one working there seemed in a big hurry to do anything. Times before this I’ve also had my curly fries over fried and burnt. I have also wanted dessert but didn’t get it because no one came to give me a refill or the bill. I had to get up and ask for the bill so I could leave. This place is just a complete bummer

I admit that I do eat here fairly often. I grew up loving Olga’s. I was at the first Olga’s in Birmingham, Mi. I remember the little stand that served delicious gyros and spinach pies. It tasted different but so good. Fast forward to my many experiences at this Olga’s. The food has gone way down hill since those early days, but still has something that brings you back.
The prices are high and the portions are small. The service is sadly lacking most of the time. Tonight’s server was very sweet and very apologetic of the mistakes that seemed to plague our meal. My two sons received their plain chicken with three cheese with loads of mayo, lettuce and tomato. They sent it back and it took a good 15 minutes to get a new meal and we had already waited quite a while for the original meals. It is just frustrating and disappointing that such a wonderful concept with delicious food has turned so run of the mill. Probably not what Olga had envisioned. I will probably return but it isn’t because they do things right. You take your chances and sometimes, you end up ok.

This Olga’s is good now. I was leery due to the poor reviews, but the service was quick and polite, and the meal was good. There was a busy lunch rush, but I was seated quickly, and my food was delivered very fast.

Time after time Olga’s at Laurel Park Mall draws me in and nearly every time I sit down and think «why do I to this to myself»?
We came early in the lunch hour with no wait. They sat us at a 4-​person table near the entrance which was «set» for new diners but covered in crumbs. We waited a couple of minutes for our waitress to come by and pointed it out to right away to be cleaned up. She promptly grabbed the spray and rag, asked if it was good (like we put the crumbs there — but then apologized) and we went on with our order.
Ordered two «soup & salad» meals, both with out onion. Low and behold, there was onion on both of our salads and the salad looked like it had been marinating in dressing for a good amount of time. We didn’t order the endless portion, which means that it should come with a medium salad, but it clearly didn’t.
Much like other reviewers, our server was great at drink refills but displayed no personality whatsoever. She didn’t seem to be overloaded with tables but yet she couldn’t see the onions laying on top of both of our salads that we ordered without AND she couldn’t remember who had what type of soup. Also, we were served a smaller salad size because she rang us in wrong (probably to get the extra $ 2.40 up charge for endless).
Overall, the staff this morning seemed to be disgruntled about something, constantly chattering in their headset and in clusters around the restaurant.
The only reason there is 2 stars is that they managed to give a heaping load of snackers and my cup of brocooli soup was warm.

I’m typically in love with Olga’s mainly because a good friend of ours happens to be the Director of Marketing; however, I was less than thrilled with today’s experience. I’m withholding names to avoid embarrassment.
Really, the 2-​star rating this time around is simply because our server had ZERO personality and wasn’t friendly in the least. That, and my fries were cold. The sandwich is always fresh, but those fries need to have a shorter life cycle in the kitchen.
The server was wonderful at refilling my drink, but didn’t seem to want to make conversation. I get that everyone has bad days, but when you’re in the service industry you pretty much have to keep a smile on all the time.
That’s all.

I am addicted to Olga’s. The bread is simply to die for. That being said this place is way overpriced. Fries or a salad is going to cost you extra! I am on their email list and they normally send out coupons, so that helps.

Throwback Thursdays are great! We got original Olga’s sandwiches for 3.69 $ or something pretty cheap and the orange cream coolers for 1.75 $ for 1991 prices. The service was pretty good but I’ve gotta say … it was like we were eating at an airport kiosk. The restaurant isn’t completely closed off to the mall. The portions were great — definitely did not skimp on the meat. I would definitely come back again for this deal!

Yay — it looks like there is a new manager here because service is so much better than it had been in the past. And that is a good thing. Food has always been a strong point at this very casual sit-​down restaurant but service has been hit or miss over the years.
The menu has also evolved over the years but my love for the Original Olga sandwich remains strong. The sandwich consists of seasoned gyro meat, sliced tomatoes, onions and Olga sauce (yogurt sauce) served on delicious Olga bread (sweet pita bread). I always order extra sauce for dipping.
Also delicious is the Three Cheese sandwich which contains melted cheese, sliced tomatoes, and Olga sauce. While I tend to skip raw onions on most sandwiches, it is rather good in this sandwich — so I will only order it if there are no meetings after lunch.
A side (not basket) order of snackers, Olga’s bread cut into wedges, seasoned with paprika and sesame, served with cheese spread helped to stave off hunger without filling up.
A side Greek salad offers a good vinegary counterpoint to the savory meal.
Not related to the restaurant (and not reflected in the rating), but what is up with the 3G/​4G service in this mall? I feel like I’ve time-​traveled back whenever I shop at the mall and can’t view email or apps. While Olga’s has a separate wifi access point, it rarely provides quick, consistent internet access.

Oh my what a disaster. Went here with one of my friends while we were shopping. This particular Olga’s is located right in Laurel Park Mall. Love the mall, but this Olga’s fell below the mark in quite a few areas!
First of all there was a line and the young lady said it would be a 5 minute wait for us. This 5 minutes turned into 20 minutes. You look around and there were at least a dozen tables that needed bussing. If you have no one to bus the tables, then the hostess, waitresses, whomever should help clean those tables off for good paying customers!
Finally was able to sit down after a very long 5 (heh) minute wait. Sat and waited and waited. Finally, someone comes to the table and says she’ll be right back! I really didn’t see what the problem was. This Olga’s is not humongous by any means and me and my friend counted at least 10 people working in the dining area. What’s the problem Olga??? It was very disorganized and we even told the waitress that. At that time she said they were 3 people short that day. HELLO — maybe everyone should step up the game plan to ensure your customers are taken care of properly!
We ordered our food and drinks at the same time. We both ordered a salad and one order of zucchini fries. I’ve never had these and my friend just raved about them. Our drinks arrived and then this pathetic plate of mush came. We both looked at each and said don’t eat any!!! I am attaching a picture of them to this review. Anyway, someone finally came by and I asked for the manager. Another 5 minutes or more and finally she came. My friend asked her what happened? And, then she said would you spend your money on this??? The manager said no and asked us if we wanted another order — me thinks not!!!
Very disorganized, not clean, and very very slow. I would highly recommend whoever is in the kitchen to please look at the food you send out — presentation is very important. I have been to other Olga’s and had no complaints, but this one receives a thumbs down!

The food was fine and standard Olga’s.
However, the service was terrible, so terrible it almost became amusing. The kitchen burnt our food so we had to wait a long time for what should have been a simple order. Another customer left after ordering dessert because of the wait. The manager hounded them into returning into their seats. The staff was hit and miss, friendly and rude but almost always incompetent, with our waitress forgetting multiple things we asked her for. Silverware was missing from almost every table. The manager who I felt some level of sympathy for should really use some discretion and offer discount/​free dessert when the staff messes up, but at this location they might go broke.
Again, the level of service I expect from Olga’s is already lowered because of the mall setting but this was ridiculous. The food was fine, but you better expect dinner and a show.

Unfortunately not all Olga’s are created equal. Luckily, the problem is not with the food but with the service.
First of all, this particular Olga’s is very popular. Since it is located in a mall it is usually very busy. If you go during the lunch or dinner rush you are almost guaranteed to be waiting in line just to be seated. This wait can be anywhere from five to twenty minutes so be prepared if you’re going during the popular dining hours.
Secondly, since the place is practically always busy the service can be very slow. Often times your meal will take longer than you planned for. The staff is definitely friendly and accommodating, just very slow.
Lastly, the food is average. It’s the same no matter what Olga’s you go to so no surprise there.
Overall a fine place to eat when you’re shopping for the day. But not just for a quick bite.
