I will start this by saying my wife and I were coming from a birthday party, so we weren’t particularly hungry when we arrived. We were also part of a rather large group, so complaints about the service are tempered with the fact that we knew they had a lot of us to deal with, so they don’t lose as many points with me as they otherwise would have.
That said, when we arrived, it was apparent that they were very busy, and parking was difficult to come by. There was also a VERY large pothole in the parking lot that, in the dark and with it filled with water, we didn’t notice until we hit.
I can’t speak to the speed of being seated, as most of our party was already there. Since we weren’t really that hungry, we decided to order an appetizer to split, and we would each get a dessert (we never have room for dessert when we normally go out, so it was a special treat for us). Our server was nice enough, but we were given no plates or utensils (ever after getting our food), and my wife had to go track them down on her own.
As for the food itself, from what little we had, its quality varied. The appetizer we ordered was the Oven-​baked Chicken Caprese Flatbread. It was incredibly appetizing to look at, and the taste was phenomenal. I’m not much of a foodie, so I’m not sure I can identify all of the flavors, but suffice to say that there were some tastes that I wasn’t expecting, but they were all very, very good. Our desserts were the Manhattan Cheesecake and Marios Chocolate Skyscraper. It’s hard to go wrong with cheesecake (although others may disagree), and this was no exception. Our server didn’t seem to understand when my wife asked for a fruit drizzle with it; he seemed to think she wanted fruit slices, which they don’t provide. He soon caught on that she wanted fruit syrup, which he did add (raspberry). I don’t think it comes with it by default, so you may have to ask for it (and specify that it is syrup). The Skyscraper looked like a very large, delicious piece of chocolate cake. What it was, unfortunately, was dry and bland. It didn’t taste right, and was a huge disappointment. Our server took it off of the bill without us specifically asking him to, which was nice. Our son was also with us, and got the kid’s pizza (he refused to eat at the earlier party), but since he’s 3 and doesn’t review things well, I’m not sure how that was. He ate nearly all of it, though!
All in all, it wasn’t the best experience, but wasn’t the worst. They do have some good food, and I’d like to think that the waitstaff does a better job when dealing with a smaller group, but I can’t swear to that. Be sure to be prepared for a crowd on a Saturday night.

We eat here on occasion. It’s not, «oh my god, this is delicious» but it’s good. The problem with this area of Livonia is that there is an abundance of mediocre restaurants but nothing amazing which is sad. I need to try more things on the menu so that I can give them 4 or 5 stars.
Our service has always been pretty good here and to me, that’s important.

It’s ok it’s not horrible and its not great middle of the road Italian food the soups are pretty good I usually get the Chicken Alfredo my SugarBush gets the Chicken Parmesan… I like the unlimited bread, soup and salad easy to get filled up on not that bad on price!

I went to the Westside, East Side Mario’s, and much like it’s distant cousin in Rochester, it was a good dining experience for my wife and I. I’m only a little hesitant to give it more stars because of the service that we encountered. It was early on a Saturday evening, the place wasn’t that busy, but our waiter seemed to be behind on everything. Drinks not coming until our soups had arrived, not coming back and checking to make sure things were okay… Sometimes its those small things that make it a great experience.
The atmosphere was good, a typical college football Saturday with most of the people glued to the TV sets, and a handful of birthdays being celebrated.
The food was just as good as I remembered from the other location. Great selections, a large amount of variety, etc.
I can see this becoming a new favorite place with the right service. :)

I went there about a month ago with my wife and sister. The food was actually pretty good.
Let’s go back a few years, I went there with my family and everything tasted microwaved. If I remember correctly, it was over 10 years ago.
I am glad I gave it another chance. I will be back more often.

I’ve been here a total of three times. The first time must’ve been a fluke because I enjoyed it thoroughly. The chicken nachos seduced me and made me come back two more miserable times.
Second visit. I came for my beloved nachos (I affectionately called them my puffy chips because their homemade goodness was so light and fluffy and weird and delicious). Upon ordering, the server looked at me like I was insane. «It’s like a really big order… Like enough for, like, four people to share.» He warned. Firstly, don’t tell me my nachos and I cannot be together. Secondly, why does the server care? I assured him that I would be asking for a to-​go box and he shouldn’t judge me even if I ate the whole thing. After eating a few bites my stomach flipped over on itself, turned inside out and had it out for me for a good three days. How dare you hurt me so, puffy chips!!! I trusted you…
After a few months my heart and tummy began to heal and I wanted to give chicken nachos another chance. I brought a friend just in case Judgey Mcjudgerson was there and we ordered a salad (see I can be healthy) and nachos to share. So we waited. All around us people were being seated and then being brought food. Then they were leaving and more people were being seated and being brought food. Where was our food?! We flagged down our waitress and inquired about our order. Oops, she forgot to put it in. Okay, things happen. So off she goes to put our order in. Another twenty or so minutes pass and I’m still without my puffy chips! We get the waitresses attention yet again and she disappears in the back. A moment later, the manager comes to our table and explains that our server forgot to put our order in the first time and then forgot to bring the food the second time and it got thrown away because it was thought to be a mistaken order. After it all, I wasn’t giving up. Just give me nachos! Finally, a salad is brought out to us. I should’ve taken a picture of it, it was the saddest of salads (brown, wilted lettuce with soggy deli meat trying to have a purpose). Nevermind, I declared. It just wasn’t meant to be. After an hour of waiting, we left without eating. Worst experience ever.

Great lunch specials. Had a really good waitress and the barmaid couldn’t have been nicer. Ordered nachos for lunch off the Appetizer menu. I asked if they were big and the waitress said no. These things were huge. Ended up wasting a lot

Food’s not bad… but the chairs and tables are so filthy. I wouldn’t touch them. Someone needs to replace the chairs as you can scrape filth off them.

Decent place but not really Italian. More like new York Italian. Food is okay… Plates were pretty dirty. Atmosphere was dull. I don’t think I would go back.

First time here. Monday’s for now they have an all you can eat pasta deal that’s pretty good. You just have to pay for anything extra each time or if you want Alfredo sauce. The garlic shrimp appetizer was AMAZING and I would come back to eat that alone. The soups were not very good. I enjoyed the blush sauce and then it came with bread pudding and that was good too.

Over time the quality of the food at this restaurant has seriously declined while the prices have steadily soared! The waitstaff is friendly and the salad is very good. Bread that used to be authentic Italian now tastes like freezer loaves/​buns. If you want to stop in for a beer and appetizers during happy hour and your a local then it’s okay otherwise it’s mediocre and overpriced. P. S. The bread pudding is amazing

Nah — wouldn’t go there again… if you’re looking for cheap un-​authentic italian — then you better off at Olive Garden. Ok so we went there for lunch on a Saturday.
The good — no waiting, seated immediately in a booth. The bread and unlimited soup OR salad if you order the dinner entrée.
The bad — the service (at least our server) was terrible. She didn’t want to be there but I guess no on was bank rolling her lifestyle so she had to be there for work. What I mean is that it was some of the worst service I’ve experienced. I mean come on I’m not asking you to wait on me hand and foot but a smile and can I get some you anything else wouldn’t hurt.
The ugly — the food was terrible. I got the lasagna and seriously. Did the take it out of a microwave? It must be frozen, zap it and serve it. Not freshly made in the back in my opinion. But then again I guess you get what you pay for… we also got the italian wedding soup which was ok and the stuffed mushroom ravioli was also just ok.
In brief — save yourself the trouble — go some where else.

So a bunch of us girls met here for dinner on a Tuesday night, and I have to say the whole experience was peculiar. I signed up for their email list and got the free app with the purchase of 2 entrees, but apparently it has to be printed — something about stapling it to my receipt and not being able to use my friend’s as proof. People still have printers? The email wasn’t good enough to honor it (and I didn’t even ask if could order one entrée to go for my significant other so they probably would have shut that down).
The starters arrived with only one house dressing when two of us ordered it and everyone else got their own ranch. So, we had to share a sauce cup — kind of strange. She also stacked the butter for the bread which ended up being a big mess.
In all the food was good once it arrived. I guess maybe we had a new waitress?

I really try to like this place, but each time I come here the food is just disappointing. We had Calamari la Diavolo. Of all the dishes, this was pretty good. The shrimp appetizer was overcooked and smothered with mozzarella. The appetizers were served with small loaves of bread that were fresh out of the freezer.
The entrees were unimpressive.
The server seemed poorly trained and a bit awkward.
This is another place that should cut the size of their menu by 60%, serve fresh food and train their staff. What they arr doing now is a waste of your time.

I can never decide what I want, so I usually get the Mulberry Special — 3 choices in one.
Brought my grandparents here last year for a soup and salad lunch and they especially loved the minestrone soup. Bread is always good too.
Bar area is nice — crack your peanuts and throw them on the floor. Keno and pull tabs too.

This is our local go-​to restaurant. When we haven’t pulled something for dinner and want something quick, we go here. Service is good and quick, food is delicious, and prices and right! They always have coupons in mailers and flyers.
My favorite dish is the baked garlic shrimp appetizer with a side of pasta. It makes a fabulous meal! I also love the veal Parmesan. The bread pudding is amazing!!!

I’m giving this place a 3 overall because i went in two different times and had both different experiences.
My first visit would be ⁵⁄₅ stars because i had a pleasant experience. The server was friendly, attentive and very quick which was good. As for the food, the calamari was good and plentiful — it’s good enough for 3 people. For my main dish, i ordered Veal parmigiana which was delicious! The veal cutlet was moist and very tasty. And the side spaghetti is very good too. The soup and bread were tasty enough. Which prompt me to come back for the second time.
My second visit would be ²⁄₅ stars because it was the exact opposite of my first experience. The server was unknowledgeable of the menu and seems to be in hurry all the time which was odd because the place wasn’t packed that time. She also forgot our calamari order appetizer. This time i ordered Chicken marsala and it was not good. The mushroom marsala sauce was very salty and the chicken was dry. It was terrible.
It’s a hit and a miss with this restaurant. I am willing to give this restaurant another try and hopefully i will get a better experience next time.

We come to East Side Mario’s on occasion, as it’s a nice italian restaurant. The parking lot on the side is a bit small, and their food is sometimes hit or miss, but their service is always very friendly and knowledgable.
Kids also eat Free Sundays with paid adult meals.
Careful in the bathroom though. I fell because the floor was wet, and EXTREMELY slippery. I told our waitstaff and she said the same thing happened to hear earlier in the day.
