Angie Hahn’s Academy specializes in technique in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, Pointe, and competition classes.

All boy classes are offered in hip hop and male scholarships are available.

History

Established in 1970.

Our core mission is to provide a thorough technique-​centered dance education to our students. We offer the opportunity to compete and also offer performing opportunities through our annual Nutcracker Ballet, our collaboration with the Livonia Symphony Orchestra, and our annual end-​of-​year school performance. Angie Hahn’s Academy of Dance wishes to maintain and continue the proud tradition as set by its founders who began the studio more than 50 years ago. In addition to teaching the technique, musicality, and vocabulary of dance, we hope to instill our love for the art and history of dance, and a sense of confidence in each student who passes through our doors.

The Faculty at Angie Hahn’s Academy of Dance is comprised of a senior staff with no less than 15 years teaching experience, and as much as 30 years individual experience. Many senior staff members have degrees in dance or physical education, professional performance experience, and additional dance education.

Business Owner

Miss Angie has had extensive training with numerous dance companies and workshops including, the National Ballet School of Canada, Joffrey Chicago, Jazz Dance World Congress, Dance Master’s, and the Cecchetti Council of America Summer Intensives. In addition, Miss Angie has danced professionally for Dance Detroit, the Aretha Franklin tour, the Windsor Casino, and the Detroit Institute of Art film festival. She has also performed with the DSO and LSO in notable ballets such as the Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella, and Coppélia.
