EJ Wren Homebrewer

EJ Wren is fine. I live in BVille so this is a much more manageable visit than heading to the only other stores in Dewitt.
Their selection is very limited. Yeast — only Wyeast, some Danstar and Safale. NO White Labs. The yeast packest are never expired.
The hops selection is decent. Pretty basic. If you’re looking to brew a wicked IPA, you might not find the hops you’re looking for here.
They have beginner’s kits and all of the equipment you’ll need. I mostly stop in here for the little brewing bits that break or get dirty or that can be easily replaced, and they are priced well here.
My biggest peeve is that they only carry Munton’s ingredients (carb tabs, bottling sugars, spices, etc.) which are overpriced (due to the brand, not EJ Wren). Their ingredient kits look like they’re from the 1970s.
The staff is excellent and attentive, albeit a bit awkward sometimes. It goes with the homebrewing community well.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. EJ Wren has everything you need to brew whether you’re a first timer or an experienced brewer. They’re always willing to help and answer questions.
