Great home cooked meals. Nice wait staff and nice view of lake. Love the open face green chili burger and the liver and onions and… They also have a nice camp/RV ground and some cabins. Horseback rides in the summer and a pool! Local hangout, super breakfasts too! Nice for get to gethers with friends and families…

Wow, were we surprised! We stopped on the way home from picking my daughter up from sleep-away camp. We hadn’t planned to stop here, but she wasn’t feeling well, so we decided time out of the car and having some dinner would help. Boy — are we glad we did. Everyone’s meal was great. We asked the waitress what was good, and she recommended the Fish and Chips, which was not even on our radar. She described them to us, including how the chips are made literally when the order is put in. By the way, these are actual homemade potato chips, not French fries, as the Brits would call«chips.» I’ll spoil the story below and tell you now, YUM. I said I’d had a steak in mind and she recommended the ribeye(or any of the steaks, but that was her favorite). I should mention, she started out recommending their pizza, in very strong terms, but it takes 45 minutes and we didn’t want to wait. If we go back, though… Well, we ordered the Fish and Chips and the ribeye with baked potato. The kids ordered the spaghetti will meatball and grilled cheese kids meals. EVERYONEOFUS was thrilled with our food. The steak was tasty and tender and served on a sizzling hot skillet so the later bites are still warm. I had an idea to ask for steak sauce when she set the steak down, then I figured I’d try it first. No way would I put steak sauce in this tasty a piece of meat. The fish was battered in a very nice, thick batter that was clearly cooked hot, because it was not all greasy and the fish itself was flakey and flavorful. Even my son, who rarely touches fish, liked it and said he would order it next time. Speaking of my son — his grilled cheese was so good he even eat the crust! He completely cleaned his plate. FYI — the menu says kids meals are for 8 and under, but they didn’t balk at might 11 year old ordering off of it(maybe because he was going to order a pizza, and was disappointed to find out about the long wait time). My daughter just adored the kids spaghetti and meatball — she encouraged us to try it and the sauce was very tasty(I didn’t take any of her meatball, but she attested to it being very good, though not as good as Dad’s meatballs!) The baked potato was simple but very good and the green beans served with the steak were also nicely prepared. Dinner salads were made of a few simple but good ingredients, and I enjoyed the blue cheese dressing, though I’m not sure it’s made in house. There was a yummy chocolate pudding cake(a la mode) for dessert. The also offered a crumble which we didn’t try. FYI — in all cases the«ice cream» is a decent soft serve. The only downside for the night is apparently my daughter’s «sundae» was served in a just-from-the-dishwasher bowl, so it was pretty melted by the time it arrived at the table. She didn’t mind, so we didn’t say anything. That lists pretty much their dessert selection. It’s fine, but not what you’d go there for. The service was not super fast, but it was super friendly and helpful. Apparently, this place has all you can eat Fish N Chips on Fridays in the fall(I’m not sure I have the exactly right). We’re thinking it’s worth the 45 minute drive to get there for that sometime! We will definitely stop here again on the way to or from camp, or Red Feather Lakes. Not sure if I got the price range right. It’s a wide range, with entrees from $ 10 – 22. Kids meals were 5 or 6. All of it was plenty of food, though we did manage to order desserts.

I can only speak for the restaurant and not the resort: The food is good for being in the middle of no where. I had the chicken taco salad and I was pleasanlty suprised that there was romaine lettuce in the salad and not just a big chunk of iceberg lettuce you sometimes find in restaurants. My boyfiend had the BBQ hamburger with seasoned fries and complimented on how good he thought his food was. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. If you’re in the area, check it out.
