Overall quality here has improved a lot since my last visit. I did not taste their flavored sparkling wines, as I find anything flavored to be almost offensive to my spoiled palate. 2.5 Stars Cellar Door California brut. Citrus: lemon. Stone fruits: peaches. White flowers. A tad less sweet or a little more acidity would be good, otherwise not bad. 2.5 Scherzando. Very aromatic. Lots of stone fruits: white peaches, nectarines. Fresh white flowers. Orchard fruits: ripe brown pears. Good acidity, off dry. Simple but nice. 2.5 Harmony Red fruits: cranberries, red apples. Warm spice. Good acidity, more black fruits on the palate: plums. Light concentration. Easy drinking but charming. 2.5−3.0 13 cab Some oxidation. Black ripe fruits: blackberry jam, cassis, sweet plums. Firm, grippy tannins. Awkward mid palate. Dry. Good acidity. Some pencil shavings. 2 – 2.5 Ruby port Oxidation. Coconut. Black fruits: plums, blackberries. Raspberry jam. Cassis. Nice 2.5−3.0

I’ve been coming here for years mainly for the sparkling fun wine. The almond brut is among the best I’ve had from any winewaker who does the specialty type of champagnes. This may not be your style but the almond is very subtle and he does it perfectly. We always have a good time as he is always a good host. There are several other wines I’ve bought here and enjoyed but it’s not Plumpjack or something. One of the better wineries in Livermore Valley in my opinion.

I came here this past Saturday and was definitely underwhelmed by the place. The staff wasn’t rude but definitely was not all that friendly. I tipped our wine server(as I thought this was a standard thing to do) and didn’t receive great service as a result. I thanked the wine server on several occasions after she poured me the wine and didn’t get a «you’re welcome» of any sort. And I’m going to agree with Daniel S.‘s review that their«splash» is tiny, compared to the rest of the wineries on the property. I’ll definitely be back to the area but most likely wouldn’t return to this spot.

As a member of two Livermore wineries, I was very disappointed with our visit to the Singing Wine Maker. Their normal tasting is $ 10 and you get«a splash» of all 4 sparkling wines as well as 3 other wines. When I say splash I really mean a drop or two. When we went, we asked to skip the last 3 wines and only taste the sparkling wines(assuming that they would just double up the amount of sparkling they gave us as every other winery I’ve ever been to does). Well after licking the glass to get every precious drop out, we went back and the hostess said«ok, on to the wines now». After several of us explained we only wanted to do sparkling and not the wines, they still didn’t understand. There were 4 of us for a total of $ 40, and for the amount of wine they give in their tasting, we should have just bought two bottles of sparkling for $ 16 each. Two stars for bad economics, poor sample sizes, but good tasting flavored sparkling wine. The only time I’ll be back is to buy bottles and won’t recommend people go for tastings

Great sparklings. Great sparkling staff. Effervescent atmosphere. The live music puts it over the to in a good way. Nice light wine selection. Lots of knick knacks for the shoppers out there

Awesome atmosphere with life music. We came here around 4pm on a Sunday. It costs $ 10 for a tasting but you get 50% off for checking in on Unilocal. If you opt for a $ 20 tasting that also includes tasting at the 2 adjacent wineries. For the $ 10 tasting you can choose 4 wines. We started with the sparkling set of 4 wines(but it only counted as 1 wine). All were pretty good but I preferred the Brut. Next I tried the Scherzando which reminded me of a Riesling. I can’t remember which Red I tasted but I think it was called the Melody which was decent. The final wine I tried was the chocolate Port which served as a delicious dessert to finish off my tasting. I highly recommend The Singing Winemaker located at Tesla Vinters with the perfect atmosphere and delicious wines. Don’t be afraid to come in and join the party! Pro tip: Try the sparking wines because you get the whole set and it only counts as 1 of your 4 tastings!
