I’ve been here twice and both experiences were lovely, pleasant, and exactly what I wanted! I went in for my first hot stone massage about a month ago with Steven and was concerned about the temperature of the stones. The masseuse assured me that the stone temperatures would not hurt my skin and they were at a very nice temperature. He incorporated the stones about 10 minutes into my massage and that was the most relaxing massage I have ever had! He asked me throughout the massage if I was okay and if he needed to add more or less pressure which I really appreciated. I also added essential oils for an additional $ 5 and you can really smell it during the massage.
I had a one hour Swedish massage with another male masseuse during my second visit and he really got the knots out of my back! He also asked me throughout the massage if the pressure was too much or not and he really catered to what my body needed at that moment.
The receptionist is always very friendly, nice, and polite. I came 15 minutes late to my second appointment because of traffic and the receptionist and masseuse were both understanding. This is where I will go for all of my massages from now on!

I love this place! This is always my go-​to massage place when I have time to drive out to Livermore. I’ve always had great massage therapists and you can’t beat the price.

Impressive! Very clean and classy facilities, the ambiance is relaxing and very spacious. There is a promotion to get a free *30 minute foot massage on your birthday week! As I was checking in for my Saturday afternoon appointment, I overheard how quickly it books– definitely make an appointment if planning to have services done.

Excellent, clean massage salon. I’ve had massages, foot massages and prenatal massages here. They are very nice and professional each time. One time I did have an issue the manager quickly addressed it and I was very impressed with her professionalism and prompt attention. I would highly recommend them!

We needed to have three massages at once. They were able to accommodate us and called me back to let me know there was a festival going on at the time of our apt so be aware that parking would be tough. The waiting room is very nice and relaxing. We had Lily, Nikki, and Lisa. My daughter and I were in a couples room. When the hour was over, I looked at my daughter and said «that was the best…» and she said «massage you have ever had?» All three of us agreed. It was amazing. Also, I didn’t feel all greasy when I left. I cannot wait to go back. Also, I have wondered why people get foot massages. Based on what I saw in the «foot massage» room, I will definitely give that a try in the future. But next visit… will be taking my hubby so he will know where to get my future gift cards for massages!

Very nicely appointed waiting room, chairman massage & mani/​pedi area and massage rooms. We always have a wonderful experience there. **No up charge for the couples massage! My 10yr old son loves the pedicure & shoulder massage.

I still love this place but had a scary experience yesterday. I was getting a chair massage before the foot massage and she was digging really hard into my skull and neck. I thought it was too hard but I figured she has a license so she must know what she’s doing. Within about two minutes I started feeling nauseous and my hands were clammy and I started feeling extremely lightheaded. I thought it might pass but it quickly got worse. I knew I was going to faint so I got out if the chair saying I don’t feel right. Something’s wrong. And laid down on the floor next to the chair. I thought I might die. It was really scary. Ive fainted once in my life and this felt like that but much worse. There were suddenly four people attending to me trying to help. They were really nice. Got me some water and tried to give me sugar. I kept telling them she pushed up into my skull and probably cut off oxygen to my brain. Finally it passed and I said I could get up. They said let’s forget the chair and just do feet. I said okay thinking they would get someone else since it’s pretty serious what happened. I assumed they would not let her work on anyone else after all that. But she did my feet! It wasn’t good. She basically just rubbed the same spot over and over like she would take the skin off. Not a real massage. For the first time I just wanted my massage to be over. Super sweet lady but she doesn’t have the touch and she clearly doesn’t have the knowledge of the human body so that she doesn’t make you pass out. No more chair massage for me here. No sirree

My husband and I came here a few days ago for my birthday. When I started thinking about what I wanted to do for my birthday I thought about how people have told me that foot massage places are amazing. For not much money you can get a really relaxing massage. So I decided to try and find one near us in Livermore. I found Relax Ave on Unilocal and liked the convenient location and great reviews. I went to their website to check their prices and noticed that they also offer full body massages at VERY reasonable prices. They even offered a coupon for a FREE 30 minute foot massage the week of your birthday. I was SOLD! I called and made an appointment for both me and my husband. I received a 90 minute deep tissue massage and my FREE 30 minute foot massage. My husband had a 30 minute foot massage and 90 minute Swedish massage.
Our appointments were on a Wednesday at 11am. We found parking in the small lot next to the building. When we got inside I could tell the quality of the place was very nice. The décor was very clean and relaxing. When you enter there is a small closed room with a reception desk. We checked in and the lady walked us to our chairs for the foot massage. When we opened the doors from the reception room we walked into a small waiting area that was separated by a large curtain from the main foot massage room. It was very quiet, there was only one other person getting a foot massage. They sat us across the room from them, which was nice to still feel like we had privacy. They played very relaxing music. It sounded Chinese. The chairs were very comfortable.
Because I was receiving a deep tissue massage my massage therapist was a male and my husband’s was a woman. Bill and Alice. I highly recommend them! Bill was great at finding my knots and pressure points. He had strong hands, but very soft skin. They soak your feet first and massage your head. Then they massage your feet. It was so relaxing. The only thing I felt was missing was some sort of cover for my eyes. Either a sleep mask or cucumbers would have been amazing!
After the foot massage they guided us to the couple’s massage room which was through another curtain into a hallway. There was a GORGEOUS and very large fountain in the hallway. There seemed to be a lot of massage rooms. I used the bathroom before my massage and was impressed with how clean and nice it looked. Very classy.
The massage room had minimal décor, but that’s not important when your sole purpose is to lay there and RELAX.
Bill worked very hard on my massage. He used the perfect amount of pressure. [I prefer very firm massages, I like to feel sore, bruised and beaten the next day!] Although he did not make me feel pain at all during the service. He was able to find and work out all of my knots. He focused a lot on my back and arms. I’m a hairstylist so my back and arms hurt the worst [you would think it is my feet, but it is not] He also massaged my head, butt and legs. It was AMAZING! One of the best massages I’ve ever had. I focused a lot on my breathing and releasing tension throughout my body. I would find myself clenching my jaw or my hands. I felt like I was doing yoga or thai chi… emptying my mind, releasing tension and focusing on my breaths as he did his work. It was very zen. I was very impressed.
I felt 3 inches taller after the massage. My posture was much improved. So much that I had to raise the rearview mirror in my car! I was relaxed. Not sore. Even the next few days I felt amazing. I’m actually glad that I don’t feel bruised. Bill used the perfect amount of pressure. I am very happy with my massage. I don’t often get massages, but I think I will be making more appointments at Relax Ave in the future!

I love, love, love this place! I go every few weeks to get a foot massage! It truly is the best and the prices aren’t too steep either. I’ve gotten a few full body massages as well and they were as good as it gets. I always recommend Relax Ave. Day Spa to Livermore locals!

Let me first say that I only like deep tissue sports type of massages. So when I saw that Relax was advertising a Thai type of massage I jumped at it as my workout run was scheduled out near Livermore (10 mile run and then lower body weights afterwards. training for Spartan). I always cramp up during the lifting part of the session and that can be from probably not drinking enough water as I am not use to the Livermore heat, unfortunately. There is a massage service at the gym I go to lift weights, but that is more like a prodding session where you basically cry uncle and they will stop.
Anyways I show up 5 minutes early and the place is beautiful. Everything was furnished nicely. When you first walk into the building the receptionist takes your name and collects the fee. She knew I had an appointment so she had a lady (Lisa.not sure if she is the owner or the manager) escort me to the room. Before you get there you will see about 10 massage couches in an open area for foot/​shoulder massage. There were already lots of people there so I tried to be as quiet as possible.
The massage room was dim and i was worried I would fall asleep right away from the lack of sleep the night before, but the first step of the massage was a foot/​bath. That woke me up and the therapist (Rita) asked what activities I was involved (or if I had any pains) as she would caters to the areas that bothered me. I said I had just came from a long run and did weights from my legs. She did a pretty good job. If you are familiar with Thai massage it was mostly pulling and compression (best part when arms are behind back and they are pulled backwards as you sort of look up to get the back in a «U» shape. it is basically a Dhanurasana without the legs being pulled up). Overall Rita did a very good job.

oh my gosh, this place is so much better than Massage Envy. I am so glad my one year membership at Massage Envy is over and I can get out of the contract without penalties. At this place I can pre-​pay 10 sessions in advance and get a 60-​minute massage for only $ 40, way cheaper than Massage Envy and way more satisfying. I got my first massage this morning and May worked on my sore spots with expert care. I left feeling healed and energized.

I’ve been here a handful of times, and always had a wonderful experience. It’s clean, quiet, and the employees are all very professional. Also, the prices are unbeatable. Today, I had a 60 min. Swedish massage and a 30 min. foot massage for less than $ 60. I highly recommend this place!

As I sit here getting my foot rub I decided to write a review to help pass the time. This is my 10^th or so appt and over all my experiences have been great. I even fell asleep before which tells you how relaxing it can be. Today’s experience is not up to par. Less rubbing the legs means more rubbing the legs to my therapist. Between digging his thumb and grinding his knuckles into my feet, I wonder what his credentials are. I will return however I recommend not using «Tony «unless you desire to be ignored and in pain! The manager was very nice and offer me a free rub.

Perfect place to have your «me time» and pamper yourself. Their foot massages and Swedish massages are lovely. My fave masseuse is Lisa. Their ambiance is on point. They make sure people are quiet so you can fully relax and as soon as you step into the spa, you feel like you just went to a retreat and into isolation. The music is amazingly relaxing and you just feel a very calm energy. Decent price.

Can’t believe it’s taken me so long to write a review for this place– what a gem in downtown Livermore! I came in yesterday for a foot massage with my husband and it was the perfect way to end a long week. Steve did an excellent job for my hour foot massage. I’ve also gotten Swedish massages there in the past and I would definitely recommend that too. Make sure you get on their email list, they send out some great specials!

Perfect neighborhood get away! My husband and I love to drop in for an hour long foot massage and if you’re ever in need of an emergency stress release they also do amazing full body and chair massage. The atmosphere is peaceful and yet very casual. Their prices are excellent as well. Makes a great gift for anyone in need of some relaxation!

Got a foot massage and a couples massage here. Foot massages are good and the pressure is okay.
As for the couples massage, we got the Swedish massage and it was nothing like a Swedish massage I’ve had before and I have had a lot! The masseuse’s pressure was never enough even when I would tell her. I don’t think she understood what I was telling. At the very end she decided to put all of her weight into the massage as she went up and down my SPINE. pretty sure that’s not supposed to happen. I felt horrible afterwards as well as my husband.
We left a 5% tip because I felt they did not deserve anymore but didn’t want to not tip. And then the stupid girl at the front asked for MORE tips because they «worked very hard»… Yeah they worked very hard at NOT KNOWING WHAT THE HELL A GOOD MASSAGE IS. unbelievable.
Never ever returning.

My mom, sister and I are beyond loyal Relax Ave enthusiasts. You want to know why?
1. No frills attached epic massages. This isn’t your regular mild Swedish massage with soft strokes and aromatherapy — the pressure is firm, the technique is flawless and the masseuses simply get down to business from the start. It’s an hour of sheer bliss.
2. Friendly staff. As we’ve grown to become regulars over time, we’ve had significant interactions with both the staff and the masseuses and I can safely say that EVERYONE and I mean everyone is absolutely friendly and approachable. The last thing you need is rude service during your hour of me-​time.
3. Reasonably priced. Hour long foot massages are $ 30 ($ 22 if you prepay for them in packs of 4) and hour long Swedish massages are $ 60 ($ 45 if you prepay for them in packs of 4). I’ve had both services numerous times with numerous different masseuses (David, Sam, Stephen and John are our favs) and can attest to the quality of both.
The location in Livermore is convenient to head to whenever I visit my parents so I’ll definitely be back for more!
