HUGE selection of bourbons, especially some hard to find bottles. The staff is very knowledgeable, and directed me to some outstanding craft brews that I hadn’t tried. It’s a hike for me to get here, but I’ll be back.

Sad to say that although they’ve got a good selection, it’s not worth shopping there. Some stuff obviously lingers on the shelves far longer than it should. Worse is that prices, when marked, tend to be on the high side. Prices when not marked… Who knows what it costs. And unless you know what it should cost, you won’t know if you’re being ripped off.

Perry’s has an excellent selection, and I’ve gone there for years to find rare brews that you can’t get anywhere else locally. But, after having been overcharged (but caught every time) by $ 10-​$ 20 for countless times, I feel I have to point out some glaring weaknesses. Beyond just flat out making numbers up at the register, they play games with the prices. Anything without a sticker, they size you up and make random numbers up. Could be $ 16. Could be $ 25…for a beer you’d pay $ 14 elsewhere. I guess this crap works on some people, so they keep trying it. So, this is a mixed review where I’d say GO for the great selection but keep your eyes OPEN and don’t let them pull any games on you.

Perry’s Liquor has one of the best beer selections in town. Not only beer but whiskey, tobacco products and wine. It’s probably my favorite place to shop. HOWEVER — They are absolutely horrible at replacing beers. I am writing this review today 10/​17/​2015 because I just bought a beer and it was bottled in march of 2013… And this is no beer you would age whatsoever. This is the third time this has happened to me from Perry’s (shame on me for not checking before buying).
The worst part is how poorly this reflects on all the breweries that stock their beers there. Maybe it’s the reps faults, but either way, it’s swindling both the producers and the consumers.
Go there to buy some beer, I recommend it. But check the dates of everything and don’t buy anything without a date on it.

If you don’t rate this place a 5 for there beer selection alone than your crazy! Definitely top 3 in California for sure. If your every in the bay area go here. You won’t be disappointed

I’ve never gotten the correct total. I have *always* been overcharged until I remind them what their prices are on the rack. The selection is very, very good. The people are friendly. I’m not accusing anyone of being willfully dishonest. Just watch yourself and check the total. Every single time they will charge full price for an item marked sale unless you point it out to them. I’ve been going there for years… cautiously. Know what to expect and you’ll find what you want and not be disappointed. It’s on you to not get cheated, intentionally or no.

Good Craft beer selection. How ever prices are at least 25% higher then other places, A LOT OF EXPIRED BEER, WHICH THEY TRY TO HIDE. liquor selection is limited and prices are 25% higher then Raja Liqours. Lost my business.

If you’re into craft beer, great! Just be prepared to get overcharged. Or undercharged. The point is, they don’t have all their products in their system. I purchased a 6 pack of beer a few weeks ago and I thought it was a bit expensive but i figured it was ok. I went back today to purchase the same brand of beer and paid $ 3 less this time around, and they still didn’t have it in their system. Do they make up the price on the fly?

Come to this place all the time for a good selection of beers. Today i was sold an expired Nobel double IPA with the expiration cut off (see images for proof) and will not be returning. Shady business

If you’re into craft beer this is where you should be shopping. From the outside they look like a liquor store but at least half their stock is craft beer! It’s like walking into a beer candy store. The owner is super knowledgable and has offered some great recommendations. You’ll find things here you won’t find anywhere else!

I used to buy cases of pliny from this place, a year ago with friend from out of the area was visiting I went to buy pliny which was not out on the sales floor. The owner walked to the back and brought out a bottle of pliny and blind pig, I asked if I could get a few more bottles and he said it was for everybody. One time I went to buy several bottles of alpine pure hoppiness and he told me it was a 2 bottle limit, mind you I drove from work on my lunch break to buy. I sent me girlfriend there and he sells her 8 bottles. They have a good selection, however many bottles are marked up by 2 dollars or more. The last time I went there I asked him how much for RUINTEN, he asked me how much did I want to pay. I said 6.99 and he said okay, then his wife rang it up for 8.99. If selection and price gouging is your thing have at it. By the way they lost their pliny (Russian River) account, I wonder why? Actually I know the reason but it doesn’t matter. Greed

As a BevMo employee, I can say I was overwhelmed with this place. Never have I seen so many different Mikkeller beers all in one store. 10⁄10 for the selection. The prices are a tad bit higher compared to other bottle shops I’ve been to, but like I said, the selection at Perry’s takes the cake.
The only part of the store that I wasn’t a huge fan of was the vibe/​clientele. I was in there for nearly 45 minutes just scoping out the beers, and during that time every customer who had walked in was pretty much either a drunk, drug addict, or homeless person, buying tall cans of malt liquor and swishers. I understand that liquor stores normally get these types of customers, but for a place to have all of these lovely, rare craft beers without anyone appreciating them was kind of a bummer. But hey, I guess that means more beer for us beer lovers.

Awesome selection of craft, unusual and hard to find beers, and to top it off they are all refrigerated as well. Found some of my favorites here as well as many that I’ve never heard of before.

Oh damn… that’s all could say when I was here, but in a good way. On one of our beer hunting trips we traveled all the way from Stockton to Livermore just to see what all the hype was about and this place did not dissapoint. They had so many beers that you can’t find anywhere else. Not only that but they had it in bulk!

There is a slight mark up on some items, but what do you expect? Some of these beers are very hard to find. They also trade if you have something they are looking for.

Perry’s Liquors says it all. hard liquor, wines, lots of beers,. most of it microbrews. the brews are in showcases along the right wall. subdued lighting adds a mystery to what lurks behind the 20 odd clear paned doors.
It’s not easy getting to the the cheap and large selection of priced microbrews. there are display islands blocking direct access. once one navigates the obstacle course, there are hundreds of microbrews.
pour: moylan’s dragoon’s dry irish stout (22 oz, 5%. 4.49+)
–medium body, a little buzz, more like a lager. 3 stars.
on draught:
–some ‘gars too but only a small selection.
