I can’t give Dan enough praise on how he transformed our kitchen. It turned out perfect and was by far the best home construction project we have gone through.
We did a full blown remodel of our kitchen which included adding additional outlets, removing a partial wall, doubling the size of our island, new appliances and adding a build in desk/​hutch. Throughout the process Dan always set expectations. He was upfront with giving feedback on ideas we had, which in the long run, saved us some money. We used it preferred vendors for all the appliances, cabinets, counter tops, sink and faucet. Once you pick out what you want, you tell Dan and he will then do all the ordering.
Upon meeting Dan we told him what our budget was along with our ideas. He was completely honest and said, «with that budget, you will not be able to do everything». This was before a quote was received, where other contractors may have tried to find savings in other areas to make us happy.
We ended up going with semi-​custom cabinets, which I highly recommend. From start to finish, it took about 8 weeks. BE PATIENT!!! If you want your dream kitchen, it will take time. There is a process that needs to be followed. We are now 5 months into our new kitchen and it still looks and feels like it did on day 1.

We hired Dan again to finish the remodel we started in 2013 with master bath and closet. Dan helped us move forward by suggesting which items needed to be selected before the whole house remodel begins. This is a big job and lots of products needed to be selected in advance, but we did it and we started the project this month. It is going so smoothly, I love every step of the project so far and we were able to stay in our home while Dan and Rick work in the other half. I recommend Dan for any project in your home. He is reliable, honest, friendly and very professional. He is the best contractor ever. Hire him for your next project, you will not be disappointed. Dona P.

We employed Dan Uribe and his journeyman, Rick, to remodel the entirety of our 2 bed/2.5 bath townhome in Fremont. The work was pretty much top-​to-​bottom. New laminate floors, full painting, complete remodels on two of our three bathrooms, an entire kitchen remodel as well as some structural changes to the living room and the installation of central A/​C.
Dan was among the most professional, courteous, and friendly people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and his craft is top-​notch. In spite of odd work schedules where my wife and I are home during the week, Dan and Rick worked around us throughout the process, even insisting that it was unnecessary for us to temporarily move out or store our copious stuff (which they moved from room to room as necessary… these guys have strong backs.)
I cannot endorse Dan and his company strongly enough. We had several mid-​stream changes to our ideas. Dan and Rick were open to all of them and talked us through all our options. Our one hiccup was some laminate stair-​treads which we all agreed were not as advertised. Dan insisted that we return them the very day of their delivery so that we could get working on a better product.
My biggest concern in choosing a contractor was that I wanted the «big boss» to actually be in my house doing work, and that was what ultimately got Dan my business. He, Rick, and all of their sub-​contractors were always on time and kept me updated. My wife and I could not be happier.
And to echo what one other review says below, I didn’t know it was possible to remodel your house and have it be this tidy. Their dedication to cleaning up at the end of the day is amazing.
In short, if you have a job to do, my recommendation is without any reservations. JC Daniel is a great company and your experience will be a good one. Thanks, Dan and Rick.

We just had Dan do a remodel of our Kitchen. Project consisted of the installation of a new granit countertop and a new IH stove top. He always showed up on time as did his team. He also guided us to the best places to by what was needed at the lowest prices possible. Project was completed on time (Well almost on time) at an exceptional level of quality. We will for sure be recommending Dan to everyone we know and if we need anything else done in the future Dan will be the one we call.

Wow, am I glad that I forgot to check Unilocal before engaging Dan of JC Daniels to make over my bathroom. We had such a positive experience with him from start to finish that I find it hard to believe anyone could give him anything less than glowing reviews!
Dan was timely, courteous, respectful of our property, and unbelievably … UNDER BUDGET. I’ve done loads of renovation projects in the last 15 years and never once have I been able to say that. Plus, I really liked the way he managed his business … he had me pay the suppliers directly so that I never had any question about where my money was going (and I never had to worry that my contractor might be misappropriating my funds.)
Another thing that we loved about Dan is that when he said he was going to be there at 8:00 am on Tuesday, he was there at 8:00 am on Tuesday. There was absolutely NO FLAKY CONTRACTOR behavior on his part or on behalf of his associate, Josh (I think that was his name.) Oh, and did I mention that he was the neatest contractor I’ve ever used?!! I’m ashamed to admit that he kept our space cleaner than I do. Of course, I also have to note that when they were working at my house, they were SOOOO respectful. They made sure that my pooch never escaped, and I never came home to blaring music or raunchy language. It was such a refreshing change.
As for the finished product, it looks great. I think he told me he got his start in the business as a tile guy and I have to say the tile work in our bathroom is lovely. He gave us solid advice about fixtures and he had relationships with vendors that seemed to be honest and reasonable. (Our granite is gorgeous and he steered us to a supplier that only charged us for the portion of the slab that we used. When does that happen?!!)
Our experience with Dan was so good that we plan to use him again (when the coffers get replenished!) for another bathroom. He’s a stand up guy, a fair businessman, and a skilled craftsman. I wholeheartedly recommend him without reservation.

The bathroom wall is crumbling and growing mold, where shower & tile was put in two years ago. Disintegrating drywall and water leaking from shower basin, tile and grout. Inferior material & improper installation used, or this would not be occurring.
Requested follow up repairs to no avail.
Made to sign a release form under good faith, that work would last appropriate amount of time. It has not. No customer satisfaction what so ever.
