Man, these guys are good. I’m not a fan of Mechanic shops, I do a lot of my own, providing I have the tools and time. These guys (MANNY & FREDDY) are friendly and courteous, knowledgeable and efficient.
They will give you all the info you need and some, personally, if I ever need work done again, they will be the guys I call. !!!

The professionalism of this shop is amazing. If you are looking for an honest mechanic with fair prices, look no further! From hybrids to diesel engines, they can do it all!

This gem of a mechanic shop is awesome. Small but they do a better job… for less money… Than the dealer. And I got more info on my car than I ever got from the dealer. Frelic and crew are fantastic. They explain everything in detail.
I took my car I because it needed new tires and something was wrong with the windshield washer pump. Not only did they fix the pump but they brought me the broken unit and explained what happened and how they fixed it. With the tires, they told me two places to get quotes from because those places could sometimes do them cheaper. When I got all three quotes, El Mecanico was least expensive.
The replacement of the pump was going to take longer than expected, so they drove me home so I didn’t have to wait!
They are fantastic, honest and a pleasure to work with.

Honest and amazing service!!! Not only did they not charge me, they called and asked if I wanted my car dropped off at my home in San Ramon. These guys are awesome. Very professional and so very nice. El Mecanico is trustworthy and beyond. It’s so great to know there are honest business people out there they you can trust. These guys take trustworthy to a whole new level. The first time I went in to have the brakes replaced, they told me they inspected them and the pads still had some life on them. I asked how much I owed them for the inspection and they said no charge. The second time I went in, they repaired my other car at a VERY reasonable price and they explained every last itemized cost to me. They did an excellent job on my car. These guys are like Santa Claus and easter bunny. Too good to be true, except they are real!

El Mecanico deserves more than 5 stars. Frelic and his crew are very, honest, capable, knowledgeable and professional mechanics. They will not try to up-​sell or take advantage of their customers. They are old school – they look you in the eye and shake your hands after a transaction is completed. I LOVE El Mecanico!!!

It’s hard to find a mechanic you can trust, always doubtful about the problems they find with your car, however that’s not the case with Frelic and his team. Honest, trustworthy, professional and friendly (nice comfy office too). I’ve been to many different shops over the years but now I won’t trust my car anywhere else, and even though I just moved an hour away to Modesto, I’ll still bring my car here for service.

So there I was, working on the Jeep far far from home. My friend and I fixed several small problems and decided to tackle the black art of electrical wiring to get my driving lights working. After several hours of checking diagrams, running and then splicing wires, and double checking the diagrams we realized the futility of our mission. Totally stumped about why we could not make the lights work, my friend said there was only one solution. Call El Mecanico he said, and ask for Elicio and he will know how to fix it. So call and ask for Elicio I did, and he told me just come on down. I jumped in the Jeep and told Elicio what we had done. He looked things over, told me to give him thirty minutes and he would probably have it fixed. Thirty ish minutes later he was done and the lights worked. Turns out we had a couple wires crossed on a relay which where mislabeled on the diagram. So I paid the man a half hour of labor and went on my merry way. I dont know about the rest of the shop, but if you have electrical gremlins, Elico is the man.

Fast, Friendly, honest and economical. I had to travel back to Sacramento from San Jose and had trouble with my 97 Mustang. I searched throughout Liver-​more for a mechanic shop to help get me going before the end of the day. No one could help until the next day. I found the El Mecanico shop through a rental car company recommendation. Once I explained my situation to the owner, he started right away, diagnosed my problem, and had me going by the end of the day. Thank you EL Mecanico shop :)
